Owner purchased this condo in 2003
We originally chose to come to Grand Cayman as our son had taken a scuba diving course in the Dominican Republic and was keen to continue. We booked a condo on 7 Mile Beach and had a wonderful family holiday with our son and daughter. We fell in love with Grand Cayman and decided then we would really like to own a condo there. After two more visits we were ready to buy. We found Discovery Point Club on the website and made a booking and when we arrived were given the key to number 41. When we walked out onto the terrace we were just in awe of the breathtaking view along 7 Mile Beach and we really enjoyed the laid back holiday atmosphere of the resort. Our Real Estate Agent arrived with a list of condos to show us and unbelievably number 41 was on the list. We travelled the length of 7 Mile Beach looking at all the various condo options and kept saying none of them could touch the view from 41 DPC and that is how we came to be the present owners of our little piece of paradise.
We really appreciate the privacy our third floor terrace affords when dining or relaxing, yet still being able to have a birds eye view of the beach and pool and whatever is going on nearby. We also enjoy relaxing on the uncrowded beach and watching the magnificent sunsets, as well as taking full advantage of the wonderful snorkeling and swimming right in front of the condo. Cemetery Reef a top snorkeling spot is an easy swim or short walk away. Having family and friends located all over the world we have found Discovery Point Club to be the most wonderful place for us to have happy reunions. We also love having the great choice of nearby restaurants.
We stayed here as a family of five(5) which included two teenagers and one 13 year old and we all absolutely loved it ! We had ample sleeping arrangements for all 5 and all pledged to return soon. The kids did the SUP, snorkeling and we did some diving with Divetech whom I would highly recommend. We liked that the walk to Tiki Beach was I guess a mile or so and all the cruise crowds were non issues. Condo was as presented - very clean, all the towels we needed, beds were comfortable and the view was awesome ! I would highly recommend this condo to anyone.
We stayed here for 7 nights with our two children age 10 and 9. This was our first time visiting the Grand Cayman and we absolutely loved the condo, the location and the island. We felt so welcome when we arrived late to the Condo with the fresh fruit basket. The kids hit the pool and hot tub immediately before unwinding and then we woke up and saw paradise. The ocean was steps off our balcony - we would sit and listen to the waves every night. The Conceige, daily cleaning service , wifi and free local calls made it feel like home. The gardener's came by with fresh coconuts one day while sitting on the beach - and opened them to drink the coconut water - very refreshing.
The grocery store is just a quick minute away - we were able to stock up and we picked up take out Caribeann foods along with Captain Beard's Rum cakes a couple of times - the BBQ chichen is amazing.
This part of seven mile beach is quieter and close to fabulous cuisine - we dined at Ristorante Pappagallo, The Cracke Conch, Morgan's,Vivo (these are the one's we would also recommend).
The Snorkelling off the beach was truly amazing and we saw a sting ray.
We explored the island taking in Rum Point, Starfish Beach and the Iguana Reserve. We saw Iguana's and lizards every day - loved it. We took the Sting Ray Sandbar trip with Captain Marvel.
Everything was perfect. Highly recommend this little gem of a unit.
We spent 6 nights at Discovery Point in July 2016. The condo was very clean and comfortable for a family of 4. We really liked the location on the beach (not overcrowded) and we had a wonderful view from the balcony. The snorkeling right in front of the condo was great! We snorkeled and floated on rafts the whole week-total relaxation! We can't wait to return to Grand Cayman and stay here again.
From our very first moments, until our final hours this was the most wonderful condo we have ever stayed. It's one of those places you know you will return to after only being there a few moments. The pictures as well as the reviews accurately describe this unit. However, when you arrive it's even better.
It is obvious the owners are well seasoned travelers with an eye for modern, clean, island decor. The kitchen is awesome and well stocked. We enjoyed the view most of all. Of note is the expansive balcony which affords a wonderful panoramic view and room for breakfast.
Finally, the staff on property are very friendly and helpful. Their service and kindness take me back to the days when I first visited these islands 30 years ago. Bravo for retaining your Caymanian charm!
We spent 5 nights at Discovery Point in May 2016.
My husband and I really enjoyed the beatiful location, it was perfect .
The house is equipped with everything you need.
The white beach is downstairs and the torquoise sea is around you .
The view from the living room is breathtaking .
I really raccomand this place and defently we'll be back soon!
We spent 11 nights at Discovery Point over Spring Break 2016. The location was perfect, away from the areas where the cruise ships drop off tourists, and away from the over crowded beaches of the large hotels. You need a car, but we always rent cars to tour the islands at our own pace and schedule. Yes, they drive on the left side of the road, but you get used to it very quickly.
The staff at Discovery Point treated us as if we were long lost friends. There was a good supply of towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, and tiki huts to accommodate all guests. We walked for miles up and down the 7-mile beach and always felt right at home. There is a great snorkeling area just a 10-minute walk up the beach at cemetery reef. There are also good snorkeling spots directly in front of the condos. The coral does come close to shore at Discovery Point, so some kind of beach shoes/crocs/booties are helpful.
This condo was large (1,300sq/ft) with 2 bedroom, 2 baths, full kitchen, and awesome balcony that faced the ocean. I cannot imagine a better view on 7-mile beach. We spent every night watching incredible sunsets. Unit #41 was nicely decorated with granite kitchen counters, nice furniture, comfortable beds, modern appliances, and electronics: TVs, DVD, Wi-Fi, etc. Would definitely visit Discovery Point again!
