Why The Owner chose Northeast Washington

When our children were little this was a very busy resort. My In-laws took their trailer up at the beginning of the summer and then other members of the family would go up and camp or just go for the day. There was a large camping area, some cabins, and a restaurant out by the road. Lots of companies held their company picnics there. We have had numerous people stop by to share their memories of the time they spent at Sacheen Lake Resort. One of our sons drove by one day and saw the for sale sign and we bought it. That was almost 17 years ago.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy watching the eagles and ospreys fly over and sometimes dive for food. Occasionally, we see a heron sitting at the end of the dock. There is a beaver that just moved into the stream that runs on one side of the property, turtles and a few times we have seen deer come down for a drink. I enjoy the view. The house and cabins are set back from the lake and there is a large expanse of lawn between the houses and the beach and we just have a wonderful view of the whole end of the lake. This is a piece of property that we could never replace. We have 7 acres of lake view property! We are truly blessed.

Simply Lovely!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Old Sacheen Lake Resort was just lovely. The house is clean and cute and there were so many things to do outside. We loved the fire pit down by the lake, and we even saw a bald eagle right out the front window. It is in a beautiful location and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

Nice summer stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay, The house was just as we pictured it, charming clean and tidy. The upstairs bedroom where my granddaughter and her friend stayed had toys and a puppet theater in it which they had a blast with. It was fun to watch their productions! I know the toys were lonely when they went home! The house stayed very cool during the day which was marvelous as the weather was very warm, and it cooled off each night for pleasant sleeping weather. There were a great many geese which required some daily beach cleaning while the children were there, and the water was weedier that I really like, but the water was nice, the paddle boat was fun and the dock was where I spent most of my time. The kitchen was very well appointed and there was plenty of space for the things we brought with us. We were close enough to Spokane that we were able to run to town to catch a movie in Wandemere and close enough to Newport for a quick grocery run. I would come back here and stay again!

Never a let down!

  • 5 of 5

This is my family's third time renting this property. Our stay is never a let down and can be described as our "happy place". The owners are very friendly and are always available to answer any questions. The setting provides the opportunity to get away from our busy worlds and reunite with the joy of family. The property is well maintained and offers all of the amenities that any one would need!

Fabulous family get away!

  • 5 of 5

My sisters and I rented this cabin for a week long vacation to relax and reconnect with each other. The pictures do not do this property any justice... it is everything that we were hoping for and more. The view was spectacular, the cabin had absolutely anything you could ask for - very well stocked, clean and spacious. It was able to accommodate all of our families ranging in ages from 4 - 67 (dad had his birthday out there!) this also included teenagers. Not one complaint while there! Wonderful memories. Thank you and we hope to make this an annual event!

Awesome views, charming !

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed 3 days at this lovely home. We were impressed with the spaciousness, cleanliness and beautiful views of the expansive lawn to the water and the lake. We took kayaks out on the lake for a beautiful sunset paddle, rode our bikes over to Diamond Lake and absolutely enjoyed our little vacation. Our caretakers were wonderful-- showed us all around the property, shared the history, and made us feel right at home. We hope to secure a week next summer.
