Becky purchased this House in 2004
Why Becky chose Guntersville
We designed and constructed both of our lake houses with our large Family in mind. We are delighted to share them with you. You will surely find how wonderfully accommodating these floor plans can be especially for large groups, familiar or unfamiliar. Although the yard is fairly level, If you have step issues, remember you can drive your vehicle from the front door to the water's edge.
What makes this House unique
Internet TV's in almost every room and free Internet. This location is marvelous. Wyeth is a coveted area of Lake Guntersville. Homes in this neighborhood are top of the market with mostly permanent residents. Yet this property is in a protected mountain cove with a boat loading ramp, dock, and natural sand bar for swimming, making it especially great for children with kayaks the paddle boats. You will be just 5 minutes from downtown Guntersville, by boat or car, to include restaurants and grocery stores.

Sand Bar Great for Kids; Very Responsive Owners
Our group was 14 people (5 kids and 9 adults). There is a sand bar in the lake not far from the house, which was a really great spot for the kids to play in the water. We especially enjoyed the kayaks. If you have young children, you should know that the grassy area behind the house is very steep and not suitable for play.
The house is in need of some spring cleaning and maintenance. We had issues with moisture in the downstairs living area but the owners came and addressed it immediately. It is a basement space so it is damp by nature. The furniture has been well used and feels like it--sinking into chairs and couch and wobbly bar stools due to missing rails.
The kitchen was a hodgepodge of things. Plan to bring your own knives and non-stick pans if you plan to do much cooking. We were unable to locate a cutting board in the kitchen, and the owners went out and bought some boards and brought them to us. Be prepared to leave dry goods on the counter as there's only one small shelf in the kitchen cabinets to store groceries.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Wyeth House, and were very impressed with the quick response of the owners to all of our inquiries.
We do not understand the description of the back yard as there are numerous pictures on line. The upstairs tile deck is fully enclosed for small children. We have 9 Grandchildren who have no trouble playing in this backyard.
The stated hodgepodge kitchen does not make sense either as there are two coffee pots , toaster, electric can opener, ice cream freezer, bread machine, crockpots, four sets of dishes, bar glasses, two ice machines, utensils, knives, and a stainless steel and iron skillet and pots. We have since purchased a full set of non stick pots and pans to add to the others. We would have provided these if she had asked for them. We don't know how you could have more cabinet space as you can see in the pictures there is an abundance of storage to include a pantry for storing dry goods. As you can see from the pictures the downstairs is not a full basement. Only the front facade is below grade. After her partisan statement and although no one else felt the need we decided to add a new Hepa Air filter for each of the 3 downstairs bedroom. This was in addition to the wonderfully working, permanently plumbed dehumidifier . We will consider all suggestion and try to please everyone.
As for the furniture, we have a brand new 2019 sofa and a new table and chairs downstairs, a 2018 sofa in the upstairs, newly upholstered 2019 lighthouse cushions. We are constantly adding new furniture and repairing dining chairs as they do take a lot of abuse.
Our cleaning crew is amazing, I will not agree with anyone saying the house was anything but spotless.
Enjoyed our stay.
Thank You for a wonderful review. Please come again.
One of the best rentals on the lake
Just finished our annual fishing trip to Guntersville. We have rented from Beddingfield about 8 times over the last 12 years. This house is by far the best fit for our large group, We usually have 12-16 people in our group and always have plenty of room. the have plenty of parking and dock space for 6-7 boats. Love having 3 full baths, no waiting on a shower and the tankless water heater means not having to take a cold shower because everyone showered at the same time. The kitchen is large and stocked well enough to make it easy to prepare large meals for our group of hungry fishermen. By far the best deal on the lake. Larry has always been attentive to make sure we have all we need and if we did ever have an issue, which ihas been very rare, is quick to resolve it. Already looking forward to book again in 2020. We have also booked the larger home on signal pointe and love it as well. Thanks again for sharing this great home with us.
March Fishing Trip
We had a great time as always and enjoyed the fishing Lake Guntersville has to offer. My only suggestion would be to install regular boat cleats on the dock. At the rear and front of the slip. The current circle hooks make it difficult to tie up quickly. Otherwise everything works and we had a great time.
Great House. Great location.
Excellent property. Kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boats. Close to downtown and restaurants.
Glad to have these people to stay at our property on the Lake.
Beautiful Lakeside Property
The home is quite lovely and laid out very well to accommodate a large group of people. We ended up having 9 adults staying in the home. The Christmas decorations were a nice touch and we appreciated you making the effort to have them ready upon our arrival. The location of the home was great…being right on the lake was so nice and our only regret was that it was too cool and rainy to enjoy the outdoors. The house was very convenient to the grocery store and the quaint little town of Guntersville that was also beautifully decorated. The carport on the front of the house was a wonderful feature due to the rain. Being able to access the cars without getting wet was great. There were some issues with the TV's but the internet worked great. Some of the furniture cushions and mattresses were a bit soft for our taste and bad backs. There was some mold in a couple of the baths which was a bit troublesome. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this lovely home.
