More information:: You walk strait into it (no stairs). It is the topmost unit (no footsteps overhead), but is entered as though on the ground floor as the unit is on the hillside. It is truly ski-in/out and has a beautiful view of the valley. There will be a brand new chair lift to ski to from the condo, so little ones will have no trouble.
There is so much space around this building you will feel like you are in a cabin. There is no building above you or on either side.

You could literally ski into the condo at the end of the day if you could ski on wood. Have your lift tickets put in the room - you can order ahead at a discount thru the building.
The run down to the condo at the end of the day from the top of the mountain is the prettiest on the hill, with almost 360 degree views of the whole valley. The best sledding hill in Crested Butte is right next door (the formeIn Fall, especially September 15-October 15 the leaves on the Aspens are a riot of color. Fishing, golfing, biking, and hiking beckon everywhere. For mountain bikers, the Upper Loop starts a few feet away.
Take the lift to the top and hike or mountain bike down! The fishing is great, and river rafting/canoeing is a must. Try Crested Butte in summer!
Local Area:: Enjoy skiing, mountain biking (the center of mountain biking in Colorado), wildflower viewing tours (plus festival!), hiking, fishing, mountain climbing (awesome!), sledding, cross-country skiing, kayaking in rivers (also awesome), tennis (courts are in the town for the community - the balls Fly! because of the altitude), golfing, river canoeing, ballooning, river floating while fishing (a must), snowmobiling, rafting, horseback riding, dogsledding, camping, backpacking, shopping, and really, really fine dining.
Crested Butte is a wonderful recreational mountain town, a half hour out of Gunnison. It has a western feel, yet is very sophisticated. It is in a beautiful, untouched area of Colorado - a welcome break from the crowded resorts like Aspen or Vail. The ski trails are awesome, the whole beauty of this place will carry you away.
My name is Robin Dreyfuss! I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I love my condo in Crested Butte, and take really good care of it. The kitchen is well-stocked for good cooks, there are 4 tv's...everything to relax. I have 3 semi-grown children, 3 cats, 1 dog and a wonderful husband. I'm in internet marketing by trade! Robin!
Robin Dreyfuss purchased this condo in 2003
We kept dragging our children around to different ski resorts when they were little. It was kind of hard to constantly find the ski school, rent the gear, etc. When everyone began wanting to go back to Crested Butte year after year, we finally decided to buy a place, and stop roaming. Every year I am involved up there, summer, fall or winter, the experience just keeps getting better. You know more about how and where to have fun!
hmmm. ski in and out, views, private shuttle in the winter! (the best thing in the world) and huge hot tub! and real fireplace with lots of wood for free! And 5 tv's with cable - even one in the kitchen for the busy cook.
Just wanted to say thanks for a great time in your condo. 28 inches of new snow. Fabulous. Hot tub and sauna were excellent. Also, Mary at the San Moritz, the driver for the Alpine Express, and Dave the shuttle driver for the San Moritz were exceptional. Better than exceptional.
Ours was a group of 5 mature guys (64 to 78) who love to ski. The condo was lovely and fit our needs extremely well....4 bedrooms plus a loft. It is a true "Ski in, ski out" location with just a 100 yard walk to the end of the parking lot. We like to cook breakfast in and some dinners so the well supplied kitchen was great. The condo sits high up on the slope overlooking Mt. Crested Butte so there are beautiful views in all directions. This is a plus and a minus. The minus is it is hard to walk anywhere. The San Moritz shuttle service available from 8 AM until midnight was a great for the most part and an essential service to make this condo work. The shuttle service was great during the day with prompt pick-up, often within 2 to 4 minutes. After hours was not as reliable except when Gareth was the driver. The condo owner was great to deal with. She was very helpful with lift ticket and ski rental information. We highly recommend this condo.
I had rented this condo 3 years ago for a group hiking trip but was unable to go due to a work situation. Everyone went but me....all raved about the place. I went in September 2104 during the fall colors & we had the most wonderful view of the hillsides and the town in the valley below. The condo itself is nicely furnished and there are 4 flat screen TVs, so everyone could watch what they wanted. The kitchen set up (pots, pans etc.) is probably the best I have seen in a rental. Robin the owner is great to deal. I am already planning a return visit.
This is a great place to gather a family together. Lots of room in the condo and so much to do in the area. We especially enjoy the fly fishing and hiking. Crested Butte is one of the most delightful Colorado mountain communities.
Incredible and charming apt/condo- great for families and a bargain compared to any other vacation. The place was exactly like we saw in the website pictures.
Golf: there are 2 golf areas nearby - the Crested Butte Club, and the Dos Rios golf course in Gunnison
Ski: In winter, completely ski-in/ski-out. The ski school is right next door, as are two lifts, Peachtree and the new chair lift. You could literally ski into the condo at the end of the day if you could ski on wood. Have your lift tickets put in the room - you can order ahead at a discount thru the building.
