Awesome way to experience Paris

  • 5 of 5

I had a fantastic experience with Claude the owner and Samy the property manager. The location of this apartment right around the corner from Notre Dame at this price is just amazing. This will absolutely be my first choice when visiting Paris again. You walk outside and you are in the heart of the Latin Quarter where there are tons of shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Claude was very responsive to emails and even made personal restaurant recommendations. I cannot say enough about the experience.

Guestbook Comment

  • 5 of 5

I just came back from a dream trip to Paris from a trip I booked at with Claude on his site. My husband and I had a magical time staying in the charming little flat and I couldn't imagine being in a better location at a better price. Thank god some of these charming, inexpensive places still exist in the center Paris. Claude was extremely informative and the place was exactly as he described. I can't wait to go back. Hopefully the exchange rate will be better next time :(

The little room is clean enough and workable. The stairway leading up is very dirty and shabby .

  • 3 of 5

Being historic does not mean having a dirty and unkept entry . The room was OK. Smaller in person than on photograph but typical of area as Claude points out. The street noise is signficant but we were amply forewarned. It was hard to overcome that first (and continuous in coming and going) impression of the stairwell.

A lovely place

  • 5 of 5

Such a wonderful place to stay in! A little bit packed but is totally OK with us! Within walking distance to river Seine and Notre Dame Cathedral. Restaurants and fresh markets are just around the corner . The famous Pharmacie Monge is about ten minutes walking away. If you want to live like a Parisian, this is the right place for you!

Would Rent Again

  • 4 of 5

The bathroom is extremely small, even shorter people will have to sit on the toilet sideways. The kitchenette could have been better equipped with pots and pans. We only were supplied with a frying pan (no sauce pan). The bed needs replacing, as both of our backs were in great pain after a couple nights. However, the location is unbeatable. The studio is cute. And we highly enjoyed ourselves. It would also be nice if the 40 euro tax was just included in the fee. That was surprising and kind of odd.

OK but not Great

  • 3 of 5

Hi, this city center apartment is small to say the least and the picture do do it justice. once entering the apartment from a very under maintained stairwell the apartment smelt of drains straight away and seemed very different from the pictures. The apartment was a studio apartment with a very small kitchen that could just fit a very slim person in and then feel claustrophobic. we could hear every movement in side the building and outside in the streets which lead to lack of sleep (so maybe ear plugs are recommended). the Latino club directly opposite the apartment is very noisy with people hanging around outside smoking and shouting but i suppose this is what you get with a place so central. Saying that the apparent is perfect for visiting the touristy places and for eating out (which we did every Night) in the city center, we found some wonderful restaurants. if you do book this apartment, its small, may smell of drains, hard to cook in, perfect for the tourist locations and restaurants, definitely need to bring ear plugs and a little expensive for what it is you basically you pay for the location. The host's supplied plenty of information on how to get to the apartment and the surrounding areas.
