About Lydia Burns

We are a family from a suburb in Chicago, Il. (Wilmette) who discovered Cape San Blas in 1998. We were so attracted to this beautiful area and this wonderful Gulf Front Beach home, called Two Palms, that we bought the house without me actually seeing the house. Boy we were lucky!!! What a great house and gorgeous area.

We stand ready to provide you with a value added and magical vacation experience. Our private manager/concierge, Donna, who lives 5 min. away, will be there to help you in any way and will take care of any problem or emergency you may have. We are also a phone call away from helping you in any way!!!!!

Thanks and Enjoy!!!!

Peter and Lydia Burns- Burns Management

Lydia Burns purchased this house in 1998

Why Lydia Burns chose Florida Panhandle

The beach is really large and wide here. There were/are 2 vacant lots to the East of our property and allows for wide angle and gorgeous unobstructed views of The Gulf of Mexico.

Check out our reviews and especially our value added service with our Red Neck Concierge, Manager- Donna who lives just a few blocks away. WE GOT YOUR BACK!!!!!! We can not promise that there will not be a problem or issue......BUT we can promise we will provide solutions IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

The lot is almost a full acre and there is only Two Palms between the highway (County Road C-30-A) and the Gulf of Mexico. Finally, on the other side of the road, is a huge Buffer /Preservation Reserve that has no houses or buildings on it. This is an extremely low density area, very private and views as a far as the eye can see. Enjoy the Hot Tub right on the deck for gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico, Beach and Brilliant Stars!!

What makes this house unique

This is one of the few Pet Friendly Beaches in the U.S. and the beach at the State Park was rated the BEST beach in the U.S. in 2003. Fishing is out of this world with some of the best and freshest shrimp, oysters, crab, scallops and Grouper you will find anywhere!! Lastly, there are no buildings permitted in Gulf County taller than 3 stories. There are no GIANT condos on the beach.

Bon Fires are permitted on the beach, car permits for driving on the beach are available and there is a very long bike path out to the State Park. Bike rentals are available.

We now have 2 Kayaks available for your personal use. A Two person and One person Ocean Going crafts.

We have a shuffle board court in the Car Port, a Horse Shoe Pit with backstop and a Bocci Ball set.

Two PalmsFrank & Sandi Sylva , NC Review Submitted: February 23, 2010 Date of Stay: January 2010 From the wrath of Hurricane Ida –Two Palms has been restored. The house is beautiful, inviting, comfortable and complete. This was our fourth year at Indian Pass and our second at Two Palms. It was wonderful to be back and the house was even more beautiful than before. We went seeking solitude and a place to rejuvenate ourselves. Two Palms provided. The weather was perfect as always-for January- cool sunny days, starry nights, flaming sunsets, brilliant thunderstorms and howling winds that brought abundant shells to the shores. Two Palms was the perfect shelter to take it all in. The white sand beach is wide and beautiful and we could walk for hours in either direction with our Lab and have it all to ourselves. The kitchen was fully equipped right down to the last detail. The furnishings were new, attractive and comfortable, and the beds, new linens and towels offered the pampered finishing touch. The front porch was our favorite spot providing shelter from sun, wind or rain. The winter sun rises and sets on the porch and we brought an extra blanket just for that purpose. Moving the hot tub to the lower front porch was a brilliant idea and so well thought out, creating another vantage point to enjoy the sunset and the moonrise. Within minutes we could have our kayaks in the water either in Saint Joe’s Bay or the bay at Indian Pass. We were even lucky enough to paddle with the dolphins at sunset. Port St. Joe is 20 minutes west with great grocery shopping at the Piggly Wiggly, a wine shop and restaurants. Our favorite is the Coastal Grill. We picked up groceries on the way in and only had to go into town once for supplies and dinner out. Thirty minutes east will take you in to Apalachicola, an old Florida experience with a rich history, quaint shops and wonderful restaurants. Two Palms is the perfect retreat. The Burns and their staff are friendly and eager to be of assistance and are only a phone call away. But with this fully equipped, beautiful home we didn’t have a need or want for anything. Thank you for another wonderful escape to Indian Pass. See you next year! Our second time at this place and we really enjoyed it

