Beautifully furnished 1820 farmhouse with porches all around at end of dead end road, The house sits in a meadow sloping down to the White River, a great swimming and fishing river. We have 2 great swimming holes on our land, with a mile and a half of river frontage. The house, which feels like a 19th century farmhouse has a beautiful large kitchen with cherry counters and a 6 burner garland stove, dishwasher and a fully stocked kitchen.
There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor with a large bath which includes a Jacuzzi and a steam
bath. The living room has a large stone fireplace, with exposed beams and windows in every direction. Upstairs there is a sleeping loft with 2 single beds, and beyond that is a master bedroom with its own bath. There are no houses visible from the property - an extremely private and peaceful place.
BR B Amenities: /B BR Fully stocked kitchen with 6 burner Garland stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer, all linens and firewood provided, stone fireplace, great swimming and fishing on property, as well as hiking. Golf and tennis nearby.
We've lived here for 50 years, and bought and remodeled this
1820 house in 1978. We're both artists, and the house is filled
with paintings and sculpture. In summer the house is surrounded
by lovely gardens, and the views from the porches are of the
surrounding meadows and fields, and of the river with its private
beach. In winter we ski off the porch onto miles of gorgeous
cross country trails. Being at the end of a dead end road adds
to the feeling of a unique and peaceful hideaway.

The posting for this property undersells its true beauty. It is nestled in a secluded area that is right on the bank of the White River with plenty of places to explore and bask in the natural beauty of this Vermont. There is an ample amount of places to get groceries and the distance from Killington couldn't have been more perfect. The house is set up wonderfully with art work adorning every wall in the house. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of snowboarding and the ample amount of board games in the house really allowed everybody to truly connect to each other and disconnect from cell phones and other distractions we are all too used to. I cannot speak highly enough of the owners and how accommodating they were. Every step of the way they were there to answer questions of mine so that our weekend went seamlessly. This was a perfect weekend with my friends and I hope I will be able to visit this property again!
we are in Gaysville, along the White River. We have two swimming holes on our property and 200 acres of
meadows and woods to walk in and cross country ski on.
