Large and beautifully appointed, separate country 'cottage' provides you with all the comforts of home in the midst of the amazing wine country of Sonoma and Russian River Valley. You can rent the complete upstairs one-bedroom unit (for one couple @ $275/night), or add on the second downstairs bedroom (for another couple or family members +$75 or $350/night total) for just a fraction more.
The kitchen is fully stocked for the gourmet cook, and offers both gas and charcoal grills for staying in and BBQing on those long, warm Summer/Fall nights. The deck has an eastern exposure -- perfect for sipping a cup of Peet's coffee (provided) and watching the hot air balloons take to the sky. And the private jacuzzi is a wonderful place to unwind and count the endless number of stars.
A vineyard of pinot noir surrounds the gated five-acre property, providing views in every direction. 2011 marked the year of our first harvest -- It was a beautiful event for us. Now we have several vintages in the bottle and, if you love Pinot Noir, will be awaiting your arrival to provide you with your first taste of this incredible area.
You will feel like you are far away from it all, when actually charming Windsor is only 2 miles away, and the lovely town of Healdsburg, with incredible shopping and dining, just 5 miles.
This is some of the most enchanting cycling country you will ever experience, and if wine tasting is your thing, this property is at the gateway of Russian River, Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys.
We spend time with our guests, when we are in town and upon request, making recommendations for wineries and restaurants, along with the many other activities this area offers. We want you to leave here feeling rested, relaxed and full of wonderful memories to reflect upon! Don't hesitate to call us with any question, and please contact us for a rate quote (the rate calculator does not work given the 1 & 2 bedroom options). Cheers!

Susan and Ron Stockman, Owners
Susan Stockman purchased this cottage in 2007
When we found this property ten years ago, we knew we had arrived at our dream home, with enough land to plant a small vineyard. The landscaping was pretty bare-bones, so we had a wonderful time creating the garden setting that surrounds us now. We now have five vintages of award winning pinot noir produced from this lovely vineyard around us! We love that we feel like we are 'off the grid' when truly we are only minutes away from some lovely wine country towns -- and the wineries, too, of course! ;)
This was an absolutely fantastic place!!! There is nothing the owners, Susan and Ron Stockman, have not thought of in terms of comfort and style. We stayed in the apartment on the upper floor and loved every minute of it. The place is spacious, immaculate, beautifully decorated and comes with a plethora of food items such as olive oil, coffee, salt, pepper, condiments etc. to make your stay great. There is a gourmet grocery store, Oliver's, about a mile and a half away that we visited several times for steaks, wine and other gourmet goodies to serve our dinner needs. You are on a working Pinot Noir vineyard so it is very scenic and quiet but only a 10-15 min. drive to Healdsburg which has wonderful shops and great restaurants. The property is also very well located for touring and tasting various area vineyards. There is a Weber Grill for cottages guests use and a large deck with gorgeous views over the vineyard and garden area. Our stay here was at the end of a two week long tour of Northern California and while we enjoyed every other place we stayed, this was truly our favorite. After long days of wine tasting, shopping, etc., this property was a fabulous haven to return to----a home away from home. After being in the travel industry for 37 years, this is one of the most memorable, special places we have stayed. Thanks so much to Susan and Ron for creating this oasis---we will certainly be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for peace, luxurious comfort and relaxation. You won't be sorry if you stay here.
I visit wine country nearly every fall, and couldn't think of anywhere else I'd like to marry the man of my dreams. We rented this cottage, along with our best friends, for our wedding and honeymoon. It was absolutely perfect! The house is just beautiful, the separate apartment on the first floor made the house perfect for two couples who want to vacation together, but still have their own privacy. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathroom was perfect, the beds comfortable. The hot tub was great, walks along the rustic road were perfect, and sitting out watching the sunrise over the vines from the upstairs deck, hot air balloons lifting in the distance, with a steaming cup of coffee couldn't be beat!
Susan and Ron were lovely, and were such gracious hosts. I can't imagine marrying the man of my dreams and spending my honeymoon anywhere else. We can't wait to visit again!
In town for the Snoppy hockey tournament in Santa Rosa... what a great place to stay!! Easy access to everywhere. The cottage was beautiful, immaculate with wonderful views. We had everything we needed. Bed comfortable, well stocked kitchen, great hot tub...I could go on and on!! Don't miss KC Kitchen in downtown Windsor, great breakfast! Thank you Susan and Ron for everything...we will definitely be back next year. Sharing this gem with all of my friends!!
We have been to Wine Country many times and this was the best yet. The cottage feels more like a home. Very comfortable and well maintained. Ron and Susan are excellent hosts....helpful all along the way. And the property they are on is really wonderful....Great location, close to Windsor and Healdsburg but you feel like you're in the country. We will be back and have already recommended to friends.
Four people recently shared this unit for a long weekend wine tasting in the Dry Creek Valley. The accommodations were excellent and the location very convenient to everything we wanted to see. The owners were very helpful at every step, be sure to ask them for their restaurant recommendations. We particularly enjoyed Chalkboard in Healdsburg.
The apartment is very spacious and well stocked. The second bedroom worked out well for the other couple. I think that this apartment is a great place to stay and exceeds the description provided by the owners. We would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary over the New Year's Eve/New Year's weekend. The cottage is perfect, either for a couple or two couples. As other reviews have noted, the accommodations are top notch and even better than the description. It had everything we needed for a perfect wine country vacation -- a quiet and prime location near Healdsburg and the Dry Creek, Russian River, and Anderson Valleys; a location separate and private from the main house; beautiful views of the vineyard and surroundings; a well-equipped and stocked kitchen so that we could cook with all of the basics available; a hot tub to warm up in on cold (for California) mornings and evenings; and terrific hosts who made sure that we were very well taken care of before, during, and after our visit. We will look forward to returning soon and opening the bottle of wine that was so nicely provide from the estate vineyard.
