Lahaina Roads is an intimate, local, Lahaina-based resort that is over 60% owner-occupied. Completely remodeled, our condo (#308) offers a perfectly relaxing oceanfront home base for enjoying the pleasures of West Maui - Ka'anapali beach, golfing art galleries and historic Lahaina town. Lahaina Roads is one of 2 oceanfront resorts in Lahaina Town. It is a small resort, and by far the most home-like, with lots of owner occupants, in a small residential area of north Lahaina. You can walk most everywhere (Safeway, Ka'anapali beaches, the Cannery Mall) or take the free shopping shuttle all over the west side. In car-intensive Maui, this resort makes it so easy, you might find you almost don't want a car - you could just relax on your lanai and watch the green sea turtle activity until the sun sets lingeringly over Lanai, then stroll down to Aloha Mixed Plate for dinner and listen to the music of the Old Lahaina Luau wafting over from next door.

This is an outstanding condo. Tons of turtles, great sunsets, walking distance to Lahaina Mall and town. The condo is well equipped, has a washer and dryer and AC (but did not need it)

We have been coming to Maui every March for several years and would not stay any place else. Lahaina Roads #308 is a great place

Great Condo

We enjoyed our stay in this condo. It was nicely decorated and clean. The view of the ocean was spectacular. We enjoyed seeing the sunsets in the evening. We got to see some turtles on our last day. We also like the location of the condo as we walked to Old Lahaina several times (under 2 miles) and to the Lahaina Luau (a ten minute walk).

The location was right on the ocean, but quite a distance from the old part of Lahaina. The condo was very dated, with small things in need of repair. It was clean and had most everything you would require.

Owner's Response: Wow, this review feels harsh! I'm sorry she was unhappy; she never said anything. I have 61 - 5 star reviews, and now this one 3 star review. It's is shocking and disappointing to me. Yes, a knob fell off a light switch and also the toaster - still functional for her, but yes, the knobs both fell off. I have fixed that. The condo itself was completely remodeled in 2005, with all wood cabinets, solid surface counters and nice halogen light fixtures. More recently, I installed new carpet in the bedroom, and also have painted the condo at least once. I have replaced several appliances (fridge and stove) in the intervening years as well and of course, swapped out the tube TVs for flat screens in the living and bedrooms. I am constantly replacing or reupholstering the furniture. So I don't think that the apartment is 'very dated', but yes, it is lighter in color (with blonde cabinets and counters) than the dark cabinets and granite counters that seem to be so common today. Also, I would say the banyan tree, the center of old Lahaina town, is 1 mile away. But, my 3 favorite restaurants are one block away, and Safeway, Longs Drugs and the Cannery Mall are also just one block away. I love the convenience of that! No other condo complex in the town of Lahaina offers that - an amazing oceanfront location with great dining and easy-peasy shopping one block away.

Great place to stay

The condo has everything we needed, many kitchen appliances and essentials. We especially liked having the washer and dryer.

The air conditioning makes it comfortable at all times. While chatting with some other guests at the pool many units do not have a/c. The condo grounds are well maintained, clean and comfortable.

The manager is helpful and friendly.

The location is ideal, a short walk to the Cannery Mall "Safeway grocery store and ABC store". We highly recommended the Aloha Mixed Plate, delicious breakfast and lunch and drink specials. We enjoyed walking every day, about a mile into beautiful Lahaina. And were fortunate to enjoy "second Friday night party". Every day we loved sitting on the lanai, watching the sea turtles, and the magnificent sunrises and sunsets.

Jan, the owner made everything very easy.

This is our second time to stay at this fabulous location, and we are looking forward to our next visit !

Nicely located in historic Lahaina where you can walk most everywhere -Safeway, ABC Store, the Cannery Mall , local kine eateries, makes it easy to explore on foot or just stay put - take a dip in the pool or relax on the lanai and enjoy the beautiful views of Maui. Jan is the best; very attentive, informative, accommodating, & has graciously supplied her lovely condo with everything one could need for a wonderful visit. Also -hop in the car to visit nearby beautiful beaches to swim & snorkel , go sightseeing, farmer's markets, and other fun things to do while on the island. Mahalo Jan!

For a perfect, relaxing vacation!

Lahaina Roads location and amenities exceeded our expectations. The building is impecably maintained and the pool is fully maintained daily. Watching the whales and sea turtles from the lanai with morning coffee is as good as it gets. Two shopping centres are located within a 15 minute easy walk and Safeway (closest) is a 5 minute walk and open 24 hours. A vehicle is required to take advantage of all the island offers. A 25 - 30 minute enjoyable flat walk will take you down to quaint old Lahaina, a wonderful experiance. The unit is well equipped and with ac very comfortable. We are excited to be returning next year!

If you cancel within 60 days of your arrival date (or 120 days if it’s a holiday season reservation), the refund is based on my ability to fill your reserved dates. I will refund you as many of your reserved dates as I am able to fill at the rate I am able to negotiate, minus the fee.
