We are excited to share our home with vacationers that would like to take advantage of beautiful Sausalito. We found ourselves with more space than we need and have made our downstairs unit private so that renters can experience their vacation on their own. We have lived in Sausalito for the past 6 years and love the weather, the community and feel of this town. It is great to be so close to the city and yet so very far away.
The Owner purchased this house in 2008
We love Sausalito - it is location that not only our friends and family love to visit, but people who come to the area fall in love. We think our rental unit will just stoke the fires of that love affair as it is peaceful and tranquil with one of the most amazing views in the area.
The property does have a washer and dryer onsite if needed - basic pantry items are included as we offer a full kitchen, dining room and deck that is perfect for entertaining or enjoying a fantastic home cooked meal. There are also fantastic restaurant options in the area for your dining enjoyment. We love how convenient it is to popular sightseeing trips as well as physical activities of hiking, biking, and kayaking.
My husband and I vacationed out West for 9 days with our two daughters. We stayed in Sausalito at this property for 2 nights. The views from the deck are simply breathtaking! The owners came out to greet us right away and made us feel so at home. Everything was provided and our stay really felt welcoming. There were plenty of linens, kitchen essentials, cups, plates, etc and things that you might have forgotten to pack when staying this far from home! (And the coffee we found in the freezer was amazing!) The master bed is so comfortable and our daughters really enjoyed the pull out sofa bed in the living room and waking up to that glorious view! I would highly recommend this property to a family or a couple who are wanting to get away with a fabulous view of the California bay! The owners were friendly, welcoming, and knew a lot about the area (beaches, restaurants, cool places to see and things to do, etc.) We would love to stay here again if we ever make it back to Sausalito!!
Dan & and EJ are great hosts. The view is amazing. We actually slept on the pullout couch just so we could go to sleep and wake up to the view.
Our stay was too short! We will have to come again for more enjoyment of this cozy and warm Getaway to have fun and rest as well. It was chilly while we were in Sausalito for our family Christmas celebrations and being able to return to the warmth of the fireplace and well appointed apartment was just what we needed.Bed was comfy and the shower was wonderful too! Will definitely be back. Thank you Dan for you graciousness and clean accomodations.
This is our third stay here, and it's become our West Coast home-way-from-home. Dan & EJ are marvelous hosts, thinking of every detail to make our stay comfortable. The location is well-situated for views, walking into town, & getting to local hikes; the apartment is spotlessly clean & furnished thoughtfully. Yes, it's an 'old house', so has its quirks - but we love it!
We were looking for a weekend getaway that would be relaxing and quiet yet not isolated. We certainly found it here. The highlight of this property is the beautiful view. Although it was raining and we couldn't really enjoy the deck, the floor to ceiling windows provided a fantastic view both day and night. A cozy fire in the living room really added to the ambience and comfort. The kitchen is very nicely supplied for eating in and the dining table is great. We had everything we needed and the house was clean with nice towels and bedding. Always a gauge for me! We walked downtown each morning for coffee and a danish and a stroll around town. Sausalito is very quaint with some nice restaurants and a beautiful harbor. Had fun playing pool and watching football at Smitty's Bar. The hike back up to the house is a good workout but parking is readily available downtown if driving is preferred. Sunday was a beautiful day and we went to nearby Golden Gate National Park/Hawk Hill. So much to do in the area. Dan and EJ were very welcoming and kind. We really appreciated their offer to stay and enjoy the sunny day past checkout time. Overall, the house was ideal for the weekend and we would certainly visit again.
We really appreciated our stay at Dan's place. It is located in a gorgeous neighborhood on a hill and offers a beautiful view on Sausalito Bay. The house was well equipped, there was even a blender! The fridge could be replaced as it was quite noisy. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot and with a good water pressure. The house was cold and humid as we are in October so it would have been nice to have the heater on. Fortunately, there was a fireplace, so we heated like in old times. For city dwellers like us, it was nice to make fires. I would recommend this place which is a good holiday home with a style a bit outdated that reminded me my childhood.
