5 plus stars

  • 5 of 5

How can you not give this place 5 stars? The house was clean and updated, and had that perfect beach feel. Close to shops and restaurants, the location was awesome. Wake up every morning enjoy coffee on the screened in deck, and watch dolphins and pelicans in the water. One of the restaurants will even come get you in their golf cart and bring you home. We found dozens of sharks teeth just by sitting and letting the waves come in around us. The bed was very comfortable, shower was large, and the kitchen was bright and modern.

Just steps from the beach. Quiet location. I cant say enough how much my wife and I enjoyed our time there. We didn't want to leave...... and we want to come back.

relaxed and rested

  • 5 of 5

We are a married couple who run two businesses with a child in college and one in high school. Not easy to get all four of us together for any length of time. This was perfect.

The screened in porch faces the ocean for a way to get away from the sun yet still feel like you are on the beach. We took our morning coffee and breakfast there and spent many nights just talking and listening to the ocean. Plenty of great places for lunch and dinner within even walking distance. Great place for walks on the pleasant surrounding streets. Close to Sarasota for the Marie Selby Botanical Garden and the Mote Aquirium. Very clean condo with wonderful view and quaint kitchen. We are back in Chicago but feel rejuvinated by the warm air and rest. (Be ready to leave by the checkout time, cleaning staff is there promply at 10:00 a.m.)

Nothing between you and the beach

  • 5 of 5

We vacationed here in Nov/Dec of 2017. Immediately after that our lives got really hectic and we weren’t able to post a review right away. Our wonderful stay at Manasota Key allowed us to breeze through the craziness because we were so relaxed and refreshed.

We stayed in the upstairs portion of the house. It was perfect for our family of three. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds and furniture were comfortable, the view of the Gulf was spectacular, and the kitchen was nicely appointed with everything we needed to make meals. We enjoyed many family game nights around the kitchen table.

The covered porch was perfect for morning coffee while watching the seabirds and dolphins. It was also great for enjoying a beverage in the evening after the sun had gone down.

We enjoyed meeting the other tenets and getting to know them and the neighbors during our stay. Watching the sunset with others is a must, particularly when the neighbor blows the conch to announce the sunset.

We swam every day, sometimes with dolphins, even though the water was a little chilly for this Florida family (it was Nov and Dec). We found over 300 shark teeth in one week along the beach and in the water just outside the beach house and up at Stump Pass Park. We rented a sea kayak and traveled by it to Stump Pass so we could have our own secluded portion of beach to comb for shells and teeth. We also enjoyed the nature trail at the park (take bug spray). We rode our bicycles all over Manasota Key.

We found the local restaurants to be good but expensive. Our favorite was Farlows on the Water in Englewood. We enjoyed going to the grocery and buying food to make ourselves in the nicely stocked kitchen.

The on-site laundry room was convenient, but the machines took forever to do a load of wash. Also, the washer only takes HD detergent. But we were still blessed to have them. We also really appreciated the coded, keyless entry on the beach house door. No need to carry around a key that could easily be lost. The owners have thoughtfully considered so many things.

Overall, this beach house and Manasota Key in general were wonderful. The laid back atmosphere of the island and the comfort and location of the beach house made our vacation incredible. We will return to enjoy it all again.

What a gem!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the beach house with our adult children and have a wonderful time. We loved being steps from the sand beach, enjoyed searching for shark teeth & walking to Stump Pass Park and exploring. We stayed in unit one on the upper level which had a full kitchen, a screened in porch with views of the ocean where we spent most of our time, a spacious living space and 2 nice sized bedrooms. I would recommend this property to anyone.
