A FEW DAYS OF WARM SUN, WHITE SAND, OCEAN WAVES. The best spot for relaxing and getting away for a while!
The SOUTHERN TIDES BEACH COTTAGE is our secondary home. We live full-time in Madison, AL and both work at Huntsville Hospital. We were the first renter's from the previous owners. We loved the house and it's location from the moment we walked in the door. We rented the house at least 1-2 times per year and we treated it as if it was already our own and actually got to know some of the neighbors throughout the years. We talked numerous times about purchasing the house if it
became available....and it did! We truly believe that it was the Lord's blessing for us to become the new owners. We look forward into providing you and your family a well deserved stay at our SOUTHERN TIDES BEACH COTTAGE!
Sherri Richardson purchased this house in 2014
SOUTHERN TIDES will feel like a home away from home for you. It is only a small walk to the beach and you can't beat the beautiful white sands that Gulf Shores Beach offers. The home is newly decorated with new furniture, decor and provides all new bedroom linens, bath linens and the kitchen is completely stocked with new utensils, bakeware, flatware and dishes. We have a plan of complete kitchen and bathroom renovations down the road. Hope to see you then!
Close to beach without the high prices of staying on the beach. Quiet residential neighborhood. Relaxing mornings, afternoons and evenings swinging in one of two porch swings provided, while watching sunsets over the Lagoon.
Wow! Wonderful house, beautifully decorated and had everything just like home. Our family felt very welcome and loved looking out at the awesome view from the deck. Close to everything yet family oriented. We had a great vacation and looked forward to returning to the house to relax after a day at the beach. Locals and year round neighbors were very welcoming and friendly. We look forward to returning next year!

We were very pleased with our recent vacation in Gulf Shores. The house is a very easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the deck eating lunch after being on the beach. This home was very clean and it is furnished with everything you need. We have stayed at other homes in the area and this one is great. I actually like the fact that it is a block off of the beach so the road noise is minimal. I also like the fact that it isn't a duplex. I do wish that my truck could have fit under it to keep it out of the sun but it was too big... Which doesn't take anything away from the house. The owner was easy to work with and was quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this beach house!
LOVED this beach house, the location is perfect and it never felt like we were on vacation it truly felt like home. From the upper wrap around deck you have both lagoon and gulf views. My 6 year old loved checking the beach flags every morning from the deck. A quick 2 minute 1 block walk puts you right on the beach and since the home is located away from the big hotels and resorts it felt very private as it was never over crowded and there was always a place to set up. My only complaint ( which isn't valid because I knew this prior to reserving) there is no grill or grilling allowed at the home which again doesn't affect my rating at I knew this before hand. When we return to Gulf Shores we will be renting this home again!
I agree with all previous 2015 reviews. The owner's upgrades/updates are awesome. I love the full stocked kitchen and the linens are top of the line. Thank You owners for a great stay.
What can I say? This has been our vacation spot for almost 10 years. We love the comfort of the cottage and the hospitality is what keeps us coming back. The updates are beautiful and we certainly look forward to our yearly stay are your vacation home. Congratulations and we'll see you next year.
What an absolutely wonderful place ! This beach house was perfect for our family of 3...Awesome location in a very quiet neighborhood and very short walk to the beach or lagoon! Everything we needed was in the house and it truly was a slice of heaven for me and my family! Looking forward to another stay next year! Owners were awesome to work with and issues were resolved very quickly...
