My husband and I have lived in and cared for Hale Aliomanu (VRBO 306938) and Hale Aloha (VRBO 308945) for many years. Both private gated estates are 200 feet apart on same secluded Aliomanu Bay.
I have always loved the water, and after coming to Hawaii in the 70's when I was 17 I knew I'd never leave. We moved to Kauai in 2000 and love the ocean, surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and fishing. The quiet small town appeal of Kauai fits our personalities perfectly.
Some of my most cherished family memories are from the estates at Aliomanu Bay.
Please give us a call anytime about your vacation plans and this property.

Turquoise blue ocean views, watching the sun come out of the water from my deck, from my bed, from my front yard, whale watching in the winter, monk seals sleeping on the beach, dolphins in the summer, turtles year round and seeing the Milky Way like never before. The swaying 40 foot palm trees, the cool ocean breeze throughout the home, and the lulling sounds of the ocean are so enticing. And the shelling, finding coral letters on the beach that spell 'L O V E', walks on the virtually private beach, the children building sand castles everywhere and enjoying the quiet splendor of a private part of Kauai is what separates this home from many other oceanfront properties.
This is a wonderful home on the beach. Perfect for family-sized groups, it's secluded yet accessible. All of the amenities are provided and you quickly feel like you're at home. Access to the beach is easy and the water is perfect for snorkeling (gear provided for you!). We had a lovely time and will likely return next year!
Hale Aloha is a first class property in every way, from the secluded location with gorgeous ocean views to the way the house was comfortably furnished and equipped. And we enjoyed having the reef protected beach right out of the front yard gate where our grandkids could swim, snorkel and kayak. Jude, the property manager was very responsive when we had any questions or needed help. We had a fun, relaxing family vacation that we hope to repeat in the future.
There are no words to properly describe our vacation on Kauai-but "magical" comes closest. This home is gorgeous and even nicer than represented on the website. Jude is a very thoughtful and friendly manager who will truly do her best to meet your every need. I'm a baker and the home was VERY well stocked, they even had Pink Himalayan Sea Salt in the pantry! However, I guess most people don't come to Hawai'i to bake and there was no mixer. Jude stopped by to check on us and we mentioned this and *boom!* the house now has a mixer! All of our needs were met and had I known how truly well stocked the home was I could've literally just packed a carry on and had all I needed for the trip. In an email prior to our trip we were informed that shampoo and conditioner and soaps would be supplied, but I did not trust that it would be quality shampoo and a real conditioner (not "conditioning shampoo" like in hotels) so I brought my own everything which was completely unnecessary! Not only was it quality-it was of superior quality! We were provided with Malie organic products, a local Hawai'ian product that had us googling where we could buy it because it was so amazing!
The yard was perfect for the children to play. The ocean was right out of our back door and we snorkeled every. single. day! We saw unicorn fish, butterfly fish, a sting ray, Christmas wrasse, the list goes on and on-it was a gorgeous, thriving reef right in your back yard! The landscaping was gorgeous, there is a coconut grove right up the beach that is straight from a movie...oh and the icing on the cake? It's all yours! Honestly. We had the beach COMPLETELY to ourselves 8 out of 9 days!!!!!
I can't say enough about how lovely this home made our vacation. The privacy, the luxury, the convenience, the KITCHEN...even the pull out bed in the den is of the highest quality and supremely comfortable! Vacation like a Kardashian! lol Kauai is the most beautiful place I've ever been. The mountains, canyons, waterfalls, and of course the ocean...truly breathtaking. You can't drive for 5 minutes without gasping at God's majesty.
Leave the hoards of tourists at the hotel. Enjoy walking straight out your door to the beach. Kayak in the provided kayaks! Snorkel with the provided snorkels. Cook in the chef's kitchen. Meet your best hair with the Malie shampoo and conditioner! Enjoy every moment that you get to be in Hawai'i.
Our stay at Hale Aloha was sublime. Wish I could say something negative about the house but there is none that I can think of. The weather was a little on the cool side but we still found enough sun to enjoy. We came to Kauai to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family of 9. As most people have already said, the home was more that any of us expected and our jaws dropped when we walked in. We prided ourselves on our choice to not stay in a big hotel as this was so much more comfortable with more than enough room for our family. It was beautifully decorated to every detail and we enjoyed the lovely art and surfing artifacts in every room and hallway plus wonderful amenities. The scent of Plumeria, the sound of the ocean, and the joyful cries of the grandkids filled our senses. We had many excursions during our week but when we asked our three grandkids what was their favorite they all agreed it was being at the house. Our 8 year old loved the “baseball field” in the backyard where he could hit balls out to sea if his dad missed catching them, the two twelve year olds loved reading in the hammock and snorkeling in the safe waters or stringing plumeria blossoms into a lei. One of our daughters brought a stand-up paddle so we would see her or her husband out early every morning exploring the reef. My husband and I enjoyed the kayaks and it was so great there were plenty of water toys and even croquet. We agreed that it was a great snorkel spot beating Tunnels Beach. Our daughters who are “foodies” loved the kitchen and we had sumptuous meals in the lovely dinning room listening to the sound of the surf in the background. Jude (and sometimes her husband Paul) was on call at all times for any of our needs. Jude would be over to fix whatever within 5 minutes. We fell in love with them and their amazing pineapples. I have already ordered some to remind us of the joyous time we had at Hale Aloha. Sonja, the most pleasant concierge, was helpful to point us in the right direction to the best activities for our family. To soften the blow of leaving we dream of returning for another special time at this oasis. We can’t imagine a better way to celebrate any occasion than at Hale Aloha.
We have rented many homes through VRBO, this was one of the best. The house is spacious and comfortable. The view was beautiful. The yard was well maintained as was the house. There were beach toys, yard toys and indoor toys for the children. I have recommended it to several friends and will continue to do so. We were there for a week, it was a perfect spot. Better than any hotel in Hawaii.
I can't even begin to tell you how AMAZING this home is! These pictures don't do it justice! Private home on large property with the beach right out your back door. The kitchen is stocked with high end appliances and anything you need to make a gourmet meal. We had a group of 12 of us and it was spacious enough that we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The location is in the perfect spot! Only 20min away from the charming town of Hanalei and just a short drive to the south of the island. The property manager was darling and left us some of her WONDERFUL sugarloaf pineapple that has me wishing I could eat it every morning for the rest of my life! She even dropped of some binoculars at our request so that we could do some whale watching in the backyard. I can't say enough good things about this place. We were spoiled!
