We find ourselves intrigued by the wine country and of the romance and mystique of the wine itself. This is your opportunity to enjoy the entire experience here in the Alexander Valley. From the time you awaken to the spectacular views to the golden sunsets of the area you will find yourself immersed in the wonders of the region. This wonderful 50 acre property is located on the rolling hillsides at the northern most end of the Alexander Valley. This unprecedented 'eastern view' captures many of the sites and other vineyards not usually found in the visual spectrum of the valley.
The home was custom built by its owners to enjoy their vineyards and the wine country. It features 3 comfortable bedrooms, 3 full baths and a living area that brings the outdoors inside, with all its windows and magnificent vistas. The wood burning fireplace adds to the ambiance of this spectacular home and the fully stocked kitchen for the discerning chef. During your visit, the Winemakers at Icaria Creek will personally invite you to a barrel tasting of their award winning wines. Where else can you peel potatoes and view this landscape. Welcome to Icaria Creek.

We started this vineyard in 1989, and it is in full production of Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The total acreage is 50, however only 30 acres is planted in grapes. We are welcoming you as our guests into our Dream Home' that we built and have the opportunity to enjoy many months out of the year. The majority of our grapes are sold to St. Francis Winery in Sonoma County which is well known and respected for its wines. Our winery, Icaria Creek Vineyards is located on the premise and our son, Jeff is the wine maker.
If you want a vacation rental that feels better than home, this is your place. The house is spacious and thoughtfully laid out. It fits beautifully on the hill to take maximum advantage of the terrain and views. The house is fully stocked and nicely furnished for maximum enjoyment. We had full access to the 50 acre property for morning/evening walks and picked a few blackberries down in Icaria creek. The winemaker gave us a private wine tasting (excellent wine) and offers his wines by the bottle or case. I cannot imagine a better place to stay when visiting the wine country.
Loved the views and the home. Didn't have time to schedule a wine tasting, but hope to on our next visit. We enjoyed walking the vineyards and watching the skydivers float down. The house was very comfortable and provided a great vacation venue for my family.
This is just what we wanted and needed to relax and unwind. The house is decorated in a "country style" which we all commented felt like grandmas. We are all in the food industry so the size of the kitchen was a nice surprise. The only downer was the flat top electric stove.. but we managed fine. We were all in love with the open concept, windows and view. Everyday we walked the vineyards and had a great workout from some pretty stiff hills. We were 3 groups all with our own rooms to spread out when needed. The one thing you need to know is it is right next to 101, but facing the other direction which helped. You also get a nice view of the airport which I didn't love at first but when all the parachutes started coming in.. we had a great time watching them land. We all would recommend this home to a group of friends or family.
We love this place. We have stayed multiple times over the past several years. It is the perfect home base for exploring the Russian River, Alexander Valley, and Dry Creek Valley wineries. The view from the deck is just unbelievable. If you get a chance to have the Icaria winery owners Jeff and Helen Smith host a private barrel tasting downstairs you have to do it. They are amazing hosts and the wine is unbeatable. Don't miss this place.
To say we enjoyed our stay would be a gross understatement. It was glorious from beginning to end. We had never been to the West Coast and now can't wait to return. The home was perfect - comfortable and clean with a view that made me keep pinching myself to assure it was real. Mornings on the vineyard were like scenes on a postcard, and the location was an ideal base for exploring vineyards in Alexander Valley, Dry Creek, and even Napa. To top it off, on our last evening we were treated to a private barrel tasting by our host, Jeffrey, who was gracious and patient despite having had a long day. The wine was great and we learned a lot about the area and winemaking. Be sure to cruise 5 minutes down the road to Ferrari Carano Vineyards (spring for the premium tasting), a cave tasting at Bella Vineyards, and Preston Family Vineyards (be sure to try their olives). A visit to Healdsburg is a must as well. I have recommended this place to several others contemplating a trip to CA and will continue to do so. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.
My family spent almost 2 weeks in California and, beyond a doubt, this stay was rated #1 by each of us! The house is absolutely wonderful and set in the middle of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. The house itself exceeded my expectations--the most completely equipped home we have ever rented! It was difficult every day to leave, because sitting on one of the decks with a cup of coffee just taking in the view was so tempting. Sonoma County was amazing and to be able to call this rental "home" for the time we were there was the icing on the cake! Beautiful--we look forward to coming again.
The Cloverdale Airport and Skydiving Center is located in close proximity to the property. We can make special arrangements to pick you up from the airport after you land in your private plane and bring you to Icaria Creek. Enterprise Rental Cars are available with 7 days advanced notice for additional fees.
