Also on Gozo there is a winter. Although it is not as icy cold as in much of Europe, but also

This allows you to feel comfortable in our house in the winter, we are dealing with central heating

fitted. Use of this central heating we can - not quite free, however - to offer in winter.

To the rent nor would the operating costs for heating, the actual after

Consumption would be charged.

Cook, eat, clean up: The large kitchen has been completely renovated in recent. A new electric cooker with ceramic hob and oven (convection, grill) and a new microwave were integrated into handmade by a Gozitan carpenter new kitchen furniture. In addition, a large fridge, separate freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, etc., etc. available. Next to the kitchen is the dining room closes at where you can eat comfortably at a big massive pine wood table. Here, too, pieces of furniture from Gozo's past have found a place. If you have any questions or problems, Mary will be able to help you surely.

What you can do in Xagra: In Xaghra you can find a temple that is older than the pyramids of Cairo. You have the opportunity to visit the cave of Calypso, where Ulysses long time to have forgotten to sail home ...! For children and the toy museum is very interesting. In addition, you can visit two caves and an ancient mill. On the large square in front of the church, the locals often meet for a chat. There are a number of different stores (supermarket, butcher, mini market - necessarily go in and see how the people there shopped 100 years ago, hairdressers, quaint bars and restaurants, of which are mentioned in all the guidebooks two

Beautiful, Intimate, High-quality

  • 5 of 5

I don't speak german, but had to comment on this farmhouse. It was very well appointed, comfortable, private, and quiet. We have family in gozo and everyone who came to visit commented that this was one of the nicest farm houses they've seen. Hella (the owner) is extremely friendly and accommodating. We visited in a heatwave in July - 41-degree heat, and the house was cool and breezy and comfortable. Everything has been thought of. We had our 1-yr-old daughter with us and Hella supplied a crib and high chair. We really enjoyed our stay - and will rent it again. Oh - the pictures do not do it justice - it is more beautiful than that!

We had a wonderful holiday in The Castle as my wife called it.We visited friends who live on the island so we entertained in the house on one occation, the kitchen is well equipt for doing so,other properties we have rented before had nothing like the ammount of kitchen wear that the house had.The tranfers went like clockwork to and from airport. All the people who look after the house etc Maria and Carmel were great .The house is just a short walk from the town square were there are good restaurants, shopping etc.Car was good for sightseeing, going to Victoria the capital, and seeing all the Historic parts of the Island that are a must do.Beaches are good and at the time we went in may hardly anybody on them. All in all an excellent vacation. paul and friends london

Die Latte liegt ganz hoch!

  • 5 of 5

Also ein paar Meter weiter parken.

  • 5 of 5

Simply magnificent

  • 5 of 5

Normally when one starts out planning for and then eventually travelling to a vacation, you book a rental based on the expected activities, surroundings and the investment you want to make. What we found was a HOME. The owners have meticulously worked on restoring this farmhouse over decades and what you get is not a simple rental – it’s a dream come true! One can see and realize the finesse of detailed sleepy dreams in every part of the building from the very first step into it. Restored over time, equipped with a mix of new and seasoned apparels and furniture, a fine built-in, handmade kitchen with every appliance necessary a clean terrasse with beautiful plants and a clean pool…. I could on a lot longer.

Arrangements to be picked up at the airport as well as from the ferry arriving in Mgarr worked perfectly, we had emergency numbers all over and a car-rental was arranged, the car delivered to the house next morning. Also a lot of email-communication took place prior to arrival and thus everyone was well informed.

The house is located pretty much central in Xaghra but off enough to have tranquility when needed.

Add to this a late night arrival where we found a first night care-package in the fridge, a housekeeper to do laundry every week and a detailed script of what might be interesting, info about the house, places to go (or better not go  ) …. We couldn’t have dreamt of having a better start into the vacation, nor a finer place to stay.

Might be subjective thoughts, but if ever were to make my dreams go to work and get my own house on Gozo, I would need the highest standards to shape it any way like this place and I would most likely still fail – given the love that was put into rebuilding this house into what is clearly not a simple rental but more a place to feel at home – for everyone.

We stayed here for two weeks with four people but could easily have been six. We thoroughly enjoyed our days on Gozo and a big part of it was having a start and an ending to the day in paradise home. Regardless of whether you intend to scour Gozo or Malta and will only stay at the house in the evenings or overnight, or alternatively you want to laze at the pool, your place is this house.

All in all, a big thumbs up and I hope I’ll get the chance to a further stay in this same site in the future. I can only give the best references, there was not a single downside to the arrangements.

  • 5 of 5

About Gozo, the little sister island of Malta, I do not have much to tell. You know it in Gozo quiet, leisurely and especially green than Malta. So here's some to place Xaghra (pronounced Shara), your resort on Gozo: There it is here, the original life on a small island in the Mediterranean. Located in the heart of the village of Xaghra in close contact with the very friendly population of Gozo. In the morning or in the evening the fishermen come through the places and you can very inexpensive to purchase the freshest fish. It is typical of the island that constantly drive cars with seasonal vegetables from the farmers of the island, and fresh sheep cheese, eggs through the towns. Just be there several times brought the residents the fresh bread daily almost to the front door. Of course there are in Xaghra also supermarkets and all other shopping.
