Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-9)
We purchased the cabin in 2003 and used it as a weekend get away from Atlanta until we decided to build a new retirement home in Ellijay. This log sided home was built in 2000.
Owner purchased this Cabin in 2003
Why Owner chose Ellijay
This cabin is roomy, comfortable and feels remote while not being too far from town. It is also off the beaten path of the resort and kids can play out front or in the river without the worries of traffic.
What makes this Cabin unique
Without having to drive anywhere you can fish, hike, jog, canoe, kayak, snooze, read and relax to your hearts content. If that is not enough, soak in the private hot tub or build a fire in the pit by the river and enjoy the view.

House was in a perfect location! Probably the best fishing area for the entire area. Thanks so much!! May see you again one day!!
Nice cabin by the creek
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Weather was perfect and my daughter loved tubing down the river every day.
Beautiful cabin!!! We loved having the view of the river. We really enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings.
Relaxation on the river
This was a fabulous vacation spot! We were right on the river. The owners have a nice setup for a fire pit by the river where you can relax and even do some catch and release trout fishing! My family enjoyed the peace and quiet atmosphere! The house was gorgeous and clean. The beds were comfortable and spacious. The location was great as we were only 30-50 minutes within various other towns (blue ridge, amicalola falls, Dahlonega) and did a good bit of sight seeing.
Just what our family needed
This home is well described, but what the overview can’t tell you is the peacefulness that’s abounds in this cabin. We had all the comforts of home without the responsibilities. Kitchen is well stocked, plenty of linens, lots of games and books and movies. I will strongly encourage renters to not arrive at night. The road is somewhat treacherous and definitely best handled in a tall vehicle with 4wd. We made it a point to arrive back every night before dark, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the fire pit, make s’mores and do some river fishing. We drove around the resort property and viewed all the amenities but only actually used Fish Trap Park. Highly recommend this rental.
We enjoy the sound of the water and the tranquility in the area.
The property is comfortable, clean, with all the supplies you might need, conveniently located close to town, it feels like home away from home. Can't wait to go back.
Bring your tubes and float the creek or fish right in front of the cabin. Antique stores, pub and restaurants nearby in town. Enjoy a fire in the pit by wonderful Mountaintown Creek.
