Stylishly appointed, this 4 room studio suite (478sq.ft.) was designed with comfort foremost in mind. Commodious seating, luxurious new bedding, a quality Cal-King mattress and high end bath linens are just a few of the “upscale” amenities. The cool blue and stone colored walls compliment the contemporary furnishings, clean lines, hardwoods, bamboo flooring and oriental carpets. Waves play in the floor to ceiling beveled mirror wall panel. The Asian art found throughout the apartment (museum puttied in place to prevent accidents) lends an exotic air to the décor.
The same care to detail is shown throughout the rest of the suite.
Soothing to the senses and stocked with everything needed for an evening of fine dining “ensuite” to a beach picnic, this apartment may well be the “Best Bang for the Buck” accommodation on the Kona coast.

Dark chocolate covered macadamia nuts and a NICE chilled Chardonnay will be waiting for you to enjoy. 'The Kona Bali Kai'. Midway down Ali'i Drive is famous surf spot 'Banyans' (your view, as pictured in the slide show), adjacent to the Kona Bali Kai main building. (2 miles north to 'Restaurant Row' and the Village, 3 miles south to Keahou Bay and less than a mile to “Magic Sands” beach.) Across and just south from the main building, 12 unit 'Building 3' is easily accessed and has a 'laid back' feeling not usually associated with condos. The unit is on the slightly elevated (10 ft. above sea level) first floor (easy access and good views of the ocean over 2 lane Ali'i Drive), with private residences on the north and east, a 'Mom and Pop' style market (w/ spirits) on the south and the Pacific Ocean to your west.

We definitely had the best vacation of our lives and this condo was perfect for what we needed. The location is optimal in my opinion for a week vacation for people who want to enjoy the whole island or stay on the beach. The price beat the heck out of a hotel, the kitchen was nice, and we were very comfortable.
My husband and I stayed in this delightful studio for one week and we were VERY pleased. We arrived late at night and really appreciated the wine, chocolates and nuts Rebecca had waiting for us – the perfect treat after a long travel day. The king size bed was very comfortable and we loved listening to the waves crashing on the shore just across the street.
There is a convenient parking spot right by the front door, which was available all week for us. We felt very safe and at-home here, the locals were very friendly. The unit was very well equipped - lots of very plush bath towels, toiletries, hair dryer, kitchen appliances and condiments galore. 2 boogie boards, 2 small coolers, ice packs, oversized beach towels and 2 beach chairs provided everything we needed for a day at the beach. Wifi was excellent and we had no issues FaceTiming and watching Netflix. Lots of movies and books available in the unit as well. Rebecca was in touch before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, and graciously allowed us to a late check out to accommodate our 11 pm flight home.
The Kona trolley stops right in front of the Kona Bali Kai, and will quickly take you to/from town for $2 per person each way. It only runs until about 9 pm though, and after that a quick $10 cab ride will get you back home. We really enjoyed ending our days at Laverne’s Sports Bar which tended to host a mostly ‘older’ crowd (40+) until about 11:00. Also really enjoyed Splashers Grill and Humpy’s Alehouse.
We found some amazing snorkelling at Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, about a 20 minute drive away. The turtles would literally bump into us while we were snorkelling. Truly breathtaking above and below water.
All in all, this was an excellent home base for our Kona adventures, and we would not hesitate to stay here again and to recommend this unit to others. Mahalo Rebecca!
This was my first time in Hawaii and I was on my honeymoon so I was really excited to arrive! The studio apartment had all the amenities we needed, right down to q-tips lol! I loved the location because at night, you can open the patio door and hear the ocean waves. There are two big grilling areas that sit RIGHT OFF THE OCEAN and my husband and I cooked out a few days. There is free parking also, but if you don't have a car, the Kona bus and the trolley have a stop right out front. We felt at home the whole time we were there and couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our new union!
This was a great experience right from the start --super nice and professional owner made everything simple and answered our many questions promptly. We stayed most of December and it wasn't long enough! Great view, great location and really BIG for a studio. Tastefully decorated with high end furnishings and art. SUPER comfortable--great bed! Spent a comfortable 2 weeks at the property. Enjoyed watching the local surfers ever morning and evening at the local surf spot across the street from the unit. The property had BBQs located by the ocean so we could watch the surfers while we were cooking our dinner. The unit was older but well maintained and furnished with everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation. The owner is very accomodating as well as her local contacts. We mostly ate in but did enjoy the calamari at the Kona Canoe Club in the village. Huggos on the Rocks was a good place to go as well.
