Terry and I have lived on this property for 26 years and have loved it . We have made our garden a hobby and love to share it with friends & family.
Barb Egland purchased this studio in 1988
We fell in love with Carmel years ago because of the charm and quaintness that is here.
I was a Concierge and can assist with your requests while staying here.
We are a close walk into town, just 1 mile north of Ocean Avenue.
My girlfriend and I had such an amazing time at Barb's cottage. She herself is wonderful, and provided us with an entire desk filled with activities in the area. The cottage itself is great, very cozy and with all the amenities one would need. The location is awesome, only a 3 minute drive to downtown Carmel. Would definitely stay there again!
My husband and I spent our post holiday at this cottage. It was very quiet and private which we enjoyed alot. The kitchen and bathroom
was very enjoyable to use. The kitchen was lovely and was stocked with all the appliances and utensils to cook your own meal.
It was a bit further walk to town then we anticipated, but it was fine once we decided to drive into town sometimes. I especially enjoyed
the comfortable chair to read in and quiet of the cottage. We spent the days in downtown Carmel doing the regular activities (e.g.eating and shopping). It was a lovely stay and we would like to return to the cottage again!
My husband and I loved the cottage. Barbara put so much thoughtfulness and care into decorating as well as the little things like leaving us a bottle of wine. We stayed for three nights in early December, and she even had a table-top Christmas tree in the cottage. I am now searching Pottery Barn's website for those plush robes she has in the cottage. Since we had no room to pack ours, we really appreciated them. The kitchen has everything you could wish, even coffee and hot chocolate! The patio was gorgeous, and I loved seeing the birds and so many flowers in bloom in December. We're from the mid-Atlantic, and it's colder here. If my grandchildren were not living on the East Coast, I could happily move to California. This was my first visit, and I loved it.
This little cottage has the most comfortable bed and has every detail covered! The room is super cute and romantic and the kitchen has all the comforts of home and more. Treat yourself to a little slice of heaven you will not regret it!
I took my boyfriend to Carmel for a weekend of golf, delicious meals, and relaxation for his birthday. We had a great time and found the cottage to be a perfect place to rest our heads. The well equipped kitchen allowed for us to cook breakfast, so we didn't have to go out for every meal. The guest cottage was clean, well appointed, and met all our needs. We were in close proximity to downtown Carmel and took inexpensive Uber rides to dinner each night. Overall, we had a great experience. Barb was very sweet and thought of all the finishing touches: bottle of wine upon arrival, snacks, coffee/hot chocolate/apple cider pods, and bottles of water. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again!
My husband, 3 month daughter and I stayed in this adorable little cottage in Carmel for three nights a little family vacay. The pictures don't do this place justice. Barbara has thought of everything- from the fully stocked kitchen, the bathroom with all the amenities to the closet/office chalk full of travel books about the area. The only thing we didn't like was the mattress- it was so soft that we sunk right in so it was hard to sit up in bed. We are used to a firmer mattress. But some people love these really soft mattresses so it's just a personal preference. Overall, it was an amazing getaway for an even better price. We would definitely return.
