Rustic! Houseboat feel! Not for babies or children!
This is a very cool spot right on the water that makes you feel like you’re on a house boat. Gorgeous. The biggest issue I had was that the running water was lake water. They provided drinking water but the shower was not satisfying. It’s a walk from the cars to the house which was fine by me but probably not for everyone. The location is about an hour from Acadia. The blueberries were amazing.
Lovely, rustic setting
This was a great location at a great price for our vacation that included exploring Acadia National Park. While exploring in the area we were fortunate enough to find the best lobster rolls we've ever had. The cabin included all the necessities and was comfortable. Yes, it would have been better if the parking was closer to the cabin, if the water from the faucets was potable, and if there was a bit of a sandy beach from which to enter the beautiful lake. Many thanks to Karen for the 'welcome munchies' that were provided.
this is not the Ritz Carlton or a modern cabin
BUT it is fully equipped with all you need. the bead is comfortable. the windows all open, are screened and provide great light.
the real beauty is that it is at the dead end of a dirt road off a dirt road. with the exception of calls of loons (i assume) or other wildlife it is dead silent. you do have neighbors but zero road noise and i never heard a neighbor.
bring a fishing rod.
Perfect relaxing stay
We had a great time at Karen and Marks cabin, was truly quiet. The best time ever with our 2 dogs...will go back for sure😁
Great views nice lady good cooking facilities cabin could do with renovation wiring may not be safe
Quiet and peaceful with absolute water front lovely views, owner is nice, good kitchen with oven and fridge, cabin is in need of attention, the electric wiring may not be safe and the floor is all over the place, tripped a couple of times walking around.parking was difficult for unloading and loading car, would not suit people with mild mobility problems
Peaceful location and relaxing stay. Karen and Mark's cottage was just what our family needed. It was at the end of a long dirt road and it had everything. If you bring enough food, you wouldn't need to leave.
The lake was clean and the house was what We expected of a picturesque Maine lakefront cabin .
