The Lake House is located at the end of the circle in a wonderful older lake neighborhood. There are 2 bedrooms, bath, living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry on the main floor and the master bedroom and master bath are upstairs. The master has a queen bed, crib, sofa, chair and 42” flat screen TV. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, 32” flat screen TV and chair. Bedroom 3 has a twin bed, a double bed and 37" inch flat screen. The living room has a 47" flat screen and a wood burning fireplace. The kitchen has a self-cleaning oven, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of dishes and pots and pans.
The large concrete patio provides an excellent place for lake viewing, dining or watching the kids in the fenced yard. The fire pit will keep everyone warm on the cool evenings (you provide the wood). The covered shelter between the house and the dock provides a great place for relaxing and reading.
A gentle slope leads you to the 32' x 32' covered boat dock with a 14' slip and 12' platform for swimming, fishing and relaxing. A canoe is available for guest use. Please bring your own life jackets.
This property is perfect for families. Remember, 6 overnight guests and no more than 10 people on the property at any given time. Please no wild and crazy parties. We love our neighbors and respect their homes, families and privacy.
Travel GA 400 north to the North Georgia Mountains for a great day trip or head South on GA 400 to Buckhead, Midtown or Atlanta for a Braves, Falcon’s or Hawk's game, the World of Coke, the GA Aquarium, CNN Center or the Atlanta Zoo.
I will usually respond within a few hours to your inquiry. (Sometimes VRBO does not play will with technology. Resubmit or call if no response within 24 hours.)
Last minute rentals will be considered.
We purchased this property in 2004. It was our home until 2008. We became Grandparents and needed a larger place to accommodate our extended family. We live about 15 miles away and miss our great friends and neighbors.
Janey Boyles purchased this house in 2004
We loved the location, just one mile from GA 400. The channel/cove is great, deep and away from the busy parts of the lake. Close to town but felt as though we were in the county.
Great cozy house, quiet neighborhood, great part of the lake, 1 mile from GA 400, 2 miles from downtown Cumming, easy access to Atlanta and the North Georgia mountains. Because we are away from the larger parts of the lake, you can float the day or night away in the lake or rest peacefully on the dock.
This property is great for families. Please no large family reunions, birthday parties or fraternity/sorority/prom parties.
Review #15704765 “Great House + Great Lake + Great Location = Great Vacation”
Family Wedding Weekend
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Late review but well deserved! We stayed at Janey's lake home for our daughter's wedding. There were five of us staying there, but we also had the grandchildren come for the day after the wedding for family time. They all enjoyed the surrounding area and went on a short hike while we prepared brunch in the very well-equipped, up-to-date kitchen. The home is spotless, and every amenity of home is there, including the washer and dryer, which we used. All beds are comfortable and the whole home is nicely decorated. The views are awesome of the lake and surrounding area. The lighting is great due to the windows across the whole back. Had we brought our dog, he would have loved the fenced in area. Janey's communication is very timely and efficient. Checking in/out was simple. The location is perfect for proximity to all thoroughfares to anywhere....only one road to major roads (unlike many lake areas that have a multitude of windy roads to get anywhere). Everything was just perfect which made the wedding weekend even better. We will definitely request again for future visits to Atlanta. Janey was a most hospitable host!
We've stayed in this house twice now, and it is our favorite when visiting Lake Lanier. The house is immaculately maintained by the owners - clean and well equipped for comfort.
I rented the house for our annual fall fishing trip with my two sons, and ended up having another couple stay with us - they'd had to evacuate their home during Hurricane Matthew.
Plenty of room for the five of us, and owners were most gracious in accommodating the last minute change. The boys caught a few fish off the dock We all enjoyed evenings out on the patio (which overlooks the lake) roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire or grilling steaks.
Thanks J & B, for a wonderful experience! We hope to stay with you again.

We loved this place, wish we stayed longer,
I can't say any more than has already been said about this place, book it you won't be disappointed.
Loved Janey, she works so hard, does it all her self and cares so much about you, the comfort and enjoyment of your stay.
Thank you. Xx
Great house, dock, and cove in a quiet but convenient location. House was very clean and well stocked. We really enjoyed our week stay and plan to rent this property again. The owners were very accommodating.
We just returned to our home in Naples, FL having spent two weeks at Janey and Bob's home on the South end of Lake Lanier. We lived in Atlanta for many years so we know the area). It was perfect for us since we had numerous family and friends we wanted to visit in North Atlanta. This house is as close as you can get to good shopping and restaurants and is still in a very private location situated on a double lake lot with two docks. Janey has a well equipped kitchen with everything you need for meal preparation although we tend to eat out most of the time when we travel. The house is exceptionally clean which impressed us. One is never sure what you may encounter when it's a first time stay. Janey is meticulous about maintenance and cleanliness similar to how we are which made our stay very enjoyable. We rented a boat on a couple of occasions from nearby Bald Ridge Marina which is only a couple of miles from the property. We used the canoe the owners provided and loved the fact we could see some of the surrounding area on the water.
Each bedroom in the house has a nice flat screen TV and it was wonderful having a large flat-screen TV in the living area along with WIFI service which we use extensively. One of the nice things about this home" EVERYTHING WORKS".
We have a small dog (Bogie) who stays in his crate when we go out to dinner etc.. The home was perfectly suited for him with a fenced grassy area all around the home where he could rome when we were present. The dog gives this property a five start rating as well.
Our heartfelt 'Thanks' to both Bob and Janey for ensuring that we had everything we needed during our stay.
I stayed here two years in a row. So excited the first time with the gorgeous property on a beautiful lake.
House is well taken care of, perfect for privacy when you travel with friends.
Clean as a whistle!
So comfortable with everything you need! It's like visiting a friends house...you never want to leave!
Close to lots of restaurants, shops, water activities, antique shopping. Or just to relax and enjoy. The beautiful trees and lake make it hard not to forget about everything while your there!
Nestled in a very quiet neighborhood, very safe feeling! Owners very accommodating!
Hoping to stay again this year!!
