Casa Dos Peces is a special place, located 20 minutes from Zihuatanejo and the international airport. The property has a 180 degree view of the point and Manzanillo Bay. The house is on the beach with direct access to surfing, body surfing, boogie boarding, swimming or beachcombing opportunities. Sunsets are spectacular and a wonderful time to walk to nearby restaurants.
Casa Dos Peces is located off of the main road on a quiet dead end street with no traffic. The house has been professionally designed and decorated to meet all the comforts of a five star hotel. Nery, Heron, Adela and Antonio,(our staff), will take excellent care of you. Daily housekeeping as well as a full breakfast is included in the rental fee.
If you prefer not to cook, but would rather eat at home, Nery is an excellent cook, and for a small fee, will prepare her fabulous Mexican specialties for you. Each bedroom suite has an exterior, private entrance, and all rooms have air conditioning, private balconies and sitting areas. All rooms have fantastic views of the bay and the rain forest.
Casa Dos Peces is paradise found!

Casa Dos Peces is not only a magical setting for our lovely house, but it is also a wonderfully, romantic setting. We met while building the house. Bill hired me to do the architectural and interior design and it was love at first sight! We are certain that you too will feel how special our home is.
Sylvia purchased this villa in 2006
This wonderful setting on the point was the main attraction for Bill, who has been surfing most of his life, to select this spot to build his house. The waves are great, the beauty is unique, and the house was designed to host his 4 children and many grandchildren. But, as people walked down the beach, inquiries were made as to the possibility of renting it, so he decided to share it with others who would appreciate its beauty and essence.
The most wonderful part about the house is the feeling that you have just entered another world. The mesmerizing views of the waves, the lulling sounds of the ocean and the light breeze which sways the palms in quiet motion will immediately bring you into 'vacation mode'. Good, fresh vegetables and fruit, fresh fish and a wonderful cook and you have just completed the picture!
We wanted to share with you, that just like last time we've had the best holydays. Everything has been perfect.
We wanted to ask you something. Fran is now writing articles for a Mexican online magazine about restaurants and trips, and we would love to talk about Troncones and of course about Casa Dos Peces as the best place to stay. Would you mind? Please let us know. The magazine is www.Masaryk.tv, and is a high profile lifestyle magazine.
We gathered here for a small family wedding and vacation. Sylvia was so incredible to work with on plans for the trip and event. The house is absolutely beautiful, as is the beach and atmosphere. The staff at the house is top notch. Nery cooked for us most nights and the food was fabulous. Snorkeling, horseback riding, and excursions are readily available. The wedding was perfect as was the week our family spent in this magical place.
We stayed at Casa Dos Peces for one week in May 2016. The house is beautiful--extremely clean and well maintained with a lovely pool and beach area. We had 10 people ranging from elderly to young adult and everyone loved it! Nery is an amazing cook--our breakfasts were fabulous and we often had her make us lunch and dinner--everything was spectacular. We were there for our daughter's wedding (the wedding was at another venue) but we held a welcome cocktail hour at Casa Dos Peces with drinks and appetizers (for 90 guests). Nery handled all of the food and it was great!! Everyone loved being there.
We have stayed in many places--domestic and abroad. I must say, this was one of the nicest ever. I can't say enough good things about the house and the staff. I highly recommend this property.
I also had numerous emails with Sylvia before our arrival--she was always extremely helpful with all of my requests and questions. Thank you, Sylvia and a big thanks to all of the staff!!
Our family of 9 adults and 6 small children spent 2 weeks at Casa Dos Peces in late February/early March. Although we have vacationed in Mexico with the family on many occasions, this was our very favorite spot of all time. What we most enjoyed was the location, in that we could watch our surfers and boogie boarders paddle out to a great surf break right in front of the house. Equally significant was the wonderful staff, whose kindness and patience we truly appreciated. Nery was accommodating in every way, as was her husband who kindly volunteered to drive us to Zihua one evening when we had an incident that required a visit to the hospital. Nery arranged babysitters when needed, message therapy, cribs for the babies, separate dinnertime for the children, whatever we required she was there to happily assist us. Casa Dos Peces is a beautiful house that is expertly maintained and cleaned daily, with lovely well-cared-for pool and grounds. We enjoyed local restaurants on a couple of evenings out, and found getting around quite easy with a rental car, local taxis, and beach walking. The owners, Sylvia and Bill, made our planning, communication, and arrangements a breeze. We are already talking about a return to this wonderful place in 2 years.
