Can"t Go Wrong With This One

  • 5 of 5

I booked Laurens Street a year in advance of the Masters. So glad I did!! Perfect location, Really beautiful apartment, friendly historic small southern town. Restaurants, night life, literally across the street. If you forget your book, don"t worry, plenty of great titles on the bookshelves. Kitchen has everything you need. Need any advice about the area, just ask Russell. Came down for golf, but so impressed with the area I plan to return and explore. Might want to book this one well in advance.

My family and I LOVED this cute town house. 2 Teenage boys and their parents hung out here while visiting Aiken for a family reunion. It is a great place to shop downtown and easy walking everywhere. I checked my calendar to see if I could come back again in April..but nope, can't do it! Shucks!

We spend mornings sipping coffee on the balony and evenings shifting through the awesome bookcases.

If I could have changed one thing about this rental, it would have been to have another bath, even a half bath.,

We chose to stay at Janice and Russels as we searched for a home in Aiken. On arrival I said to my husband "the home we buy has to give me the same feeling that I have right now!" We bought a lovely historic Cottage near Downtown. The owners were very kind to us as we had several last minute changes to our schedule. We loved all the books and although I could not read them due to the busy schedule, I did browse and wrote down some titles. It was so convenient to the restaurants and weafter driving all day we loved having a meal and then walking around town and then walking home.

Absolutely Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I booked this apartment for the week of our wedding since we were getting married right across the street at The Aiken Center for the Arts. It was absolutely perfect!! We could not have asked for better accommodations! Since my family lives in Aiken we visit a lot, and I can easily say that this is the best place we have ever stayed. The owners have thought of everything and have gone out of their way to make this the ideal apartment. The entire place is beautifully decorated, the kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans/dishes/etc., the bathroom is huge and comes with more towels than you could ever need. Staying here was easy and enjoyable! I know my husband and I will be back!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!

Loved Aiken and our Apartment !

  • 5 of 5

We came into Aiken for a few days of golf and to attend a practice round at The Masters. 4 of us stayed at this great apartment for 4 nights. Its even nicer than the pictures - lots of room - everything you need is there and location is perfect for walking around to restaurants and getting a cocktail. Very close to Aiken Golf Club which was a great course to play... we also played the River Golf Club. The Casa Bella Italian restaurant was FANTASTIC, highly recommend. I can't say enough positive things about our accommodation - we knew it was going to be was better than that!

Car: not necessary

Aiken, 'a place for a splendid time to be had' was the town's reputation a century ago and still reigns true today! Historically, Aiken was a retreat for Charlestonians escaping malaria but also became a popular Winter Colony attracting people from the north especially during their harsh winter months.

Aiken became known as a sports haven as wealthy horse enthusiasts brought their animals for pleasure and training building grandiose cottages and stables that survive today. Aiken remains a great escape offering a rich heritage, beautiful tree lined streets, charm, hospitality and gracious living.
