About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

If you are looking for family fun or unique adventurous vacation then check out the Suwannee River in North Florida. A boater's paradise and well kept secret among seasoned travelers and avid boaters. Anglers love to get to the fishin' hole quickly in the NO no wake zone hundred mile long navigable river. Speed boaters zoom by in the no speed limit smooth glassy waters where you will scarcely hit the wake of another boater. Away from the coastal beach crowds the river is a welcome refreshment in the summer heat. Fed by dozens of springs the Suwannee is highly protected and undeveloped. Skiers love the glassy, uncrowded conditions. Adventurers and kids love to go to Bobs River Place where our friend Bob has turned his riverfront property into a natural water park.

The State of Florida owns most of the riverfront and that makes it both special and secluded from crowds. You will find few homes and very few rentals on this river because of its protected status. See the 'Real Florida' Come see what inspired Stephen Foster to write the state song 'Way Down upon the Suwannee River'. See our website for more info.

Great house with great screened front porch with view of river. Great seating on dock too!

  • 5 of 5

House was just what we needed. Had plenty of space for everyone. Mix of comfort levels in beds. Good bathrooms. Screened front porch was the best! Grill and fire pit were just what my group needed.

quite & cozy

  • 4 of 5

Nice quite house off the beaten path. No or very limited cell service. Not a better way to wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee than on the dock or the screened porch watching the Suwannee River.

Great place on the river!

  • 5 of 5

Peaceful and quiet cabin on the river with a great screened porch and dock. We really enjoyed our stay! No cell service or Internet with Tmobile, but it was kinda nice without it. Thank you to the Roy's for sharing their cabin with us!

Was as described so we knew it would work for our time together.

  • 4 of 5

We definitely enjoyed our stay. The family from Tenn. was grateful to check in early on Thurs. because they had driven all night and were very tired. Thanks you so much for allowing that. Fishing, boat watching, early relaxing, just watching the water, and seeing the big Sturgeon jumping was great.

The only thing we did not find was dish cloths and towels for the kitchen. There was lots of other linens. Not sure if you usually have those

available or not. (The other homes we have rented furnished those as well). The recliner did not work, it went back, but it did not want to stay closed. Just letting you know in case you were not aware of this.

You were easy to deal with and as stated in the title, were honest in your representation of your home and believe me in some of our past

rentals with others, that was not the case!! I am sure that you will always have return families and guests in your future rentals. You made it a good experience. We had not been able to get together in a while and that made this time together even more special along with still having space to spread out if we wanted to.

Thanks again,

S. Mobley and family ---Fl. and Tenn.

Suwannee River stay July 2 - July 9

  • 5 of 5

To Whom It May Concern,

We have been staying at this residence for several years. We thoroughly enjoy it everytime we go. Currently the addition of the beautiful dock and the upgrade of the dryer made the stay even more appealing. We cannot wait to stay there again. Again, kudos to Kat for the addition of the dock!

Sincerely,

Howard Akers