  • 5 of 5

This was the second time we stayed at Two Palms. Our dogs just loved running on the beach and we loved the beach and the new screened in porch. I didn't realize how much I would like it screened in but it keeps it a little cooler and keeps out any pesky bugs. There is plenty of comfortable furniture both inside and outside and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We made use of the wagon to haul our beach gear out to the beach and were very grateful to have it. The house is very close to one of my favorite restaurants, the Indian Pass Raw Bar. I would definitely recommend this property to friends.

Owner's Response: Karen, so nice to have ya’ll back again. Thank you for your kind comments. We are always working to update and improve the experience at Two Palms Villa and it was reassuring to have your feedback from being here 4 years ago and the many improvements we made. The screened in Porch has been a huge improvement and so has the New Hot Tub/Spa. The most recent upgrade was the Two New Couches and Love Seat in the Living Room. We like to pride ourselves on having loads of comfortable outdoor seating as well as a well-stocked Kitchen. Thanks for noticing. The Beach Wagon is also new this year and that seems, so far, to be a great addition. We have added 6 Adirondack Chairs that we placed in our little “Private Beach” area just at end of the Boardwalk. This is a great private area where you won’t be bothered by golf carts or Trucks passing by. There is also a flat area that is cleared out to place a Beach Tent. Now you have 2 different areas to hang out on the beach. One near the water and another closer to the house and more private. Two Palms Villa is Truly Dog Heaven. One of the Best Beach areas anywhere for your Dog to go Wild. Lastly don’t forget about our Special Red Neck Concierge/Manager- Donna, who lives just a couple of minutes away. She will take very good care of you and any needs that you may have. Do you have a special request? Just ask our resident Dream Merchant- Donna, she will do everything she can to make your Vacation to Two Palms Villa a special event to be remembered for years to come. Come on down for a special experience at Two Palms Villa!

Peaceful Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had such an amazing vacation. We were there for two weeks with 5 adults and two children. The house was very nice! It has all the comforts of home! We enjoyed having propane and charcoal grills for cooking. Sitting on the porches and enjoying the sounds of the ocean and our morning cup of coffee was a great start to the day. The beach was very nice, our kids had a lot of fun searching for sea shells and building sand castles. It was so much fun to watch the dolphins swimming by throughout the day. We did some fishing off the beach and caught a few fish. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation!

always great

  • 5 of 5

What can you say, warm sun, great dog friendly beach and a super house with a hot tub to enjoy the sun rise right on the beach. Doesn't get any better. The house is well cared for and lots of room. We only use one of 4 bedrooms but friends and kids can visit ...Time to get out of cold weather and this is like home to us. Exactly as described, always clean, house keeper near by for great service if you need it, only down side is not much to do except relax during the winter months but that s why we like it.

Two-Palms property just like advertised ... Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

Our two week vacation at Two-Palms was so relaxing. The location is perfect. The house is beautiful. Very well kept and clean. Kitchen has all the cooking utensils we needed. Wonderful quiet beach to walk our dogs. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. The owners Mr. and Mrs. Peter Burns and the property manager Donna Stuart were so friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend Two-Palms as the perfect vacation spot.

This map does not show the address correctly of the property. It is on the Gulf of Mexico, beach front. It is not on the bay. it is DIRECTLY on the Gulf of Mexico. There are no other houses in Front or Back of Two Palms. It is in between the Gulf of Mexico and the highway (Florida County Road C-30-A) west of money bayou and the Raw Bar. Also there are 2 vacant lots to the East of Two Palms , which is on almost a full ACRE lot, that creates glorious vistas of the beach and Gulf. It is a remarkably large compound, extremely private and almost deserted beach that is also one of the only remaining PET FRIENDLY beaches in Florida. Vehicles are also allowed on the beach with a permit. Finally, we have a private Manager/Concierge that lives less than 1 mile away who will help you with anything you need or desire.
