|Minimum Stay||2 - 7 nights|
Defined by woodland seclusion and the natural beauty of its setting, this mountain retreat is an escape from the madding world. Multiple sliding doors and tall windows invite the outside in; a broad, wraparound deck provides plenty of outdoor living space. The recently renovated kitchen adjoins a screened porch; a wood-burning stove with stone hearth in the spacious common living area is the gathering spot on chilly evenings. In addition to two bedrooms and a full bath on the main level, the second-floor loft—accessed via a spiral staircase—has two more bedrooms and a second full bath

Cindy Ramsay is both a realtor & mortgage banker in her work life. This home has been in her family for 30 some years. She remembers going there every summer learning to swim & play tennis. She & her family still use the house themselves from time to time.
Cindy Ramsay purchased this house in 1975
My mother originally chose this house as something different than the beach. She felt it had alot more activities to offer in the private setting of a gated community. We would bring all of our school friends up to the mountain house & teach them to swim, dive, ski & snowmobile. We have very fond memories of this house :)
The feeling of being in the middle of the woods yet still having the safety of a gated community is one of the unique features of this house. The house is perched high on a cliff with 3 sliding glass doors overlooking the view. The house is far away from the street so there is extreme privacy.
Cindy Thank You So Much for all you've done for us.
The house was really magic. Especially at night , as if you look from the bottom of the hill and see it all lighten up on top & hidden in the woods (looks like castle) !!! It is really magic.
Inside was nice and clean . The brand new kitchen and all the kitchen ware came in handy!
The fireplace made it nice and warm. The location of the house is also perfect..
About 3 minutes drive from the main community gate, 5 minutes walk to recreational center.
All the grocery , food & pharmacy shopping is just outside the main community gate as well.
We had a lot of fun at Ski Big Bear @ Masthope Mountain community , which is only 25 minutes drive from Hemlock Farms(ask Cindy for directions). Ski Big Bear has a great ski trails, brand new lodge, the rental equipment is brand new.
Overall the weekend was great.
Looking forward to coming back there in the summer.
Also wanted to mention that it was really easy to deal with Cindy. She has great communication skils.
She was always there for us when we needed her.
Beautiful house!! Nothing wrong with it. The property was on a hill, so when you look out on the deck, you can see a lot of the other houses and the view was incredible!! Could not have picked a better house!! Cindy is the nicest women, and would book with her again in a heartbeat. What more could you ask for; fire place, brand new kitchen, beautiful view, walking distances of a lake. Best weekend I've had in a while.
We enjoyed our recent stay. The home was clean, comfortable, and very accommodating. Hemlock Farms offers so many recreational activities in a pleasant wooded setting. The owner is wonderful to work with and very responsive. We look forward to coming for another summer visit!
BLOOD was on the drapes in a downstairs and upstairs bedrooms! The furnishings left a lot to be desired, and current condition of same were clearly not reflected in the online photos (in my opinion). They were dilapidated throughout. There were huge chips in the veneer of the bedroom furniture on the main level. A cushion on a small stool in that room too filthy to sit on! Toppers on the dressers were old and needed a cleaning. The arms of a living room couch had holes on both sides. The couch itself seemed to be in need of a cleaning! When I lifted the runner off the dining room table to clean it, it was a mess!
The beds were supposed to have clean sheets when we arrived, and did not. We washed the sheets that were on the bed, put them back on, and had to wash the sheets again when we left. You will have to bring firewood up from under the deck, and when it is frozen, that is not easy.
The owner insisted on having the full rental amt months before we were to arrive. Once we got there, I saw why. We had to leave the rental property early because we couldn't get any sleep with the flying squirrels. We asked Cindy to just refund one day's rental fee, and she refused too! I would never stay at this home again!! We were exhausted from our vacation there, and really had looked forward to the brief break in our otherwise hectic lives!! Renters BEWARE!!!
This house was the perfect getaway for our ski trip. The house is exactly as described, well stocked, comfortable and accommodating. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. The house easily slept 10 of us and had everything we needed. Close to several ski mountains and other outdoor activities. A+ and would definitely rent again!
We had an awesome time at this property. The house is clean and well stocked. We loved the big deck as well as the fire-pit outside. The kitchen is great and recently updated, and it had everything we needed for our stay.
We also enjoyed alot of activities that the community had to offer. The clubhouse is very close to the house, we even walked there.
Overall, a great stay and we really enjoyed dealing with the owner, who was very helpful pre-stay as well as during our stay at the property.
