Spectacular sunsets, the endless glistening ocean, and Molokai and Lanai Islands are the views from your ground floor home and lanai at A102 Hololani. From Nov to Mar be mesmerized by the whales jumping like popcorn right in front of you or watching the turtles come to shore to feed. The sliding glass doors along the front of the condo completely open your home to the ocean breezes and those breathtaking views. There is no need for air conditioning as every room has ceiling fans that whisk the cool ocean breezes throughout the condo. The free underground private parking keeps your car cool and ready for your daily adventures.

This 1100 square foot, open plan, non-smoking unit, has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and a kitchen with all the appliances and beginning supplies a cook will need. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with ensuite and a private sitting garden area. The second bedroom, adjacent to the living room, has twin Murphy beds that disappear into the wall. A sliding wall will make this bedroom private at night, and during the day can be opened expanding your living area and views. If needed, there is a queen sized sofa/sleeper in the living room. Our cleaner is the best in Maui and it shows because this unit sparkles.

Spend your day at the freshwater heated pool (steps from your lanai), strolling and basking in the sun on the many golden sand beaches (all beaches on Maui are public), surfing, golfing, boogie boarding, ziplining or shopping. In the evening come home to the comfort and quiet where you can prepare your dinner on the poolside gas fired grill and dine on your private lanai by the pool. Local markets offer fresh island fish and local produce for your home cooked meals. If you prefer to dine out, there are many restaurants ranging from fast food to fine dining located a short walk from Hololani at the Kahana Gateway Centre. You may want to venture a little further to the neighbouring resort areas of Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili and Kapalua all within a 5-10 minute drive.

You may choose to go golfing at the World Class Plantation Kapalua Golf Course only 1½ miles from Hololani, or visit one of the many other outstanding courses in the immediate area. Enjoy the fabulous snorkeling at Kapalua, Napili, and Honolua Bay. Surfing on both the south and west side of Maui offers gentle breaking waves, or if you are an expert (or just want to watch), visit the north shore, Hookipa, where you will be mesmerized by waves beyond your imagination.

Whatever you choose, or whatever your skill level, there is something for you on Maui.

Wonderful!

In one word, perfect..... Patricia was absolutely wonderful to work with. The condo is just as it appears, except the ocean seems closer! We loved having coffee and breakfast on the lanai in the morning and then dinner there in the evening. The BBQ's are steps away, as is the crystal clear pool. Not all the condos in this building have the huge sliding doors that this condo has. I cannot overstate how amazing it is to open that wall of sliding doors to the lanai and utilize the outdoor area.

First Time in Maui

The view from the Lanai was spectacular. Morning Kona coffee every day for 15 days on the Lanai was hard to leave behind. This unit was beyond our expectations. Comfortable beds, all the amenties in the kitchen, the washer and dryer (went home with all clean clothes). We boated, did the submarine Atlantis, Maui Air for a helicopter ride over west maui and Molikai, sunset cruise. Our favorite beach was Fleming perfect for all ages and a short ride away. Glenn was a great property manager on site that made sure the place was sparkling and the torches lite. The location of this unit was perfect for us. Short ride to everything including the Times grocery store. Have recommended the unit to several people already who saw our pictures. Patricia was fantastic to deal with, prompt in her e-mails, and even called us at the condo to make sure everything was great. Thanks for a fantastic vacation.

Fantastic family vacation!

Unbelievable sunsets, lots of space, breaching whales and warm pool where our son spent hours and hours! Nice area far enough away from the much more busy Kihie scene. Baby beach a short drive away and perfect for our toddler. Will be back next year! Thanks!

Perfect in every way

We have booked many rentals through VRBO, and this was our favourite. Patricia was unbelievably accommodating when our trip was delayed by 48 hours because one of our sons got sick at the airport and they wouldn't let us board our plane. She made a stressful situation less so. Thank you Patricia!

