Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. It mostly certainly is a place of relaxation and joy. We loved being able to share your story of the cabin with our daughters. We had a wonderful week in Vermont visiting my sister who lived just down the road and works at Shelburne Farms. Our daughters loved everything about the cabin, having their own beds, the hot tub, and having so much space to play. It was fun to see the beauty of Vermont. We are so thankful that God lead us to this wonderful place to stay. Thanks for making your cabin perfect!
Climbing to the top of Mt. Philo. Hold and feeding baby goats at Shelburne Farms. Seeing waterfalls in Middlebury and Vergennes. Pizza for dinner in Hinesburg. Swimming in the lake at a beautiful spot on the lake. The Country Store in Shelburne. Cookies at Cookie Love on Rt. 7!
Jordan's cabin is truly one of the greatest places we have ever been. My husband just walked around thanking everyone and me for the beautiful (thank you to you and your family) and special time we had a Jordan's cabin! We walked in and felt like little kids running around to explore such a beautiful place. We vowed our final night there that we would make this a yearly "friendship" weekend for all of us to wind down from the rush of life. This beautiful, calming, home you have shared with all of us, is the best place to do that.
Vermont was a first for some of the group but not for the rest, but we all had a spectacular time, from the shops downtown, to the breweries, to the skiing and snowmobiling, but all in all, our conversation always returned to the relaxation we felt when we were there... we had great nights, some of us enjoying the shooting stars from the hot tub, others from the campfire. The men playing chess, the ladies in the fuff chairs watching a chick flick.
We made wonderful memories that we will treasure forever. We love Jordan's cabin and we can't wait to come back, it has given us something to look forward too. God Bless you and your family Kris.

The cabin is spacious, well decorated in the rustic style and comfortable. We enjoyed the wrap around deck, the hot tub, DVD movie nights on the big tv and the expansive views of the mountains across the big yard and adjacent cornfield. Our greyhounds had plenty of room to run; it was nice to be able to have them with us. The cabin is close to the great little city of Vergennes where we enjoyed excellent meals at Antidote and Black Sheep. We also went to Charlotte and took the ferry across Lake Champlain. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Kris' log cabin.
We had a Fabulous time! The Fall colors were just beautiful the cabin was wonderful, Clean the beds comfortable with excellent bedding. The kids loved the game room and campfires every night! We enjoyed evening hot tub soaks and early morning soaks with coffee in hand! Was a great stay will be coming back for sure! And we will also be staying at your other larger home in Ripton with extended family! The tour of it was so appreciated! Thank yo we will be booking our winter stay there. It was very nice of the owners to do that for us
The house is in a beautiful setting and all amenities worked great (though TV service and internet were a little sporadic). We are already talking about the possibility of returning next year. House can sleep many people and they have stocked it with good books, board games and of course, the game room and hot tub, so you can stay there and totally enjoy yourself or venture out to the many great venues around town. I'm jealous if you are thinking of booking it in the near future. ENJOY!
Great property to have spent our vacation in. We enjoyed the porch and campfires with our grandkids.
We had a great time around the large table for our meals. Would recommend to others.
My husband and I were originally looking at waterfront rentals on Lake Champlain and ultimately chose Jordan's Cabin instead due to the listing mentioning that the cabin was private and on 56 acres. The photos of the backyard were beautiful and showed a wide open field. We thought this house will be perfect for our 2 dogs and high-energy toddler! We were looking for a week of relaxation hoping to spend most of the time around the house outside wandering in the backyard. However, when we arrived the backyard was small and there were fields and fields of corn. We were very disappointed as the pictures of the house did not depict this.
In addition, on our second to last day, people showed up unexpectedly to mow the lawn. I would have imagined something like this would occur during the check-out window before the next guests arrived and not during our stay? We were totally caught off guard (I was outside playing with the dogs and rushed to get them inside) and it also woke my daughter up from her nap.
I really hate to be negative as the cabin has received great reviews in the past. The house is beautiful and was very clean upon our arrival. We were just very disappointed by the pictures of the backyard.
