Lovely and comfortable - Ideal stay in the Santa Barbara area

  • 5 of 5

Everything you read in the other 5-star reviews about the location, accomodations, and hosts is true, so I'll try to add a few things that may have gotten missed. The quality of the furnishings and linens is excellent and the artwork is plentiful and attractive, a point many other hosts miss but which makes is feel more like a home than a rental. The landscaping around the property is beautiful - plants everywhere - and a pleasure to admire sitting outside or just walking from the car to the door. The numerous motion-sensing lights were greatly appreciated since we were out every night, another one of those things less thoughtful hosts often skimp on. The cable selection was extensive, and even though we watched very little TV we had the excellent music channels on constantly. We had chosen this location mainly for the proximity to Santa Barbara but we spent at least part of every day in Montecito; the village offers quite a bit and is extremely walkable not to mention Butterfly Beach bing a ten minute walk in the other direction.. In short, we stayed here to be close to SB and had all these little bonuses to enjoy on top of it. We would come back without a second thought.

Great time!

We had a wonderful time in a perfect home! We stayed 3 nights and were in town for a long wedding weekend! Pam and Eric's home was a nice alternative to the extremely costly hotel rooms in the area. Thanks!!!

Great studio

  • 5 of 5

The studio was a perfect place to stay for the weekend. It is clean, nice, walking distance to the beach and main street in Montecito. It's a quick cab or uber to downtown Santa Barbara. The owners are very nice and hospitable. There are beach towels and beach chairs available for use. It was great! We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect Montecito location

  • 5 of 5

This casita was in the perfect location for us - just a short walk to Channel Drive and Butterfly beach, both very picturesque - and it was an even shorter walk to the lower village and Coast Village Road with all of its restaurants and shops.

The property was fitted out with everything we needed. In addition to the table and chairs in the apartment there was a nice little private patio with its own breakfast table and chair area. Even though it was close to 101 the property is well buffered and street noise in unnoticeable. Our hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Great stay.

Coming home again

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I lived in Santa Barbara for ten years before returning to the East coast where we were from originally.

Since being back in New England we relish our visits back to California, especially to Santa Barbara where we have many memories.

Finding a place to stay for our trip that was both comfortable , well located, and hosted by terrific people, is a tall order. Happily, we found it all at Pam and Eric's casita. It is charming, impeccably clean, and the friendly graciousness of our hosts made it especially appealing.

Being in Santa Barbara is enchanting under any circumstances, but being a guest at Baja Montecito Casita

elevated our stay to an even higher level.

For future vacations we cannot imagine staying anywhere else.

Montana fell in love with Santa Barbara

  • 5 of 5

Our stay with Pam and Doug was perfect. We didn't see them all that much, and Doug more than Pam, but still perfect in every way..... the little house/apartment behind their garage was very private and secluded. It was clean and fresh.... I'm sensitive to smells and it smells wonderful.... there was coffee, tea, little bit of sugar/sweeteners.... but no cream for this girl, I think that would be my only complaint if I HAD to find one, but we just went to store and bought our own! Not a big deal. Thank you Doug and Pam....
