Kaha Lani means "Heavenly Place" in Hawaiian, which describes this beautifully-appointed, two bedroom, two bath, beachfront condominium on Kauai’s magical Coconut Coast. The home of ancient royalty. The view from the living room, dining room, master bedroom, and lanai is of miles of sandy beach and surf.
Your condominium is only a few hundred feet from miles of undeveloped, white-sand beaches. Nestled between the oceanfront Wailua Golf Course (rated one of the best municipal courses in America) and Lydgate Beach Park, this is an intimate and tranquil setting.
Alternatively, enjoy a lovely beachfront pool nestled within palm trees and gorgeous landscaping just a few steps from your unit. An excellent lighted tennis court and putting green round out this property.
Kaha Lani is centrally located on the island, so you are an easy drive to the North Shore beaches and rain forests as well as Poipu and Waimea Canyon to the south. The nearby Wailua River offers kayaking, hiking, and the famous Fern Grotto.
Perfect for couples and families alike, the adjacent Lydgate Park has a protected area for snorkeling and swimming. There is also a toddler swimming area and large playground.
This condominium unit has a townhouse floor plan. The unit is on the corner making it very light and bright with windows on three sides. The unit was completely remodeled with new kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, lighting and paint throughout in June 2015.
The condominium has a very open style where the kitchen is separated from the dining and living areas only by a breakfast bar. The living room and dining room are adjacent to a large lanai, all of which look out over the spectacular beach and surf.
Enjoy whale watching and the sway of the palms while relaxing on your large private lanai, fully equipped with patio furniture and lounges. One bedroom and bath complete the main floor.
The upstairs consists of a master bedroom and bathroom with more oceanfront views as well.
All in all, you will certainly be comfortable at Kaha Lani.
We love to flyfish, hike, camp and ski. Kayaking is a new pashion since coming to Hawaii.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2003
Kaha Lani's location was the main reason we bought this property. Beautifully located in the perfect climate on the Coconut coast, it is situated right between the desert south and the rainforest north of Kauai.
Walks on the beach where you are virtually the only ones there. Over 6 miles of undeveloped beach are right at our doorstep. Listening to the ocean crash on the beach from the unit, and fantastic snorkling just a few steps away. Our children loved the playground and massive park surrounding the complex
This is a beautiful place - we stayed for six nights (two couples). The kitchen looks very new and modern and all was exceptionally clean (the fridge door looks shocking - old with rust marks - but inside seems fine). You can see the waves rolling in and palm trees from the front lanei. A few minutes walk to the paved path to Lydgate Beach Park and Wailua. We enjoyed the feeling of relative privacy compared with the resorts along the south coast. It was a real bonus to have the washer/dryer and towels.
Kauai seemed small to us after a week on the Big Island, so everything was very do-able from this location: we went to the North Shore and Na Pali coast, the South Shore, sea tour from Port Allen, Waimea Canyon... Wailua and Kapa'a are very close: this is great if you want to book a kayak trip up the Wailua River. It's a pleasant walk along the ocean (and footbridge next to road bridge) to Wailua - we went to the Lava Lava Beach Club one evening for cocktails all round and no designated driver!
He had a terrific time on Kauai and this place played a huge part in it. It was beautifully redone and it had all the amenities of home. It was great to be able to stay at a place that we felt like was truly a home away from home.
My wife and I have two teenage children. We had a wonderful stay. The property was well appointed, in line with VRBO advertising and had all of the things we look for in a vacation home... washer/dryer, towels (beach and bath), television (though we didn't spend a whole lot of time with that, small, but easy to use kitchen (perfect for a week-long stay) and everything was clean and well maintained. Previous guests were good enough not to waste condiments and spices so we didn't have to buy those. The pool was great and the beach was perfect even with 65 footers rolling on the north shore.
The only thing I can say that could be improved upon was toilet paper... yes, toilet paper. For all that was provided, we nearly ran out of it and would have had to buy more if we stayed one more day. A down side about Kauai (for the unitiated as we were there for the first time) is the cost. Compared to Oahu, I would guage it at ~20-40% higher in price (restaurants, groceries, fuel and attractions). Something to keep in mind if you wish to be on a budget. Recommend you not look at what you spend until well after your return.
Aside from that little nit, I would highly recommend it for others. We were not disappointed.
An excellent trip. Accommodations are very nice, clean and in good condition. The view is amazing. It is quiet, friendly and calm. The ocean is absolutely incredible out front. My 6 year old and I played in the surf for hours each day. Very conveniently located and central, yet very secluded. I would highly recommend this place I hope to go again.
The condo is centrally located on island. The condo is located between two state parks. On left side (while looking at ocean), the park has great swimming cove with no waves. Many fish in their…bring food to feed them while smoking. Outside swim area on beach, you have small waves in morning and larger waves in afternoon. It was nice option to just walk outside to beach vs. driving. The property has three gas weber grills. The kids enjoyed more swimming in evening as I grilled dinner.
The unit could use some updates, but price is right for location and walk to ocean. Would stay again and hope to do so.
Whale watching, surf fishing right in front of the unit.
