About the property

600 sq.ft. (55m2) apartment with mountain views - 1 BR 1 BA, Sleeps 2

Situated in a quiet residential area of Banff, this cozy and private apartment is located at ground level of our main residence. But because of our location, you still get great mountain views!! We are conveniently situated within walking distance to all restaurants and shops. The grocery store is a 5min walk, and so is the Parks Canada Information Centre where you can buy your park pass and gather all of the information for your trip to supplement the guide books and maps we leave for our guest's use during their stay. As your hosts, we are always happy to make recommendations on places to visit and trails to hike.

The apartment is fully equipped with everything to make your stay in Banff comfortable and convenient. Electric appliances include: full size stove and oven, full size fridge, quiet Miele dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and hand mixer. For your laundry needs, there is a washer/dryer in the suite and we supply soap for your convenience. Optik TV, DVD player, land phone line for local calls, and free, secured WI-FI access. If you have large items with you, we provide a secure storage area for skis, bicycles, golf clubs or other sports toys. This is truly one of Banff's coziest, and affordable, accommodation options.

About Banff Alpine Suite

We are long-time Banff residents and we are happy to cater to those who wish to spend a bit more time in Banff to truly explore the Canadian Rockies in a way that makes them feel at home ... away from home.

What makes this apartment unique

Hotels are expensive and cooking facilities are usually very limited. For an extended stay we offer the perfect solution at an affordable price. Several times we have hosted parents who have a child working in Banff, but due to the housing restrictions, cannot offer lodging to their parents. The size of the apartment with it's full kitchen provides a great opportunity for a visiting family to connect with their loved one.

Very comfortable, excellent location.

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the apartment during our skiing holiday. It is in less than 5 min walking distance from the center, in a quiet place. Only 2-3min walk to a nearest ski bus stop. The apartment is comfortable, large and well equipped. We didn't cook much as there is a huge choice of restaurants in town, but there was everything that is needed for cooking. Marie-Pierre was exceptionally friendly and helpful, I particularly valued her advice about the town and areas to ski. The apartment was warm and comfortable and there was fast, reliable WiFi. We would love to come again and I'd like to recommend the apartment to anyone going to stay in Banff!

Wonderful apartment, location and Hosts.

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Alpine Suite was perfect. The apartment is spacious, spotless, comfortably and tastefully furnished. Huge bed and excellent storage throughout. The location on one of Banff's prettiest residential streets would be hard to beat. A car isn't necessary. We had one but often left it parked on street and walked around. Very easy walk to Banff Ave., for restaurants, groceries and Retail or access to the Bow River Falls Bridge. A beautiful area. Having the fully equipped kitchen enabled us to have home cooked meals. Turkey size oven, domestic size frig and dishwasher. Having the washer/dryer duet in the apartment was fantastic.

The Hosts were a charming and helpful couple and never intrusive. If the weather was harsh we were happy to stay in and relax or read in the cozy and warm lounge. Outlooks from the picture windows were spectacular. Great views to the many mountains. Lighting was excellent, day or night.

We're hoping to return.

Hidden Gem in the centre of Banff amidst the beautiful Canadian Rockies and National park.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 15 nights over Christmas and New Years at the Alpine Suite and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The self contained apartment was centrally located within walking distance of the main street and everything that Banff has to offer, close to restaurants cafes, shops and supermarket. The property was well maintained very clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need in your home away from home, a real tree was even provided for us to decorate over the festive period. The owners were fantastic and so helpful providing very useful information about the town, ski fields and surrounding areas prior to our arrival which made planning so much easier. They were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay and offered many great suggestions and advice to make our trip memorable. The apartment was warm and cosy larger than we expected and had plenty of room for our family with reliable WiFi. Outside the apartment their was a storage room for all our ski and snowboard gear which was really handy as well and plenty of parking on the street for our hire car. Alpine Suite was a fantastic spot to base yourself to explore Banff and the surrounding Canadian Rockies we travelled as far as Kicking Horse throughout the day and thoroughly enjoyed the drive and scenery. We would love to return here again for another holiday and would recommend the apartment to friends and family. Thanks again for going above and beyond our expectations.

Perfect Location - Excellent Vacation Apartment

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a fantastic two-week husband & wife summer getaway in the Canadian rockies. The mountains were high, the air was pure, the water was clear, and the Alpine Suite was excellent. The apartment location was perfect - two blocks off the main street of Banff Avenue. We could walk to the grocery store, to restaurants, to shops, to the art centre, to concerts in the park, to church, to the Bow River, and to the Tunnel Mountain trailhead.

Before booking the apartment, we had two firm requirements - high-speed internet and a good bed. Check. Check. Plus the apartment was very well equipped with kitchen utensils, table & chairs, sofa, washer & dryer, etc. Can't think of anything that was missing.

An added bonus was the friendliness of Marie-Pierre and Gordon with their unique history and knowledge of the entire region. Our apartment was cozy and private, but Marie-Pierre and Gordon were accessible and more than willing to answer questions when we asked. For us there could not have been a better place to stay for our two-week getaway in Banff. I highly recommend the Alpine Suite!

Great Accommodations!

  • 5 of 5

We just spent a week in this apartment while attending the Banff Mountain Book and Film Festival and we loved it. Centrally located a couple of blocks from Banff Avenue, the grocery store, the Banff Center, and the Bow River. We could walk to a variety of hiking trails and we were minutes by car away from anything else we could possibly need. The kitchen was well-equipped (not the usual mismatched old utensils you often find in rental properties) and we prepared breakfasts and a few dinners there. We used the en-suite washer and dryer. The owners are upstairs, but it is very private with a separate entrance. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Excellent appartment

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is situated right in the centre of Banff in the quiet residential area just a few steps from the main streets. Which was a great convinience. Grocery shop is may be 8-10 minutes walk from the appartment. The owners are very present and helpful.

The appartment is very tidy and nice and I can say looks better in reality than on the pictures. The kitchen is very well equipped, plenty of plates, cutlery, pots and utencils so we didn't feel that we required anything extra during our stay. Having a washing machine and a dryer was a great plus especially when you are staying for the longer periods. The appartment also has an iron and an iron board, a hair dryer, lots of various cleaning solutions (including detergent and soap for the dishwasher), paper towels, etc. - you name it. So we didn't need to buy any ourselfs.

The only thing that spoilt our stay is that the heating air system though working perfectly is very loud and as i was -18 degrees outside the heating was turning up every 15-30 minutes waiking us up at night. But I don't think anything can be done about this. If you a sound sleeper I guess it won't bother you, but for us it was a problem.

Overall it's a great place and I am highly recommend it.
