Whether your perfect vacation includes making sandcastles or taking morning walks or sunset strolls on a white sandy beach, swimming and frolicking in the Atlantic, golfing at Shipyard's 27 holes, playing tennis at a world-class facility, relaxing at the pristine Greens' private pool, or doing nothing...experience a piece of paradise just steps from our door, located within the beauty and serenity of a gated beach community.
As seasoned vacation property owners since 1980, we know what guests want and expect so they can enjoy a worry-free vacation. Providing quality, cleanliness, and comfort are important to us, and to that end we offer our guests an updated, well maintained, and thoughtfully decorated and appointed 'home away from home'. Our home has undergone a complete top to bottom remodel featuring all bathrooms with new fixtures, tile, vanities, and granite countertops, a lovely new kitchen with all new large and small appliances, three flat screen TV's, wireless internet, new paint throughout, and updated furnishings. Aside from the departure cleaning, twice a year all hard and soft surfaces are steam cleaned, walls and surrounds washed, and each item, large and small, inspected and, if need be, repaired or replaced. As an added assurance, our guests have the support of a contact on the island 24/7 should an unforeseen occasion arise.
As soon as you open the door, the pride we take in our home will be apparent. Dramatically redesigned, the first floor features a bright and open kitchen. The walls have been removed, eliminating the galley kitchen and creating a custom design, new to The Greens. This has been enhanced with an island and complemented by new cabinets, appliances, and granite countertops. An adjoining breakfast nook with slider welcomes the morning sun.
The open floor plan flows nicely from the kitchen into the great room with a dining table and seating for six, which coordinates with a queen sleep sofa and matching love seat, recliner, and additional seating. Double sliders open to the deck and golf course just beyond to make this area bright and scenic. This floor also features an attractive, fully renovated half-bath. A new porcelain tile floor accentuates the aesthetics throughout this level.
The second floor has two decorator enhanced bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. New in 2012, the master bathroom features a distinctive, Travertine tiled, glass-enclosed walk-in shower, while the guest bathroom features a traditional bath enhanced with complementary Italian porcelain tile. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, oversized chair, walk-in closet, flat screen TV and DVD, while the guestroom has twin beds with new mattresses, double closets, flat screen TV and DVD. Located on the same level is the laundry area with full size washer and dryer .
The deck overlooks the 7th tee at Shipyard Golf and the scenic, paved walking/jogging/biking path which winds through miles of lush terrain. Just steps to the pool, minutes from the ocean, and across from the Van der Meer Tennis Resort, our villa is perfectly situated within The Greens and within Shipyard.

One unexpected visitor is featured in our final website picture. Perched on our entrance light for an entire day during our first renovation, an Eastern Screech Owl sat unfazed by all the contractor activity and curious onlookers.

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! We especially enjoyed the beautiful kitchen and updated shower. Enjoyed the location and being able to ride the bikes to the beach every day. This was our first vacation in Hilton Head and won't be our last - we had a wonderful time.
We had the most wonderful time at The Greens! As you drive through Shipyard and approach the condo, you feel like you truly have found paradise!! Luscious foliage envelopes you as you pass by ponds, a golf course ,and bike trails. Everything is right there at your fingertips! Not to mention, it is only a minute walk to a private pool and a quick 3 minute walk to a beautiful ocean beach!! The condo itself is beautifully appointed ,well stocked, and immaculate. We will be back, but the next time for a longer stay!!
My wife, 4 year old twins, and I had such a great week in this condo! It was so close to the beach, bike trails and all Hilton Head has to offer. The amenities inside the condo are top notch as well! Plenty of room for everything and a great deck on the back to sit and relax.
Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a great place to stay!
This place is a home away (from)! 90 year old Mom parked herself on the breezy back deck and read John Grisham: after finishing her own, she borrowed another Grisham book from the owner's stash: how convenient! We had a beautiful vista of the golf course and people biking by. Accommodations left nothing to the imagination, including a well stocked kitchen and amazing showers (awww!). Everything has been updated with decor fit for a primary residence! Many decorator touches! So close to the beach, tennis. We really enjoyed biking on the numerous paths adjoining the property.
We are hoping to book again very soon, and would think of going nowhere but to this unit! Thank You!
Nicely furnished, impeccably clean, peaceful, quiet, with view of the golf course and just a walk away from the beach it is a dream vacation for us each time we come. We are a couple from Germany and love to stay with Ann and Steve, because they are such lovely hosts. Besides, let's not forget shopping and the many different restaurants with fine southern cooking. Just come and love it!
Well … let’s see now? We go, we stay, we come back. Simple. Three times now and looking forward to number FOUR !!! And, if anyone has any doubts, yes, Steve and Ann are great owners, the best.
We have rented many different units in the Greens over the years. This property is one of the nicest renovated units you can find. It is beautifully appointed and maintained meticulously. The golf fairway views are relaxing and its proximity to the beach is great for walkers. It is obvious that the management company and cleaning service are extremely competent. When we arrived, the unit could have passed the white glove test and everything was in its place. Rental arrangements with owner and management company are fast and simple.
Walk or jog along the beach or miles of lush, shaded bike paths, or just check out the alligators sunbathing. Enjoy day trips to Beaufort, Savannah, or Charleston. . . . . . . . . FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: 1. How far is 199 Greens from the beach? Our villa is two-tenths of a mile from the beach, a leisurely 5-minute walk. 2. Do you have High Speed internet? Yes, High Speed internet is provided through a broadband (cable) connection that has wireless access. 3. Do you have a barbeque grill? Yes. We provide a charcoal grill.

Accepted methods of payment include credit card, bank transfer, and check. There are NO additional fees for use of credit card. A 50% deposit is required to confirm a reservation with the balance due 14 days prior to arrival.
