We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The host was very accommodating, and we were well taken care of. It was so nice to stay in such a central location. Being about to walk to the mall and all the museums was such a plus. We were five adults, and though sleeping was a bit tight - the apartment had enough space for us all to relax and enjoy our downtime. The back patio was great, and there are enough different areas in the apartment that we could spread out when needed. I'd stay here again!
We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 teenagers who slept on the couches in the living room. photos are very accurate. Amenities were good (washer/dryer a plus). The location is great and the neigborhood seemed safe. there is a citybike stand right around the corner and we found this to be an excellent way to see all of the DC sites, especially the monuments and mall.
Being a basement apt & very humid weather, it was a bit musty and the AC was very noisy but all in all we had a great stay.
Great location, I felt very safe and the location was central to walk to grocery and restaurants. I wish the owners would stay the night in the apartment so they could see the items that needed to be made a tab better. 1) We had three towels and one washcloth for four adults. I had been told to text if we needed anything, but never got a response. I just washed after each morning shower and each evening shower. they provided laundry soap but it would have been cheaper if we could have had a few more towels. 2) some rooms needed a bit more cleaning. The kitchen was spotless but the bathroom/washer/dryer area smelled of urine. I've stayed in enough student dorms and church camps to know that one can't be a princess!
The night before we were to leave, the upstairs washer overflowed and water entered our bathroom. We called them and they responded quickly and even credited that nights stay since it happened after 11:30am. We did not ask for that so it was very much appreciated.
Overall, I would stay in the apartment again.
My family and I enjoyed our stay. The owner shared great information about the neighborhood to eliminate any guessing about good restaurants or where things were located. It was conveniently located to the convention center and other attractions. In the past we would stay outside of the city and take the metro in; however this stay changed our mind. It was much more convenient to stay in the city . We always felt safe and the neighbors we met were very friendly.
We stayed in the apartment in late March. The location is great and definitely as advertised by the owners. It is a walk from the National Mall, but a couple of times we just walked the distance rather than walking to the train station and then from the train station to the apartment, just easier to walk home. Close to Whole Foods and restaurants near there. Close to bus, circulator bus and metro train. We used Uber several times and never waited more than about 4 minutes (so they are in the area). As for the apartment, it is well appointed. There were 3 of us and the right size for that. There is only one bathroom so consider this, I had kind of missed that fact. We have rented a number of VRBO's around the United States and Hawaii. I just didn't feel it was well set up for cooking but we did ok. No storage containers and garbage bags were not provided. No kitchen towels that we could really identify. Generally, could be a little cleaner when you look in the corners. The bathroom needs help, even my husband agreed with this. It is very small with a large jazucci tub with bad tile on the front. Washer and dryer worked well. Bed was comfortable. Our son (teenager) used the airbed rather than the hideabed (sofa). The living room is a very separate room so turning it into a bedroom worked well for him. Noisy from upstairs in the morning and evening but not too bothersome (except what seemed to be the dishwasher or washing machine at about 10:30pm)
We were very impressed with this apartment. There were 4 in our group: 2 adults and 2 children ages 10 and 11. The apartment was spacious and clean and was in a safe area. The kitchen had everything we need to fix breakfast and dinner each day, and the owner left us directions to a couple of small grocery stores nearby. There were plenty of linens, and the kids said the mattress topper on the sleeper sofa was very comfortable. Having a washer/dryer there was great for mid-week washing. The location was excellent: short walk to a Metro, a DC Circulator stop, and a moderate walk downtown. In addition to the usual tourist places, we also went to the International Spy Museum. It was fun for the kids but even more interesting to the adults! It was within walking distance and was also on the way to the Smithsonians. I would definitely be willing to stay in this apartment again.