When we finally arrived at the condo, I was relieved to find it really clean. The beds were comfortable. The wifi worked well. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The neighbours were nice, and our sons made friends with other kids at the pool. The pool was gorgeous and warm. The communal barbecues were spotless.

There wasn't much beach, but we already knew that so it wasn't a big deal. Fantastic beaches are a short drive away.

Finally, the view... we couldn't get over the view. The photos don't do it justice. Even though we weren't there during whale season, we saw whales on two mornings.

We can't wait to return!

Owner's Response: It is stressful when plans don't go the way you expect them to and I was more that willing to help out in any way I could. We stock the condo so our guests do not have to worry about running out to the store immediately and try to include things that our guests will require throughout their stay. Some supplies of course will have to be purchased during the stay, but the essentials are there. Our housekeeper is the best and her team works very hard to make A102 shine and for that we are also truly grateful. Whales, wow aren't you lucky! We look forward to having you come stay with us again.

Truly enjoyable!

We just returned from our stay at Hololani unit A102 and we're ready to return. The best things? Ground floor unit. Being steps from the pool and water. Drinking our morning coffee on the lanai. Cooking our dinner on the complexes BBQ's. The sea turtles. Meeting other friendly vacationers at the pool. A assigned parking spot. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of towels. Wifi (a must with young adults). Close to everything! The only downside was the beach access, but it was only a 50 yard walk to an access point. Sure, air conditioning would have been nice but we knew in advance that the complex did not have it.

Patricia was great to work with. She even contacted us a couple of times to check on repairs that were being done. This was our first experience with VRBO and we were not disappointed. Thanks Patricia!

Thank you of your patience while we worked on fixing that screen door sometimes repairs are required during our guests stay and we appreciate being able to come in and attend to them. Yes, our beach access is not what we would like ,or as it used to be, as Mother Nature has taken it's toll on our ocean front. We are hopeful that this year the County of Maui will allow us to repair and protect our frontage with a permanent structure. Our fingers are crossed. We hope to see you again.

Great Unit very confortable

I really enjoyed our trip to Hawaii. The unit was beautiful we arrived on a Sunday and Patricia was willing to work with us on our check-in time so we did not have to wait. I was worried about the unit being on the first floor and having little privacy, this however was not an issue. First impression was great and it got better from there. Where most units in the building have a sliding glass door going to the patio, this unit has what could only be described as a sliding glass wall. Almost the entire wall opens up and allows the fresh ocean air to flow through the unit. This ventilation is important as there is no air conditioner. With this ventilation no air conditioner is needed. My wife and I took the master, leaving the Murphy beds for the kids. The kids enjoyed sleeping with a view of the ocean. Another nice feature is that the doors have vent slats on them. This allows air to flow through the door while still giving you a measure of privacy from sight but not sound. I noticed there was a pull out couch, however we did not use it. My children enjoyed the ability to play on the patio and adjoining lawn, and it was an easy entry to the pool. So, two negatives: one there are some owners who live in the building who are touchy about noise. I worked with Patricia and told her about our experience and she actively addressed it. Two, no direct beach access, while this is an ocean front property and had beach access in the past they for some reason removed the steps to the beach.

Owner's Response: Yes, of all the renovations the owner has made to this condo, the sliding glass doors to the lanai was by far the best investment. They bring the outside in and it's like living outdoors. As for the problem with the owners who live in Hololani being over zealous about the noise, this has been addressed, the Board has dealt with them, and it will also be on the agenda of the next Board meeting. Thank you again for bringing it to my attention so I could deal with it. We had to close our beach access as it was no longer safe for guests to use. Mother Nature has not been kind to us over the years and we have been in negotiations with the County of Maui regarding this problem for some time now and we are hopeful that this will be the year we get the go ahead to build a revetment. Stay posted for news. There are beaches within walking distance of us and of course countless beaches on Maui for everyone to use. All beaches on Maui are public even those in front of those massive resorts.
