'Been renting here for years: It only gets better!
We have been coming back here for vacation rentals since the 1990's. There is no better place for a quintessential mountain retreat, (access to wilderness trails just below the deck and just up the hill, unobstructed views over Arapahoe National Forest, moose and fox and bear viewing off the patio deck, quiet and still surroundings) but with easy access to Summit County's many amenities only a few miles into town, and the on site 'luxury' of a clubhouse with pool, sauna and game room.
This is a pristine, immaculately kept condo replete with everything needed for 4 season comfort and owners who continue to update and improve the accomodation. They also provide unlimited firewood and a remarkably realistic "fire" DVD for those who don't want to hassle with building one!
The confirmation packet is very thorough and filled with helpful information such as: best parking strategy for snow storms, high altitude cooking tips, county-wide free shuttle bus service info., and multiple ways to reach the owners and other support people 24/7 if any assistance is needed.
This mountain retreat is a great value and a gem in any season! We have already booked our next trip there!
Comfortable & Convenient
Snowscape was very comfortable and super convenient for our recent ski trip. Loved not having to buy basic paper products - that was nice. The view was spectacular! Thanks for allowing us to stay at your mountain home! I'd definitely book again.
Excellent in every regard.
We found Snowscape to be a very solid 5 STAR rental for our family of 4. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon to a spotless unit complete with a “info basket” with ski maps, local info and even a discount club card for the local grocery store (in 50+ VRBO/AirBnb rentals, we’d NEVER seen this- great idea). The unit is very spacious, and an open floor plan. Kitchen near the entryway, then big dining table, then living room/fireplace,then outdoor patio with the spectacular views. Appliances are good, and the range is a JennAire, which, if you’re unfamiliar, has a nice downdraft exhaust fan that does a great job at getting the stink out of the air when cooking. There’s also a full-size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, waffle iron(!), and coffee maker. Most impressive is how much cooking and serving ware is included- you can cook a multi course meal for 10 people no problem, and have all the utensils at hand that you’ll need. NOTHING in a rental annoys me more than finding that the owner has gone to IKEA and bought the el cheapo “starter kitchen set” and thinks that’s enough for anyone to cook and serve with. This place has EVERYTHING, including VERY sharp good quality knives (yes, plural...KNIVES- paring, boning, chefs...). There’s also a good assortment of basic spices, coffee filters, and trash bags provided.
The master bedroom is also spacious, with a large closet, a dresser, and a queen size bed. The bathroom uses the European arrangement of a separate vanity/sink, then toilet and shower in a separate room with a door. Convenient when one person is on the toilet and the other wants to brush their teeth. The tub and toilet are uneventful, although there seemed to be UNLIMITED hot water- BIG plus. The provided toilet paper was also very high quality, a rarity in rentals.
The clubhouse was a pleasant surprise, as we have been to many that are downtrodden and badly maintained. THIS place was great. Big pool with a realistic deeper end at 5 1/2’, well-heated, and low-chlorinated. Hot tub was a workable 105 degrees and very clean. The sauna is GREAT and underutilized. Be sure to turn the sauna timer on the activate the heat coils for about 15 minutes before you enter, and it’ll be toasty. There are also Q=4 washers/dryers (big Speed Queen Commercial units) in the clubhouse, $1.75 per load each.
As is I’m sure obvious, we were very happy with the property. Great value, great location (10 min to Copper Mtn, 15 to Loveland), and great amenities.
Excellent view and quiet
We have enjoyed the place and miss the excellent view. The unit was clean and well equipped. Everything in the unit worked with no issues. Looking forward to coming back for next ski season.
Beautiful View, Great Stay!
One of the most beautiful views that I have had the honor of waking up to everything morning for my stay! Great hiking trails right outside as well!! I would 100% recommend this stay to anyone! The inside decore was very warm and cozy! Thank you for everything to make our stay unforgettable!!
Great location for a week long ski trip
We had a great week skiing and staying in this rental property. After a long and exhausting day skiing nothing is better than a hot shower. The property has fantastic hot water as after 3-4 showers the hot water never ran out. Liz and Margaret were very helpful and the property was well stocked with the essentials.
Silverthorne is part of famous Summit County Colorado. Snowscape condos in the Wildernest area offers a great location and a break from the expensive on-site resort pricing. You will love being located on the edge of Arapahoe National Forest and steps away from great hiking trails...yet also only a few moments from the all the amenities and activities of Summit County. Summertime brings festivals and free concerts and Farmer's Markets, biking, hiking, fishing, golfing, sailing, and much more. Winter fun at Keystone, Copper, Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin is endless.
