About Frank Biederer
Tisha and Frank grew up in Northern Illinois and were married in 1993. Tisha is a high school teacher and Frank is a self employed Executive Recruiter. We have two children, Riley age 13 and Parker Age 11. We have two golden retrievers, Zeus and Percy. Paramount Place was our home when we first moved to Georgia and we live about an hour away, in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. We moved to Georgia after we completed the construction of Paramount Place in 1997. (we designed and built the home ourselves...) It was our primary residence for about 2 years. We moved closer to Atlanta to get our children into a neighborhood where there were more kids to play with.
Frank Biederer purchased this Cabin in 1994
Why Frank Biederer chose Ellijay
Two Words..... The VIEW!
What makes this Cabin unique
First, the view is incredible. Panoramic Mountain view as far as you can turn your head from one side to another, with 2-3 rooftops visable at most. Even when it rains it is beautiful! The sunrises are so pretty. The mountains to the northwest literally light up BEFORE the sun breaks the eastern horizon. Full moons on a clear night are fantastic, lighting up the hills and valleys and making all the ridgelines show up at night. Nights with no moon reveal so many stars it reminds you how much residual light there is in most places we live. The fall colors are just stunning and winter leaves the tops of the mountains white with snow and ice and it will snow 3-4 times a year at the house. From a location standpoint, it is a great place to 'base camp' for your exploration of the North Georgia region. Amicalola Falls is 10 minutes, the Appalacian Trail is 10 minutes, two major moutain lakes (Lake Blue Ridge and Carters Lake) are within a half hour. The mountian communities of Ellijay, Blue Ridge, Jasper, Dahlonega are all within a half hour. You can canoe, kayak and raft on the Cartecay River within 10 minutes. You are at the edge of the Chattahoochee National Forest and it can serve as your playground with trails, hatcheries, mountains to climb and streams to swin and fish in. Atlanta and all its attractions are within an hour and 15 minutes. The Ocoee River Oylmpic Whitewater facility is an hour. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway can be picked up in Ellijay or Blue Ridge and is an open air train that takes you up a river valley all the way to Tennessee. Lots to do. Lots of Places to see. Funny thing is when we stay there, we stay there. We just sit on the deck or in the home with friends and family and enjoy the mountains right from the house. We suspect many of our guests do the same...

Owners care a lot about pleasing their renters. Place was spacious and had hot tub, fire pit, a/c cable tv, comfortable beds. Negative was the road to get up to the home. You need a vehicle with a lot of power, preferably four wheel drive.
Amazing weekend, beautiful property
My friends and I spent the weekend here and had a blast. All the house amenities were in clean, working condition (hot tub, pool table, patio furniture). The inside of the house was in excellent condition and the owner was very friendly and easy. He in fact spent a whole week before we arrived cutting down 200+ trees to make sure we had a great Mountain View from the house. Highly recommend this place for groups of 4-10 looking to have a good weekend in the mountains.
This was a great place for our graduation getaway! It was just like the photos revealed and had the space we needed. The kids and even adults enjoyed the fusbol and pool table making for some great competitions!! The fire pit and hot tub were perfect for our evenings when Mother Nature cooperated. We greatly appreciate the notebook of things to do and see. Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful mountains and home for making great memories!!
Gorgeous views, beautiful home.
The views were gorgeous, the house was very clean and inviting and had everything we needed for a great vacation. The road up to the house is a little steep, but well maintained.
Rode hard and put up wet
Not impressed_ this place has a lot more age on it than the pics show_ a let down to say the least_ way overpriced!!!!
David received a last minute discount to stay in our home.
My communication the morning of David's scheduled departure (Sunday May 5)...
Hi David. I hope your stay has been a good one. Just checking in with you. I have guests coming in this afternoon at 4:00 pm. Housekeeping is planning on arriving at noon unless you notify me that you have checked out prior to that.
We had to leave yesterday, I got a dose of food poisoning.
So all is clear for cleaner.
So David arrived at our home on Friday evening, slept there, woke up sick from something he ate, and left. No mention of being unhappy. The two previous guests who rented our home IMMEDIATELY prior to David's arrival gave the home 5 star reviews. I have 272 reviews over 14 years. 4 of them are one star. Not sure what to say about this review. This home rents 35-50 times a year. Since 2004. Gets mostly four and five star reviews. Its not new, but my guests love it, and we do our best to provide a clean, safe, quality experience for them. The guests this weekend checked in yesterday afternoon and texted me it's a wonderful home and they look forward to a great week there.
Nice layout for 6-10 people to enjoy a long weekend.
Glad you enjoyed our home. Thanks for the five star review. If you come back, reach out to me first before you book for a returning guest discount!
