July 8, 2007What a delightful stay at the Lake House! From the luscious bedding the the serene lagoon view—our ten days were perfect. We enjoyed the Lake, fabulous warm water swimming –late at night, and especially all the amenities once could ever need… thoughtfully provided. My sister and I and our children thoroughly enjoyed and relaxed and will never forget it.Thank you so much for the hospitality. North Carolina rocks! All the best,Linda Lockwood, San Rafael California
I would definitely stay there again
Of all of the places we've rented on the lake, this spot's--far and away--my favorite. Even cuter and better in the pictures and description. We spent all of our time out on the deck, overlooking the cove. So quiet. So new and clean. Everything you need for a few days. And super comfy beds. The layout was perfect for my 80something father. Also so great and easy for those traveling with doggies. We will be back--we hope maybe once or twice more before the end of the year!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at this charming little cottage! The setting cannot be rivaled with spectacular views of the lake. Everything you need is at your disposal for your comfort. We enjoyed daily kayaking on the lake, as well as swimming and fishing off the dock. We took advantage of the Lake Norman State Park, which is less than a 10 minute drive, for incredible hiking. Also rented a pontoon boat from Skipper's Landing, which was a pleasant experience and made for a great day on the lake!! The Daveste Winery (15 min drive) has a great little winery tour set on beautiful grounds, which is worth checking out if you like wine or craft beer. Of course, we got our daily "dog fix" from Teddy, the neighbors's dog, who is as sweet as can be! Semi private and peaceful setting made for one awesome, relaxing week! Thank You, Grahams!
This owner had one of the cleanest and well-thought out homes I've rented. All of the little details in the home were spectacular. We used the kayaks, peddle boat, canoe, lawn chairs, grill. Lake water was warm and clean. Not far from stores and other attractions.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was very relaxing, quiet and clean. The location is perfect as it is close to shopping, grocery stores and any kind of restaurant you could want. We loved the fact it was tucked away in a quiet cove. My 13 year old discovered kayaking and we definitely plan to buy a couple now. My husband loved the lake so much he now wants to someday move to a lakeside home. LOL. We live in the mountains of NC so the heat really reminded us of our hometown of Durham.....The AC went out one day and the owner actually heard the unit struggling and called a repairman who was out in a matter of hours. .I am glad that we decided to try a lake vacation rather than the beach and we definitely would love to come back in the Fall. Will definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.
The Lake House was perfect for us. We enjoyed family time and quiet time. The gazebo provided shade and enjoyment all day. We enjoyed the water, kayak and peddle boat daily. We look forward to another Lake Norman adventure.
