Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)
IF THIS UNIT IS RENTED, PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT OUR OTHER, ALMOST IDENTICAL CONDO NEXT DOOR! (VRBO #975185). We have been told by our guests that our 'Home Away From Home' is most comfortable and welcoming (please read our reviews). This is not your typical condo - pride of ownership can been seen throughout. The decor is French Country with a bit of Rustic Mountain thrown in. We have new living room furniture and 2 new flat screen TVs for your enjoyment.
Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, with the master bath having 2 sinks. Both bedrooms also have queen sized beds with twin mattresses tucked underneath for additional guests (our children often bring friends to share in a fun week or weekend, so we need extra beds). We also have a comfortable pull-out couch in the living room, which gives us total bed space for 8 guests.
Ours is a 1st Floor Condo (no stairs involved!), but the private balcony off the living room is elevated, so you feel like you are in a tree house when sitting outside. We often have many visiting hummingbirds, and sometimes a friendly fox (which one guest named 'Socks') comes around for a visit. Another special feature is the dining area window (we have an end unit) which looks out over a perfect sledding run - our kids call it 'the luge' - we keep sleds in the closet for our kids' and guests' enjoyment.
The Beaver Village Complex has the perfect Winter Park location. There is both a free Winter Park shuttle bus and a free private Beaver Village shuttle bus that picks you up right outside our unit and takes you the 1.5 miles to the Winter Park Ski Area base, as well as to the towns of Winter Park (which begins only 2 blocks from our condo - a very short walk) and Fraser (where the large Safeway grocery store is located). Although we are very centrally located, we are secluded in the woods among Aspen and Pine trees that have been beautifully preserved and protected. The clubhouse has a large indoor pool, three hot tubs and a sauna - all perfect for Apres ski fun - and no waiting for hot tub space! We are also within about 45 minutes of Rocky Mountain National Park, Hot Sulphur Springs, Grand Lake and Lake Granby.
Some things we enjoy while staying at our condo include (in no particular order): great restaurants (Hernando's Pizza, Deno's, Pepe Osaka's, and Fontenot's Cajun are some favorites, but there is everything - fine dining to McDonald's to sushi!), Fraser Tubing Hill (with a lift, so you don't have to walk up!), a soak and massage at the Hot Sulphur Springs (Winter Park itself has great massage artists too who will give you a massage at our condo), bowling, ATV rentals in Grand Lake, strolling the Boardwalk in Grand lake, and renting a paddle boat in Grand Lake (just make a day of it at The Lake!), watching the Elk herds in Rocky Mountain National Park, enjoying one of the many free music and art festivals in Winter Park (call WP for a schedule), playing golf at Pole Creek (voted the best public course in Colorado), using the playground and skateboard park at Hideaway Park just a few blocks away - the list really doesn't end. There is just so much to do, enjoy and appreciate in Winter Park and the surrounding areas that it's impossible to give a comprehensive list our favorite activities.

About Theresa Johnson
Soon after getting married in January of 1985, we moved to Denver from Kentucky, and found our forever home (our forever home LOCATION that is - we've moved into a few different homes in Denver). We love living near the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Dave is an ophthalmologist specializing in retina, who enjoys playing guitar and golf. Theresa is a jack of all trades who presently is a property manager. Theresa enjoys remodeling homes, gardening, and reading. We have both always appreciated being able to raise our two daughters (now in their 20's) here in Colorado.
Theresa Johnson purchased this Condo in 2000
Why Theresa Johnson chose Winter Park
We started going to Winter Park and staying in the Beaver Village condominiums in 1985 as a friend of ours owned a unit at that time. Although we've stayed at every ski resort in Colorado since then, Winter Park has always been our favorite. We love its close proximity to Denver (no Eisenhower Tunnel to go through!), 2 amazing ski mountains, and more "laid back" feel. So it was a no-brainer in 2000 when we decided to purchase a mountain retreat to buy a Beaver Village property. We've enjoyed it so much in fact, we bought the condo next door last Spring. We've been very happy to share our condos with guests the past few years, and appreciate all the super nice people who have stayed there.

Great Winter Park condo
The place was sparkly clean. It's an older property but well kept. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked. My son and I went up for one night to ski. Nice bowl of welcoming jolly ranchers on the table which my 15 year old loved! It was just a half mile from the Old Town shops and about 4 miles to the resort. The owner answered the phone right away when I called with a question about the lockbox. Roomy enough for the two of us. We would stay again.
Comfortable and convenient
We stayed here for a long weekend. The condo is the perfect size for our family of three. The bedrooms are spacious, each with its own bathroom, which is a big plus. The kitchen is completely adequate for preparing evening meals with lots of pots, pans and dishes. We like the bus to the ski area and use it every time we stay at Beaver Village. So convenient to leave the skis in the car and just pick them up on the way to the bus stop right in the parking lot. The drivers are punctual and very friendly and it’s great to get dropped off right at the base. Access and arrangements were very simple and easy to manage. Thanks so much! We happily stay here again!
Theresa was easy to work with.
It was a nice surprise to see full size shampoo/conditioner and Poo-pouri in the bathrooms if needed, hand soap at every sink, a nicely stocked kitchen and a basket of snacks and candy when we arrived.
The location is a short drive from Winter Park Ski Resort and is a short walk to town. Safeway is a short drive. Though 2 busses serve the slopes and 1 will continue on to take you to town.
The laundry and hot tubs and pool are located in the front office. The office staff is VERY nice! They were able to make change for us and the laundry room also sells soap.
The outdoor view is awesome!
Getting the puzzle done in a week proved challenging with so many things to do.
We recommend the Grand Adventures Continental Divide guided snowmobile trip- Aubre was our guide. Also, breakfast at Carver’s. Pizza at Hernando’s - get there at 4 when they open!
Highly recommend this location.
Really enjoyed our stay in Winter Park! If we had any issues, Theresa was there to help. Great 2 bedroom condo between downtown Winter Park and the WP resort. Love this bottom floor condo.
Perfect, cozy, clean & full of basic essentials!
Great weekend getaway condo. Peaceful, quiet & well kept condo & grounds. The hot tub & sauna were appreciated as well. Looking forward to our next visit ☺
Very clean and cozy. There was plenty of room for all the kids. And they loved the pool!
