About the property

- 2 BR, 2 BA, Sleeps 6.

This is my favorite place to go. You have it all here. Walk into this light and bright home with beautiful paintings, comfortable sleeper sofa, comfortable beds, hot tub and heated pool. You will feel the good energy surround you while you are here at this home! Bring your boat or use the kayak and cruise down the intercoastal waterway to the oldest city in the country. You may just want to relax and watch your favorite TV/DVD show on the 50" Smart TV. Floors are ceramic tile and quality carpet in the master bedroom. Master has a 32' LCD TV/DVD. The large master bedroom has a king size bed and a twin. You will love the large walk in closet. Master bedroom has a private full bathroom. The 2nd bedroom is very colorful with beachy surfer decor and has a queen bed and a twin. This bedroom has a 26' LCD TV/DVD. Just look at my pictures and you will see how comfortable and cheerful this home is. Another bathroom next to the 2nd bedroom. The fully stocked kitchen has all the appliances you will need and very accommodating. All remodeled kitchen with beautiful quartz countertops installed. You will enjoy the view of the waterway while relaxing in the large hot tub.

Bring your boat if you wish and dock it on the 10x20 floating dock. There are two boat ramps within a mile. There is one single kayak and one tandem kayak ready for you with paddles and life jackets. Maybe a ride to the beach on the beach bikes sounds better. Just have fun and do it all! Ride the bikes or walk to the beach which is 10 minute walk. This area has special designated beach access walkway or choose the Crescent Beach Park where there is a drive on beach access, oceanfront restaurant, showers.. Also, a large parking area if you choose not to drive on the beach. 4x4 advised. I have included a map and a booklet with favorite places and restaurants for you.

Heated inground pool looks beautiful! I designed the first step to be very large and about one foot deep to use as a kiddie pool or area to sunbathe. The deck around the pool is huge. Weber Grill and outdoor PVC patio table and chairs for your outdoor BBQ's is great.

A large patio with an 32' LED TV outside in a waterproof custom made box. White vinyl privacy fence and large palm trees to give you that tropical feeling.

Lovely Crescent Beach Home

  • 4 of 5

I was tempted to give this home five stars and the only reason I did not is because of the neighborhood.

The homeowner, Donna, is one of the best hostesses I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Very thorough from the start of the booking process to the end of it. She has done a great job decorating the home. Appliances were top notch. The pool is positively lovely - and clean - as is the hot tub. Beds were comfy; linens were of high quality and supplies like dishwashing detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. were plentiful which is always a nice touch for someone who is traveling (no need to run to the store for supplies on your first night).

The neighborhood however is a bit eclectic or what might be called "gentrified". Seems like it's a mix of folks who really take care of their homes (like Donna) and those that don't along with new construction. But we felt safe and secure and were comfortable riding the wonderful bikes provided around the area. Crescent Beach was just a short ride away although I was a bit disappointed that there was no direct beach access on the street of the home.

Being so close to the inter-coastal made for a nice evening view but there was a lot of mud around the dock so we opted to forego kayaking as we really didn't want to end up in the water or mud.

Overall the home afforded us most of the bells & whistles we like while vacationing.

Owner's Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a response about my wonderful waterfront home. It is very unique and special home for sure. The pool area is so relaxing and quiet. The tide comes and goes so at high tide it is quite beautiful and fun to watch the fish jump. At low tide the sides get mucky but it is still 4 ft down the center for a boat to come and go. Kayaking is fun and most people try it and have a great time. I just painted my floating dock a bright blue to match the trek wood high top chairs and blue accents. It definitely makes a statement and I love it! The inside is so clean and beautifully decorated. New 50" Smart TV just added today. Every chance I get I upgrade something. More pavers, new sod, and rock just added also. As for the neighborhood... it resembles a fishing village close to the ocean. I'm sure you enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. I keep the pool at 88 degrees for your comfort and the hot tub at 102 degrees. Of course you had the option of changing it. Hope you enjoyed yourselves with the beautiful weather you had and hope to hear from you again. Thank you for all your kind comments.

This House Has Everything!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this property at the end of September 2016. When we arrived, the house was clean, clean, clean! The house is in a great location on Anastasia Island and within a short drive to St. Augustine. The owner of this house has put a great deal of effort and thought into making this a great vacation rental. Both bathrooms and kitchen had been recently remodeled. The house is tastefully decorated and furniture very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliances and equipment that you might need to cook or BBQ at home. The pool was great! All of the extras (pool, bicycles, kayaks, grill, etc.) make this a much better value than staying at a hotel or condo. My husband and I have rented many vacation homes over the years, but this was the best by far.

Peaceful and clean

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed with our dog Holly for an extended weekend. We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and the pool and hot tub were perfect. We got up to watch the sunrise on the beach each morning (very close to beach parking so that was convenient). It is only a short drive to downtown St. Augustine and a nice area to walk around. Thank you for letting us use your home for our vacation.

When you make a commitment to rent a distant home in an unknown location, it is a roll of the dice. Our choice at St. Augustine exceeded expectations - even hopes - on all counts. The home is in a quiet neighborhood. St. Augustine is about 18 min. north. Beautiful ocean beach is about 3/4 mile to the east, and Mantanzas River about two blocks to the west. The home is CLEAN, and filled with top quality everything. Great and complete kitchen, beds, linens, appliances, - all are superior. It comes stocked with staples to get you started, and cooking supplies. The heated swimming pool and the new hot tub are bordered by a shaded deck, lounge chairs, and enclosed by a privacy fence. I am happy and comfortable to give this our highest recommendation. Why? My comments have been understated and we have already made a down payment to return next Spring. If you want this place, you better move quickly. If you have needs, Donna, the owner, will see to them. Dick and Joan Fleming, Eau Claire, Wisc.

Owner's Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I am so happy you really enjoyed your vacation in my home and have reserved it again next March 2017. It is a very special home with quality items and so nicely decorated and clean. I clean with the cleaning crew each and every home. I think it makes a huge difference. I am there to pay attention to the details that management companies are unable to do. I work hard to keep my homes perfect in every way for my guests. You were wonderful guests and left my home so nice. It made me happy to know you enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub everyday during the month of February-March. I am glad to have you return next year to explore more of the great historic St. Augustine area.

The house was comfortable, relaxing, well equipped with a picturesque back yard. You could look at and see wonderful birds and the fish jumping. Donna made sure we had everything we needed and was responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely stay there when we return.

Owner's Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Glad you enjoyed your home and would love to return. Home has a special positive energy about it that you just feel good when you are there. It is hard to explain in writing, but so many others feel the same way. I keep my homes very well stocked with quality items. I love to decorate so home has beautiful tropical decor, very clean home since I clean along with the cleaning crew, and the picturesque back yard with heated pool, hot tub, covered patio, and on the water! Bikes to ride to the beach or kayaks to explore the waterway. What more could anyone want? Thanks for keeping my home so nice. I really appreciate it.

Everyone loves St. Augustine. You will want to come back to this town year after year. My home is north end of Cresent Beach. This is a beautiful area convenient to everything. Only 10 miles south of the downtown Historic District. Beautiful beaches here at Crescent Beach. Oceanfront Restaurant/lounge only 1/2 mile away at the drive on beach access. There is also a large parking area for those who do not want to drive on the beach. Pavillions and showers at Crescent Beach Park also.

Very dog friendly beach as long as you walk with a leash. I encourage you to bring your pet only if well behaved.

Golf: Take a ride to the Islands about 5 miles south of this home and see many boats parked here on a sunny day. If you have never been to St. Augustine you will love it! Please ask me any questions you may have.
