About Pam Absher

We are a family of three, all native Californians. Pam grew up in Redondo Beach and is an insurance adjuster. Bill is an aerospace engineer and the resident handy man. We are active in our Church. We love to travel and enjoy staying in bed and breakfasts throughout the United States.

Pam Absher purchased this cottage in 1988

Why Pam Absher chose Redondo Beach

Our cottage was our family room prior to remodeling. It provided peace and quiet during the evenings. We love the thought of owning a Bed and Breakfast. We have converted our former family room into an inviting guest cottage.

What makes this cottage unique

Our location allows us to live at the beach, yet be close enough to drive to the many offerings in Los Angeles and Orange County, Disneyland/California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Staples Center, Dodger Stadium, Downtown Los Angeles, Venice, Santa Monica, Hollywood, Long Beach Aquarium, Los Angeles Zoo, and the Getty Center.

Pam and Bill are very nice hosts and can tell you everything there is to do as a visitor. This is a great location with a very comfortable accommodation. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet, close to the beach and reasonable restaurants. We would definately return.

Fabulous Trip!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had the enormous pleasure of staying at Pam & Bill’s Cottage in the Garden at the end of July. Thanks to Pam & Bill we had the most amazing holiday! We couldn’t have loved the cottage anymore and their recommendations and assistance were invaluable. Their bikes were great, especially having locks & helmets. My husband and I rode along the strand almost every day and so enjoyed a relaxing hot tub on our return. Pam & Bill are fantastic and because of their hospitality, we feel like we have a home in L.A. Thanks again Pam & Bill for everything and we look extremely forward to returning!

Wonderful retreat !

  • 5 of 5

This was my second time staying here. Pam and her husband are wonderful hosts. Loved every minute of my stay.

The jacuzzi at night was a welcome respite, complete with a glass of wine to relax. Listened to the fountain outside my window which lulled me to sleep every night! Planning another stay soon!

Perfect Cottage in the Garden, Great Location, Quiet and Romantic!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a wonderful stay while we visiting family and seeing the sights. The location is very convenient to the beaches, restaurants and we loved the residential neighborhood. Pam welcomed us, gave us good ideas about the area, then we were allowed to enjoy the cottage on our own. Every need had been anticipated in the cottage. We were delighted to enjoy the rocker and recliner! The cottage is one room but the way it is designed it feels larger and when you add the lovely private garden, it was quite spacious. The little garden is a delight! We enjoyed coffee in the morning while watching the squirrels scamper and listening to the small water feature. It was also great for a glass of wine in the evening. We aren't usually spa fans but we made good use of the whirlpool a couple of times and it was heavenly. Thanks Pam and Bill for the mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker which helped us feel at home! Ask Pam about the best way to get to the beach on bikes without the hills. We loved biking on the strand! Reserve space at Ronald Reagan Presidential Library; it is amazing. We enjoyed a picnic on the grounds which are beautiful. HT Grill had excellent sea bass, great service and patio dining. Wonderful experience. Looking forward to returning soon.
