Lakefront 5 BR 3.5 BA home, sleeps 13
The striking lake view hits you immediately when you open the front door and step into the grand entry. This beautiful, custom designed, custom built home is on a deep water cove on Lake Keowee. This home resembles a lodge with its post and beam construction, soaring stone fireplace, hardwood floors, 22' ceilings, Mission style furnishings, and lots of glass for lake views. The main gathering room is 32'x25' and has a comfortable seating area with two swivel rockers, a queen sleeper sofa, oriental rugs, and an art carved coffee table. Enjoy the large screen cable TV, DVD, CD, tuner, and Bose surround sound speakers. (There are enough remote controls to challenge even the best of 'surfers') The large 'lodge' room also 'sports' a game table that flips to poker, bumper pool, or an additional dining/board game table.
Games, books, CD's, DVD's, and playing cards are available. There is also a large 'memory board' with pictures of former guests. (Please add some pictures of your group)
The gourmet kitchen has a 5'6' island and is suitable for several cooks as well as everyone else who always seem to hang out there. Two sinks, walk-in pantry, and commercial ice machine complete the list of well-appointed appliances. Table service for 16 and all necessary kitchen utensils and cookware are included for your convenience. Farmhouse table seats 10-12. Adjacent screened porch has another table for 6.
On the main level can also be found the master suite with a king size cherry bed handmade by the owner himself. Relax in bed with a private TV. The adjacent screened porch has a couch and rockers for 'chilling out'. The master bath has dual height vanities, a whirlpool lounging tub, and a large shower with 2 shower heads for 'partnering up'.
The recirculating pump makes waiting for hot water a thing of the past.
The upper level has two suites separated by a 32' open balcony overlooking the lodge room. Each suite has two bedrooms and a tile bath. This arrangement makes it suitable for family reunions, company retreats, or just the desire to spread out.
The 2 level boat dock has two jet ski ramps and room for a boat. The upper deck is for sunning and watching the kids perform ski tricks. The cove is large enough for skiing but quiet enough for swimming and floating. Lake Keowee has 300 miles of pristine shoreline. Its a short distance the the Keowee Marina where boat rentals, an outdoor bistro, and evening entertainment are available.
We have tried to think of all your needs so your vacation can be as relaxing as possible. Along with the standard kitchen appliances: oven/microwave, french door ref./
freezer, dishwasher, commercial ice machine, compactor, disposal) we have supplied the kitchen with an automatic coffee maker, toaster oven, waffle maker, blender, hand mixer, spices, a starter supply of dish washing liquid, dishwasher detergent, paper products, laundry detergent,etc.. The baths have hand soap, toilet paper, tissues, and linens (please bring your own beach towels). Bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans, quality mattresses, and high count linens.
In the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is Sencea, SC, a progressive little town within a larger fun-filled area. This area includes 3 major lakes, 4 state parks, a national forest and Clemson University. Water sports of all kinds (fishing, boating, skiing, sailing, jet skiing, swimming, and tubing, just to mention a few) are the most popular tourist draws.

this was almost HEAVEN...in South Carolina.....we had the MOST RELAXING trip ever at this house. Working people have had a major problem "getting back in the working mode" after being this relaxed and kicked back. The screened porches are great...with the lake view...lounging on the dock......peaceful.....very accomodating to most everything...the lake is beautiful...we WILL go back....our crowd has talked about an ANNUAL trip...and very worth it....THANKS to Rick and Marcia. Went into Seneca and saw a great Beach Band and downtown "festival" while there......great grocery shopping....and some neat places to go...even Greenville is not too far away!!!!!
Nice house, beautiful view, few drawbacks
The house was lovely & in a great location for us. The ping pong table, fire place & open floor plan were great since it was cold & we stayed inside most of the time. However several light bulbs were out & with the tall ceiling we were not able to replace them. The kitchen is open & 2 sinks were great. The kitchen cabinets were messy & unorganized which made putting things away a bit difficult. The big table was perfect for our family dinners. Overall the house was great. The biggest complaint is the price that was advertised turned out to be wrong. When I put in a request for the house the price went up by almost $1000. Due to a house remodel not being finished we didn’t have much of a choice. If a price is advertised it should be honored.
Home away from Home!
We have stayed in this house for the Clemson Football season and it is wonderful! Beautiful views, well equipped, great layout, easy commute to Clemson. We have found this house to work perfectly for our extended family. There is plenty of room to spread out, the bedroom layout is great for our family. The kitchen is big and very nice. Porches and views are beautiful. This is a great location, beautiful lake house, easy to get to grocery stores, restaurants, and a short ride to Clemson. We have loved staying here and would highly recommend, Go Tigers!
Great house with excellent location on the lake and close to Clemson
Excellent house. It is located in a quiet part of the lake, but still close to Clemson. It comfortably accommodated 10 adults for the weekend. Large living room and kitchen perfect for cooking big meals. We would stay at this house any time we visit Clemson.
we really had a great time
This property was as advertised and delivered. our family had a great time, very rooming and cozy at the same time. Beautiful view from the house and dock. very close to town if you forgot something. rooms and beds were very comfortable our kids did not want to leave
Terrific home for big family
We bring our kids and grandkids to Lake Keowee each summer. The pluses of this home are the two screened porches and the double decker dock. Kids ate in the one screened porch, and adults had quiet time in the afternoon in the other, which is well shaded.
Jumping off the sun deck was great fun for all the kids and many of their parents. The icemaker in the kitchen got hard use -- so important in July.
Compared to other homes I have rented, this was the most expensive. It was also poorly supplied -- we had one roll of paper towels, no extra toilet tissue, very few garbage bags, no laundry supplies (other than those marked for doing their linens). The new metal chairs on the dock are hazardous. My son sat on one and created a grid-like burn on his back. Be sure to use the cushions on those chairs.
We are so glad you enjoyed the home and its different areas. We are sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced but it is stated in the description that we provide "starter" supplies. We anticipate that guests will be going to the store to purchase coffee, paper products, laundry supplies, etc. to accommodate their group for the duration of their stay.
Lakepoint Lodge is located on a large deepwater cove, on a quiet street. Although the street has less than a dozen homes, it is located off Hwy. 188 which is a main connector to Seneca, Clemson, and Walhalla. A boat launch is only 2 miles away. The Keowee Marina is a short 5 min. boat ride or a 10 min. car ride (for gas, supplies, and cafe). The Marina also hosts bands and dancing on summer nights. Its a great destination for an evening cruise. There is a new restaurant (2016) called the Lighthouse which can also be accessed by car or boat.
Golf: Table Rock State Park has nature trails, picnicking, and beautiful waterfalls. Sumter National Forest has hiking trails, waterfalls, lakes, and streams. Clemson University is only 10 miles away and has all sorts of athletic and cultural events and a 208 acre botanical garden. Whitewater rafting is available on the Chattooga River. The specialty shops on Ram Cat Alley in Seneca provide a delightful way to spend the afternoon antiquing and hunting those one-of-a-kind items. Several golf courses and a large tennis center with fitness facilities are nearby. Seneca, Clemson, and Anderson have all kinds of restaurants to satisfy all kinds of tastes and budgets. A mult-screen theatre, bowling alley, banks, hospital, churches, grocery stores, and drug stores are just minutes away.
