Want something different, away from the crowds, but not too far from everything? Our place is for you! (We call it a lodge, but you will NOT be sharing the house with other guests.) Diamond K Lodge is a unique, 2400 sq.ft, modern home, reminiscent of an old country farmhouse, with open layout, sprawling porches & pine floors located on a 220 acre cattle farm in the Nathan area. Relax on the porches, which run the length of the house front & back, enjoy the swing or rocking chairs, watch cattle & horses grazing in the pastures & catch glimpses of deer that visit almost daily. You will not be cramped for space in our big comfy house (2400 sq. ft.) with peaceful surroundings. Kids love it here! Well behaved children are appreciated. Most guests say the house is even better than the pictures. CLICK ON OWNERS WEBSITE FOR MORE PHOTOS & INFO ON OUR OTHER, smaller RENTAL CABIN:

Jerry Kizzia is a long time cattle rancher who has resided on Diamond K Farm most of his life. His wife, Jane, is retired from state employment & now enjoys taking care of the lodge. Both are lifelong residents of the Murfreesboro area.
Come to our place in the country, and you will find that the air is fresher, the stars are brighter, & there's no place prettier on a moonlit night. If you are a city dweller, you will experience a whole different way of life here. You might just like it! We sure do. Elsewhere on the farm we have poultry houses (laying hen operation) that you might enjoy touring with your children . We have covered parking for 2 vehicles & space for your recreational vehicles, boat, etc. No loud partying or unscheduled guests. Failure to adhere to this could result in eviction without refund.
We thoroughly enjoyed our "girl's getaway" and wished we could have planned a longer stay at the little cabin. It provided us with all the essentials and a comfortable stay. Nice to escape the big city life and enjoy the stars at night and not think twice about locking your car or house when you sleep. Mr. Jerry greeted us on arrival and made us feel right at home from the first moment. It was a true pleasure visiting with him while we were there. Thanks also for extending his kind hospitality to my niece with the opportunity to see the country side and travel with him and one of his young teenage employees to share farm animal experiences. Hope to see you again one day for a new adventure.
Perfect! We three siblings needed a place to reconnect and we made the best choice by choosing the Diamond K. The house and setting was perfect. Peaceful and serene. We were very blessed by the hospitality of our lovely hosts. Mr. Jerry was so helpful and kind. We loved the visit to the Chicken house and sorghum mill (of course we loved the molasses!), watching the cattle and various birds. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We hated to have to leave and were talking about a return visit on our way out. Thanks so very much for being a blessing!
What a wonderful place to stay! This peaceful little property was a little slice of heaven. Growing up, I had always wanted to live on a farm, and I got to live out my dream here for 2 days :) I can't stress how glad I am that we stayed here instead of at a hotel. It was like being at home. We had initially booked the smaller cabin, but due to heavy rains and the road to the cabin being a muddy mess, Jane moved us to the lodge, and I am so glad she did. What a warm welcome after 2 days of traveling. Lodge was warm, beds were cozy, bathrooms were clean, atmosphere was peaceful, and the cows were... well, the cows were there for us every morning! Loved being so close to them. Jerry was kind enough to take time out of his busy day to show us his chicken farm and to chat. Only wish we had more time to visit with him. It was only about a 10-15 minute drive to the diamond crater that we came for, and it was close enough to the grocery store as well. Jane and Jerry were gracious enough to leave us some fresh eggs and sorghum syrup! I keep dreaming about when I can go back. I am trying to plan another visit with some more family, I can't wait to share this amazing experience with them!
My wife and I stayed at the Hunter's Cabin on the farm, not the Lodge. Jane and Jerry Kizzia went out of their way to make our stay outstanding. The cabin is rustic, but we loved it! It is peaceful and comfortable with everything we needed for a fabulous Thanksgiving. Mr. Jerry brought us the best eggs we had ever eaten. We smoked a turkey over hickory wood on the porch of the cabin on the cabin's smoker. It was cold and rainy for our sorties to the Crater of Diamonds and our van broke down, but Jane and Jerry lent us one of their vehicles to rescue our trip. They were the sunshine of our visit and we cannot say enough good about these folks!
I had looked in the Murfreesboro area, and was unwilling to take a chance on the local establishments. I came across this listing, and it looked perfect. We had four generations in the lodge (wife and kids, inlaws, and grand-parents), and everyone had something to enjoy. The entire experience was just absolutely a pleasure. When I shared the nightly price, everyone was blown away. We will definitely be coming back to Murfreesboro, and definitely staying at the Diamond K lodge again.
What a magnificent birthday! We stayed in the cabin - the lodge was larger than we needed for 2 adults and a 1 1/2 yr old - but the cabin was perfect for us. It was so nice to not have the city noises in the background or lights. We enjoyed being able to see the stars so clearly, see the fields lit with fire bugs, and hear sounds of the farm. My son thoroughly enjoyed "talking" to the cows and horses. Even though he didn't want to pet the chickens he did keep making noises like them the rest of the night. The feeling we had the whole visit was so much like the feeling of going to a family members house, it was so comfortable, the cabin was stocked so thoughtfully. Even though we already had other plans on our trip we were considering on asking if the next night was available! It was wonderful to spend my birthday here on your farm with my family and not in a hotel... It certainly made it much more memorable.
Thank you for your generosity and hospitality. I look forward to another trip in the future!
