Comment from our renters who stayed over the Labor Day holiday weekend:
"Just wanted to let you know we had a great time this weekend--
your place was perfect for us.
The house was perfect. The weather was not. Though, I can think of no better place to be trapped indoors on a cold, rainy day. The Richards have truly thought of everything. The thoughtfully appointed, comfortable bedrooms were a great place to crash after a day of exploring the area's offerings (which are too many to describe here). There was even a built-in stereo system that got along well with my iPod! If you're lucky enough to find Margie's Resort vacant, don't hesitate! It's even better than their Website describes.
My 5 friends and I stayed in Margie's Resort log cabin for a girls getaway and everything was very clean and new looking! It was a great location for everything we wanted to do; sand dunes, shop, and wineries! It was also so nice to come back to such a comfortable, beautiful cabin in a nice quite location.
This property had everything that you could want in a vacation rental. It was in a perfect location to visit Traverse City, the Leelanau Pennisula, and Sleeping Bear National Park. It was also nice enough to just want to stay there.
Cabin was wonderful. Unfortunately weather in mid June was not very nice at all with high winds and highs in the 60's so we got little to no use out of the water. Inside was very roomy and up to date. Beds were comfy, TV in bedrooms for the kids, and wifi. Minor complaint suggestion would be to move the grill to the front porch instead of in the back.
The house is well stocked, clean and downright gorgeous! The location is perfect, you'll enjoy the relaxing, scenic drive to the house. There is lots to do. You can rent jet skis and pontoon boats without ever leaving the driveway.
Morning coffee overlooking the lake and Smores by a bonfire are a must. The views are so spectacular that you won't want to leave the deck. I agree that pictures do not do this place justice. You must see it in person.
But most of all, the owner and his family could not have been nicer. They are genuine and hospitable, which is hard to find when renting a vacation home. Let's face it, it's usually a shot in the dark when you rent a place on the internet. By the end of the triip they felt like friends.
If you are planning a vacation to Traverse City this is the place to stay. You won't be disappointed! Book Now!!!
Pictures don't show how beautiful and fun property is. Very warm with tons of stuff to do around area. Bike trail 0.8 miles down road paved into Traverse City. Really would recommend staying in this property.
We are in the heart of Leelanau County. You can go North and/or West for a quaint village atmosphere, or South and/or East for Shopping and more urban activities.
