I have fallen in love with your place. It is so hard to leave this lovely place. Enjoyed visiting Waynesville, eating in Maggie Valley and even swimming at Harrah's. Thank you for allowing our pets. They enjoyed it too.

Beautiful setting, well maintained cabin

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't get enough of the creek. The cabin was great, the area was beautiful but the creek was the biggest draw. Whenever we went outside the sound was so relaxing...and the view of the water cascading down the creek made this place an awesome place to stay. And the information sent in advance about the cabin and the area was top notch. Highly recommended.

Elk Falls Cabin-simply outstanding

  • 5 of 5

This was a return trip to Elk Falls Cabin. The surrounding area is so peaceful and calming. The creek provides for hours of fun for kids while multiple waterfalls sound soothing and can be enjoyed from the rocking chairs or hot tub on the porch. Attractions close by included elk watching, gem mining, scenic Blue Ridge Parkway trip and Main Street Waynesville shopping and dining. The cabin accomodations are fantastic. Very clean and well stocked with everything we needed in working order. Gas fireplace inside, outdoor wood burning fireplace, toys and games for the kids, cable TV and wifi (for those moments when they are needed). With a toddler we appreciated the gates/doors at the stairs (porch and inside stairwell). Overall we were very pleased with our stay and look forward to our next visit.

Owner's Response: I am sorry you felt you needed to leave a 1 star review and not advice me of your concerns before you did. As you can see, we pride ourselves in the reviews that we receive, all of which are 4 and 5 stars. There has never been anything less, until now. I would very much have appreciated the opportunity to correct anything that may have been wrong while you were there. Unfortunately, a cabin on 16 acres of thick woods, as much as we do not want a mouse (not rat) to get into the cabin, with the amount of rain, I am sorry it happened. You could have given me the chance to have Terminix to respond, as they are there monthly for regular treating of the cabin. It is something that could have been taken care of immediately. We take great pride in making sure that our guests are comfortable, happy and enjoy their stay. I am sorry you felt you needed to respond the way you did and not give me the chance to make it right. Maybe the mountains is not where you need to visit, but, the beach or somewhere more crowded and populated.

Beautiful property!

  • 5 of 5

This home was exactly what we were hoping for. The house is laid out perfectly and even has baby gates at the stairs and on the porch. The creek is just beautiful and we loved sitting on the porch and listening to the sound of water rushing by. My 3 year old and dog had a blast playing in the creek and adventuring the property.

I highly recommend taking the 10 mile journey up the road to see the elk! We also saw a mama bear and her cub which was an extra special treat. Also, Lake Junaluska is a great place to walk with small kids. Great little playground here. And the paddleboarding was wonderful! We made lots of great memories on this trip!

Mountains 2018

  • 4 of 5

We loved the property we spent a lot of time outside by the creek. The only problem we had is the upstairs bathroom tub wouldn't hold water to bath the baby. We did have to do some cleaning sweeping, hair in the tubs. My dachshund enjoyed throwing his ball off the side of the mountain and playing in the creek. Thank you for allowing my family to vacation in your home.

Beautiful home for a family getaway

  • 5 of 5

Loved our weekend at this beautiful home is tucked away back off the road. The small creek running down in front of the house was so relaxing and therapeutic.

We enjoyed our children and grandchildren being all together in that lovely setting. We would definitely stay there again in the future.
