Why Chaya Friedman chose Molokai

We love Molokai - the quiet ambiance and beauty of nature. Having wonderful ocean and mountain views is the icing on the cake!

What makes this condo unique

Oceanfront is the place to be! Nothing between you and the ocean but a palm tree. Watch a gorgeous sunrise every morning, and the whales in season. The apartment is sparkling with light - white marble floors reflect. Everything about the condo is luxurious.

The condo was just as advertised. If you seek a quiet getaway away from the business of other islands, this is the place. Stores and restaurants are limited, but you soon find yourself settling into the beauty and quaintness of Molokai. Chaya, the owner, was a delight to deal with and all her promises were fulfilled.

This well priced condo is well sticked with everything you could possibly think of. The owners are perfectly lovely hosts and were delightful to meet. The condo is quiet, has great views of the ocean and whales. We would go back in a heartbeat and hope to soon!

This condo was our own little piece of paradise.

The location was perfect on the perfect island. We like to relax while we explore. On Molokai you keep finding new things and they feel like your very own.

Then we could come home to our oasis and believe that it was the best condo in the complex. And it is a nice complex.

You also have the best landlords ever. They care about your comfort and are available to help. Hospitality and the "friendly island" feel is what they extend. We are grateful.

Such a great vacation.

Lovely spot

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at this lovely condo in Molokai and would definitely return. It's very tastefully and comfortably furnished and decorated, has a very well-stocked kitchen, and a comfortable bed. Very clean, lush towels and bedding, and nice little touches like bath products. Also, the kitchen had some condiments and other food which made it easier on us the first night, since we arrived on a Sunday after the grocery stores had closed. The view is beautiful, lanai a good size, and the grounds around the quiet condo complex are lovely. Nice little swimming pool. About a 20 minute drive into Kaunakakai, the main place to buy groceries and go to a restaurant. (Molokai is not a place go to for restaurants, but this condo is great for preparing meals at home.) It was quite hot and humid (more than usual) and an additional fan would have been nice. While there are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom, they were not adequate, and we kept moving the one tabletop fan from room to room. While the owners provided plenty of info, some of it needs to be updated. For instance, the directions for operating the laptop and the DVD player did not work. We never figured out how to use the laptop but eventually solved the DVD issues. We rode the mules to Kaulapapa -- an adventure, but an uncomfortable ride and I would recommend flying in unless you are young and used to riding horses. Also went to Murphy's Beach (about 20 min away) and Papohaku Beach on the west end, after stopping at the Kite store in Mauna Loa. But most of our time was spent at this lovely condo, reading, cooking, resting and looking at the view.

Holiday Interlude

  • 5 of 5

We spent the last week of 2005 at Ka Hale Ola on Molokai, and it was the loveliest condo we stayed in during our two years in Hawai'i. If you are looking for a break and want to experience the "real" Hawai'i as found only on Moloka'i, this is the place to go. The condo is every bit as lovely as the photos and the view off the lanai was spectacular. We had the daily experience of watching the whales breach in the channel between Moloka'i and Mau'i, as well as spectacular sunrises each morning over Mau'i. No expense was spared in setting up this unit. It is well appointed with new appliances , furniture and linens, and many lovely pieces of local Hawai'ian art and is spotlessly clean. We highly recommend it if you are looking for a restful and quiet place to recharge your batteries.

My husband and i stayed in this unit for a week and this is really what it looks like! Great place - Super clean and everything is new & top of the line! I've rented over a dozen units/houses across the U.S. and Europe and this one might just be the nicest one I've ever rented. Enjoy & Aloha!
