You have just found your own penthouse on the top ocean front corner with panoramic ocean views from every room. Be sure to see the Virtual Video Tour. The link is below the map and above the photos where the link to our other rental units, and website link is located. This is one of only of a few two bedroom units that has air conditioning throughout. Why suffer with just a wall unit in the living room (like other condos), when you can have air in both bedrooms as well as the living room?

Sit back and enjoy the spectacular, crystal blue and balmy Pacific Ocean from your large private lanai with tide pools just 30 feet away.

This 2 bedroom ocean front unit is on the north corner of the top floor of the D building. This unit has the advantage of being cooler than many other units and experiences cooling, balmy breezes. There are side windows in the dining room, kitchen and each of the bedrooms, providing natural lighting and a cross breeze. There is an air conditioner, although with the good breezes it is usually not needed.

Comfortable sleeping for up to 6 persons, there is a king size bed in the master bedroom, and a king size bed in the second bedroom, and a queen sleeper/sofa bed in the living room. TV's are in the living room and each of the bedrooms.

Also positioned right next to the shoreline, the Resort’s recently renovated salt water pool and Jacuzzi is just a few steps away from the unit itself; as well as the four immaculately-maintained gas barbecues in the dining cabana adjacent to the pool. That is a great place to BBQ dinner, and watch the beautiful Kona Sunsets.

Complete convenience, Hawaiian style! The Kona Reef is on the edge of Kona town, so you do not have to drive every time you want to go into town. You can walk to town in just a few minutes, and visit numerous restaurants, shops and the farmers market. It is really one of the most convenient locations in Kailua-Kona.

This private condominium has everything you need for an unforgettable Hawaiian experience. It is fully furnished including dishwasher, washer/dryer, small appliances, hair dryer, dishes, utensils and linens. It includes dish washing soap, dish washer soap and a starter box of detergent. It is your own personal, tropical beach hideaway!

Our availability calendar is always up to date, and we have multiple units available at the Kona Reef. We have always enjoyed staying at the Kona Reef. Ken and Dia's condo is the best we've stayed in. It just feels like home for us. Everything you need is just a short walk away. We can't recommend this "Oceanfront Condo" enough!

This was the best vacation rental we've used here in Kona.

This location was perfect relative to Kona and had the most wonderful view of the ocean! The pool was convenient and refreshing to use after a tough day at the ocean where we snorkeled and swam. The unit itself was cool and inviting and comfortable. I'm very sad to leave tomorrow morning but will return when we can and will definitely stay here again.

We have rented many condos and this is by far the best. The attention to detail is amazing. If I owned this condo I would not change one thing. True ocean front penthouse. Walk to downtown or the beach. No need for a car once you get there. Bravo!

Great Kona Vacation!!!

We truly loved our week in this unit. The condo is spacious and beautiful. The air conditioning in living and bedrooms was very much appreciated because July was hot and humid! We were able to walk into Kona so liked that as well. By far, sitting on the lanai in the mornings and evenings was the best!

Location, Location, Location

What a wonderful place to stay. My husband and I spent a lot of time on the lani. The view was awamazing. Ken and Dia where wonderful to work with from our initial contact through our arrival day. There were some problems with the air conditioning prior to our arrival which were reported to the owners. They had an air conditioning vendor at the condo the day after we arrived and fixed the problem. Our son and his family spent a lot of time by the pool. The condo was very clean and tastefully decorated. An awesome place to stay and would recommend to anyone looking for an oceanfront condo. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Ken and Dia for sharing your vacation home. When the opportunity arrives to travel back to Kona, we will definately stay here.

Nice two bedroom...shame the a/c was not working properly

We really loved our stay at the Kona Reef...the staff were so helpful and friendly. Our 4th floor location had the best of lanai sunsets and the crashing surf was so soothing at night. The amenities and furnishings were clean, comfortable and stylish. The charming pool area was a bit small plus the number of BBQ's were limited considering the number of units on site.

Our particular room (the master) did not have an operating A/C...though it's fan did work---and being the room furthest from the ocean breeze it was quite hot by the end of the day (daytime temps were 86-89). Thank goodness the owners supplied us with a with the front door open we were able to cool the room into the 80's. On Monday (we arrived on Saturday), the A/C repairmen arrived but could not repair the equipment and needed to contact the owner for further action. Obviously the owner did not wish to have a functional A/C. As planned we checked out on Thursday morning...without any action to fix the A/C. Such a shame, since the unit is so perfect otherwise.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to give your comments. The AC service technician needed to order a part from the manufacturer and being Hawaii, the delivery time was two weeks away. It has come in, and the technician scheduled the necessary repairs. It would make no sense that we would install AC and then not want to repair it, however circuit boards do need to be shipped in by the manufacturer. We are glad that other than the unplanned outage of one of the internal AC units you enjoyed your stay, and hope you can return in the near future.