Our family of 12 started doing a 2-week stint in Mexico a few years ago (every 2 years), and this was our second time at Casa Dos Peces. We had been to a few other spots, all amazing in their own way, but we liked Casa Dos Peces so much that it was a unanimous decision to come back.
I included more detail in my previous review below, but it was perfect in every way:
- Easy access from Zihuatanejo for airport, groceries, etc, but far enough away that it was also quiet and pristine. There are also a few great bars and rustic local restaurants within 5 minutes driving or 15 minutes walking away.
- The protected bay offers both good sandy beach about 100ft away and some rockiness for excellent snorkeling and diving. Walking just around the corner towards Troncones is a beautiful stretch of sand perfect for long walks.
- Our group had younger kids, so it was perfect to have the pool right in our courtyard for when we didn’t want to go down to the beach. And when we did hit the beach, the waves were great for boogie boarding.
- The rooms were all very comfortable, each with a nice little deck and chairs. Bathrooms and showers were also first-rate. Great water pressure.
- But the part that really makes Casa Dos Peces is Nery, Heron and family. They took SUCH good care of us, and we had a lot of fun with them too. Can’t say enough good things about them – such good hosts and what an amazing family.
Thank you Sylvia and Bill for sharing this gem with us. It is a memory our family will treasure forever.
I have no idea where to start. My now wife and I planned for a year our wedding vacation. Our goal was to get our family, non travelers, to experience something new and what we love to do (travel) but needed to keep it from getting to far from the comforts of home and safe.
Enter Manzanillo Bay, Silivia (owner of dos peces), J.P. (owner or Jardin del Eden and Mr. everything wedding planner) and Nery and staff (Dos Peces caretakers).... We had the best vacations of our lives.
Manzanillo Bay is populated enough to have 2 great restaurants and small enough that day swimming in the ocean is all to yourself. I've lived in Hawaii and this will be my new tropical vacation spot. Horses to ride, fish to catch, whales breeching, friendly/honest locals, the peddlers are charming and not overwhelming, and safe for teenagers to roam the beach during the day.
Silvia dealt with us for a year. She answered every question and gave us the scoop on who is who... Most importantly she played psychiatrist and reassured us that we were making the right calls on our wedding planning. Thank you. She even offered us a wedding gift.
J.P. owns and operates Jardin del Eden. He planned three night for us; cocktails, rehearsal, and wedding. It went off better than we could dream. His food was fresh and drinks delicious (warning: we had to tell him to cut back on the tequila). We will visit often and we feel like he's our friend.
Nery and staff... Silvia and husband built and designed this beautiful property, it's one of their babies, and I think both would agree that the staff is what makes this place a spectacular spot for vacation. Nery ran to the grocery store (small price), cooked breakfast (included), cooked other meals (small price), made me a hangover drink (after wedding, I think this was a gift), held my nieces and nephews, laughed with us, called us cabs, arranged a babysitter, won her regional soccer championship, and became a family member; that's a hell of a week. Her staff is her family and they treat you the same, it's not comprehensible until you experience it. Treat them with respect and a good tip and you'll get 10 fold in return. Just go and if you want to have a wedding contact me through J.P. or Silvia
THANK YOU DOS PECES
Our large group just got back from a memory making vacation in this spectacular home. Truly the pictures do not give you the same jaw dropping impression you have when you finally walk in the front gate! That pleasure never changed, with Nery helping us with everything from meals, to activities, and taxis. Her mouth watering breakfast every morning is already missed now that we are back home. We ate out at a few of the local places, and took advantage of Nery's great cooking as well as the seafood truck to make our own meals also.
Every room was fantastic, although the the beds are on the firm side. You can pay extra for AC, but we found the fans were enough. The main group area for eating and game playing is the perfect layout for getting together, and the rooms are private for retreating to. The daily service and upkeep is perfect, and non intrusive. The pool was the greatest place to wile away the afternoon, and we used their boogie boards for the ocean. I highly recommend this home!
Aside from the accommodations, be sure to do your homework on the area, only pesos are used generally, and you will need them for the local taxis too. There are limited grocery options and will only find shopping in Zihue. But worth it once you are in Paradise at Casa Dos Peces!
Troncones homes do not have numbered homes, that is why the homes have names. Our home os Casa Dos Peces, on Manzanillo Bay, next to Casa Punta Pelicano and the Inn at Manzanillo Bay.
We have a full staff, so you will be greeted by them upon arrival and they will help with your departure.
Nery, our house manager, will have all the information you need for WYFI and activities you may want to book.
