Large and beautifully appointed, separate country 'cottage' provides you with all the comforts of home in the midst of the amazing wine country of Sonoma and Russian River Valley. You can rent the complete upstairs one-bedroom unit (for one couple @ $275/night), or add on the second downstairs bedroom (for another couple or family members +$75 or $350/night total) for just a fraction more.
The kitchen is fully stocked for the gourmet cook, and offers both gas and charcoal grills for staying in and BBQing on those long, warm Summer/Fall nights. The deck has an eastern exposure -- perfect for sipping a cup of Peet's coffee (provided) and watching the hot air balloons take to the sky. And the private jacuzzi is a wonderful place to unwind and count the endless number of stars.
A vineyard of pinot noir surrounds the gated five-acre property, providing views in every direction. 2011 marked the year of our first harvest -- It was a beautiful event for us. Now the wine is in the bottle and will be awaiting your arrival to provide you with your first taste of this incredible area.
You will feel like you are far away from it all, when actually charming Windsor is only 2 miles away, and the lovely town of Healdsburg, with incredible shopping and dining, just 5 miles.
This is some of the most enchanting cycling country you will ever experience, and if wine tasting is your thing, this property is at the gateway of Russian River, Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys.
We spend time with our guests, when we are in town and upon request, making recommendations for wineries and restaurants, along with the many other activities this area offers. We want you to leave here feeling rested, relaxed and full of wonderful memories to reflect upon! Don't hesitate to call us with any question, and please contact us for a rate quote (the rate calculator does not work given the 1 & 2 bedroom options). Cheers!

Susan and Ron Stockman, Owners
Susan Stockman purchased this cottage in 2007
When we found this property nine years ago, we knew we had arrived at our dream home, with enough land to plant a small vineyard. The landscaping was pretty bare-bones, so we had a wonderful time creating the garden setting that surrounds us now. We now have five vintages of award winning pinot noir produced from this lovely vineyard around us! We love that we feel like we are 'off the grid' when truly we are only minutes away from some lovely wine country towns -- and the wineries, too, of course! ;)
In town for the Snoppy hockey tournament in Santa Rosa... what a great place to stay!! Easy access to everywhere. The cottage was beautiful, immaculate with wonderful views. We had everything we needed. Bed comfortable, well stocked kitchen, great hot tub...I could go on and on!! Don't miss KC Kitchen in downtown Windsor, great breakfast! Thank you Susan and Ron for everything...we will definitely be back next year. Sharing this gem with all of my friends!!
We have been to Wine Country many times and this was the best yet. The cottage feels more like a home. Very comfortable and well maintained. Ron and Susan are excellent hosts....helpful all along the way. And the property they are on is really wonderful....Great location, close to Windsor and Healdsburg but you feel like you're in the country. We will be back and have already recommended to friends.
Four people recently shared this unit for a long weekend wine tasting in the Dry Creek Valley. The accommodations were excellent and the location very convenient to everything we wanted to see. The owners were very helpful at every step, be sure to ask them for their restaurant recommendations. We particularly enjoyed Chalkboard in Healdsburg.
The apartment is very spacious and well stocked. The second bedroom worked out well for the other couple. I think that this apartment is a great place to stay and exceeds the description provided by the owners. We would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary over the New Year's Eve/New Year's weekend. The cottage is perfect, either for a couple or two couples. As other reviews have noted, the accommodations are top notch and even better than the description. It had everything we needed for a perfect wine country vacation -- a quiet and prime location near Healdsburg and the Dry Creek, Russian River, and Anderson Valleys; a location separate and private from the main house; beautiful views of the vineyard and surroundings; a well-equipped and stocked kitchen so that we could cook with all of the basics available; a hot tub to warm up in on cold (for California) mornings and evenings; and terrific hosts who made sure that we were very well taken care of before, during, and after our visit. We will look forward to returning soon and opening the bottle of wine that was so nicely provide from the estate vineyard.
We shared this home with another couple for three days, and the experience was totally positive. The accomodations were top notch and the hosts were extraordinary in terms of friendliness and willingness to assist with planning activities in the area. We won't repeat all of the superlatives already noted by previous reviewers, but we would like to make special mention of the quality of the wine we purchased from Ron and Susan, produced from their own vineyard. This Pinot Noir (Old Camp Vines, 2012) was exceptional! Even after doing numerous tastings at the various wineries throughout the Russian River Valley and becoming somewhat overwhelmed by the numerous offerings available, we would rate this one at or near the top of a very extensive and competitive list. All in all, our stay here was outstanding.
My wife and I just stayed here for our anniversary and the moment we walked through the doors we already wanted to book our next trip. Let me keep this review short and sweet:
- the property is beautiful and very well cared for
- the amenities are all you'll need. Bbq, beautiful upstairs porch, brand new jacuzzi, all movie channels if you like TV, and surrounded by vineyards.
- very quiet area and secluded, yet very accessible to Healdsburg and Santa Rosa.
- Susan and Ron are top-notch hosts. Very kind and intent on providing a great experience.
If you want a beautiful place that is secluded, that is a MUCH better value than you'd get at any hotel, yes, even Hotel Healdsburg, this is the place.
We will be back. Worth every penny.
