La Casa Caliente is located just north and west of Historic Sonoma Square (approximately 4 miles), and just south of the charming town of Glen Ellen (approximately 5 miles). The nearest winery is approximately 0.5 miles from the property. World class restaurants and shopping are also nearby, all of which make the Sonoma Valley so special.
Casa Caliente was inspired by the farm houses and small villas of Spain and Italy. Located on over one acre of terraced landscape, the property has vegetable and flower gardens, olive and fruit trees, huge California and live Oaks, and a charming seasonal creek.
Take an afternoon swim in the approximately 40-foot solar heated pool, relax in the hot tub under the stars, create great food in the fully equipped kitchen, or lounge on one of the terraces and simply enjoy the best of wine country living. Total privacy and lush landscaping leave no doubt that you are in the world renowned wine country.
Beds include 2 California King bedrooms, 1 Queen bedroom, and luxury Queen convertible sleeping in a semi-private den. (These are not your grandmother's sleeper sofas. These are luxury convertibles with 10 inch thick mattresses and luxury linens.)

La Casa Caliente is a wonderful place to gather with friends and family for a vacation, special occasion or holiday. The property is located in a serene and tranquil wine country enclave and is well suited for peaceful enjoyment. Neighbors and guests enjoy quiet hours between 10:00pm and 7:00am daily. Amplified sound is prohibited outdoors at all times.
Sonoma County strictly prohibits events at licensed vacation rentals. The maximum number of people allowed on the property at any time is 10. The maximum number of vehicles allowed on the property is 3 and street parking is prohibited at all times.
Except for certain properties located within the coastal zone, a Zoning Permit or Use Permit is required for all vacation rentals in Sonoma County and all vacation rentals must be managed by a certified property manager. La Casa Caliente is fully licensed by the County of Sonoma to operate as a vacation rental and is managed by a certified property manager.

My daughters and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Casa Caliente. It's a fabulous residence. The house had everything we could have ever wanted or needed. The backyard with the pool and spa was a hit with the children of family friends we had over to visit Friday afternoon and evening. We certainly will check on the property's availability the next time we visit the Sonoma area.
I stayed at La Casa Caliente with two other couples while attending a medical conference. The pictures here don't fully show off the beauty and size of the house. When you enter through the side door and start walking to the back the house just keeps going. With 2 very large sitting areas, a tv area, spacious kitchen, and dining room you never run out of space. The 3 bedrooms were very comfortable and provided more space then you would get in any hotel. The grounds of the property are well maintained despite the CA drought and allow you to get outside to enjoy coffee in the morning and a cocktail at night. Althogh the pool was too cold for swimming, the hot tub was wonderful in the night for relaxing with some our newly purchased wine. Everything a cook desires could be found in the kitchen and we were able to prepare a really nice meal after shopping downtown. October is a perfect month in Sonoma, not too hot or cold, and this location made visiting the multiple wineries simple. Because of the noise restrictions I wouldn't recommend this for children or teenagers but for adult couples this is the perfect place. When I can revisit Sonoma again this will be the first place I will look into booking.

We stayed at Casa Caliente in July 2016 and were absolutely thrilled with the property. This is a huge house with 3 full bedrooms and three full baths. There are also other sofa beds and day beds. The place could easily accommodate 10+ people and you would not feel cramped. The house was very clean and had everything you could want. We used the commercial quality range and also the grill outside to prepare dinner two of the nights. It had everything that I needed to cook. There is also an extensive garden in the side yard with numerous vegetables and herbs that are available for guests to pick. It's located in a great area that's 10 minutes from the town square, a Whole Foods, and the Sonoma Market. The location is simply perfect for us.
Sean is an outstanding owner who bends over backwards for his renters! He is VERY responsive to texts and phone calls. He wants his guests to be happy and return year after year. He made the entire process very easy and was an absolute pleasure to rent from. I can't give him enough credit for the way he runs this rental property.
I can't say enough positive things about this property. First off, Sean was great to work with...fast follow up, answered all of my questions (I had quite a few!) and he even sent me additional pictures when I asked about sleeping arrangements. We used the property for an annual girls get away, and to be honest, I can't see us going anywhere else from here on out. The home is modern, spacious and had a plethora of amenities. The grounds are beyond beautiful. We spent three days/nights at the property and didn't leave once. I can't wait to go back!!
La Casa Caliente was fabulous! It was beautiful; very well designed and comfortable for the nine of us; exceptionally clean and light. It contained everything we needed. The grounds are spectacular, and the pool and hot tub were much enjoyed by our family. back memories from many years ago of And the yard is breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you for sharing this lovely home in Sonoma. The weekend was one our family will always remember.
I just celebrated my birthday with a group of 10, all of whom stayed comfortably at this beautiful home. The property itself is breathtaking with various types of trees and gardens which provide the ultimate privacy. We even saw a cockatoo in one of the trees! As was stated in a previous review, the photos don't do the house or property justice because it is just THAT beautiful.
There was plenty of space to sleep for our entire group, the description of the beds is exactly as listed. The pool/hot tub area is magnificent. We lucked out with great weather and were able to thoroughly enjoy cool off in pool during the day and warm up in the hot tub in the evening.
Sean is a great host! I accidentally turned the hot tub off and cannot figure out how to turn it back on, so Sean FaceTimed with me to show me how to turn it on properly. Such great service, thank you Sean!
The house is quite close to downtown Sonoma Square (10 mins). Our group had no issue calling Ubers to the house to get into town easily. We also visited several vineyards in Napa Valley - the house was about a 20-30 minute drive to the area.
The house is fully stocked. We had plenty of towels, linens, pots and pans, irons, steamers, etc.
I would return to the house in a heartbeat - very highly recommended.

Vacation properties are often rented far in advance. It is, therefore, difficult to fill a vacancy as the rental term approaches. If Tenant cancels in writing more than 90 days before Check-In Time, Tenant will receive a full refund (less a 3% credit card processing fee on the amount paid). If Tenant cancels in writing less than 90 days before Check-in Time, Landlord will try to re-rent the Rental Property, with a goal of receiving the total rent indicated in this Agreement. If Landlord is able to find a substitute tenant at an amount equal to or greater than the rent, Landlord will refund to Tenant any amount Tenant has paid, less an $125 administrative fee. If Landlord is able to find a substitute tenant at an amount less than the rent, Landlord will refund to Tenant the rent paid by the substitute tenant and the Security Deposit, less an $125 administrative fee. If Landlord is unable to find a substitute tenant, all amounts paid by Tenant will be forfeited (excluding the Cleaning Fee and Security Deposit).
We request a 50% deposit to secure your reservation and the balance is due 90 days prior to check-in. Payment is requested by Discover, MasterCard and Visa: we do not accept cash, checks, PayPal, Venmo, etc.
