About Lindsey Horenblas
My wife and I enjoy the culture of Mexico and the friendliness and amicability of the people. The climate in San Miguel welcomes us 12 months a year.
Lindsey Horenblas purchased this House in 2003
Why Lindsey Horenblas chose Zona Centro
Our home is located in the most beautiful and well preserved colonial town in Mexico. We are within walking distance of all the points of interest and yet enjoy the peace and quiet of our own sanctuary.
What makes this House unique
Our home is in El Centro. We are a short walk to all of the important historic and cultural landmarks of San Miguel and walking distance to the local markets that we share with the local people. We are only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the restaurants or shops that we want to visit but we are far enough from the very center to enjoy peace and tranquility in our home.

The house is beautiful.
No smoke alarms that we could see. No instructions or what to do in case of an emergency, the stove blew up Saturday almost seriously injuring me, the electrical breakers blew Sunday morning. The owner says he won’t give me deposit back that the stove blowing up was my fault. Not sure that is true. I have sent him and email explaining my views suggesting we split the deposit and he hasn’t answered me.
This house was perfect!
We loved our stay at Casa Pila Seca. The property is well located close to center. We walked everywhere. The house is well maintained and managed. Conchita is a wonderful housekeeper and an amazing cook. The only drawback is the front bedroom on the street is noisy so bring ear plugs. We're coming back.
San Miguel at its best
What an amazing home in the middle of the hustle and bustle!! Just an easy 7 minute walk to the center square we're all the activity and fiestas we're going on. The house was impecable and clean.. perfect communication with the owners and Concepcion the house keeper made sure we had everything we needed.
Lovely property, people and town. 2 rooftop terraces with amazing views and 2 outdoor courtyards! True to photos, actually even better in person. Spacious for our party of 8 ages 12 to 70. Close to everything. Very clean. Owner Lindsey was an excellent communicator, all details were smooth and Concepcion (also goes by Conchita) spoiled us, was so efficient, and her cooking is excellent. A bed frame broke while we were sitting on bed and she had it repaired before I could blink. Highly recommend. Hard to find a negative but some considerations: not a great choice if steps are difficult for you. Bedrooms may be too warm in May/June for people accustomed to A/C or cool climates. Would need to watch little ones around big, low bedroom windows. For us it was all we had hoped and more.
a slice of paradise in a beautiful city
Six of us went to San Miguel specifically for the Day of the Dead celebration. This is our fourth trip to SMA and perhaps the best all because of this beautiful casa! Each couple had there private bedroom and bath with several outside seating areas to enjoy the fresh air and a cold cerveza. The house is super comfortable and perfectly located in San Miguel so walking almost everywhere is easy. Historical and breathtaking architecture is everywhere as well as superb restaurants so you won't be bored or go hungry. Although the house comes with a cook/maid who takes care of all your wishes, makes great breakfast and dinners (if you prefer to eat in) and caters to your every whim! She does all the shopping and you'll want to take her home with you.....she's the best! Grab the local walking and restaurant publication and hit the galleries, shops, mercados, and restaurants. You will be extremely happy that you chose this San Miguel home in this historic and beautiful city. If you have time, head to Guanajuato and Queterro for more excellent places to see and enjoy. BTW the property owner is a delight to work with!!
Gorgeous house, wonderful stay
Our group had a fabulous time staying in this house. It's in a great location, is well equipped, and offers a lot of space for people to gather together or spread out on their own. One of the reasons we chose this house was for the option to have the housekeeper cook some meals for us, and that was a highlight. She made enchiladas verdes, chicken mole, and chiles rellenos. It was a treat to have some home-cooked food—and even better to have it prepared by someone else while we were busy with other things.
I highly recommend this house for groups or families coming to San Miguel. Our group would happily return and I'd love to book the house to share with my family someday.
Many nearby Hot Springs, Horseback-Riding, Ghost Towns, Close to Guanajuato & Queretaro, Ancient Ruins in Teotahuacan & Butterflies in Michoacan are 1 day excursions
