Get away from the stress of life, in this spacious 2100 square foot, NEW Cedar log home, complete with all the amenities of home. Enter the home from the covered front porch to the mud room, that contains a washer and dryer. On the main floor is the kitchen, completely furnished, including a breakfast bar for 3. A half bath is off the kitchen for your convince. The master bedroom contains a King size sleigh bed, with full bath, tub/shower, all linens provided. The living room has a new sleeper sofa and a matching regular sofa and a 47 inch tv with Direct TV and the Starz programming included. Open the French doors, from the front of the living room, to a large open front deck or go through the patio doors to a covered porch, complete with a gas grill, gas provided, and deck furniture.

On the second floor, is a bonus room with 32' flat screen tv, dvd player and new hideabed sofa, 2 bedrooms with 2 full size beds, and a full bath, tub/shower.

An covered aluminum boat dock , in a quiet cove, is provided. All that you need to bring for a great vacation, are your clothes and your food.

Labor Day Retreat

Our family rented this beautiful home for the Labor Day Weekend. I was so impressed when I walked in with how clean the home was. The layout is very open and great for a large family gathering. The kitchen is very well stocked. The property and lake views were beautiful. We also rented the pontoon boat for a day and had a wonderful time. John & Kim were very accommodating for all our needs. I would highly recommend this property for rental!

Eltzroth Family

We had a short vacation to Lake Barkley and stayed in a Cabin rented by John and Kim Morgan. There were 6 of us and the cabin was just right with my wife and I in the master bedroom, grandma in one bedroom, 1 kid in the other bedroom, and 1 kid on each of 2 sleeper sofas. The cabin is well furnished with everything one would need to stay a few days or a month. The kitchen is equiped with more items than our kitchen at home so all one needs to bring is their food and clothes. Spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake and wooded area and saw deer and other wildlife every day. Unfortunately, it rained almost every day we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the lake as much as we would have liked but did get clear down to the main body of the lake and took a few swings on the rope swing which we were told about.

The dock was very nice and includes a ladder for getting back on if one was swimming. It was convenient to have the boat tied up as opposed to having to launch and load it every time we went to the lake. The walk down to the lake and dock is steep but a drive has been built so that one can drive down there and back. This is especially nice for people who are not a mobile as they once were.

John and Kim are very nice and accomodating. They work very hard to provide the best experience for your stay.

Only difficult part is the driveway/parking which is tight and sloped. We managed fine and the cabin we rented had a concrete pad to one side which was great for parking our boat trailer.

Family vacation

An Extended Labor Day Weekend

We enjoyed our stay at Kim and John's lake house. The kitchen/dining/living open floor plan was great. It gave our 7 month old grandson plenty of room to crawl and play. The bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged for maximum privacy. Kim and John have anticipated renter needs and the house is well equipped with necessary cooking and serving utensils. It was nice to get to meet the owners while we were there. I give them an A+ for cleanliness and a very well taken care of property. We visited several area restaurants...Knoth's BBQ in Lake City, Patti's 1880 in Grand Rivers, Yesterday's Burgers and Cream in Paducah and Pagliai's in Princeton. We also purchase country ham, bacon and sausage at Broadbent's in Cadiz. I highly recommend all of these places. I would gladly stay there again. I'm thinking the view would be fantastic in October with colorful leaves on all the trees.
