Drop down the lane to the vacation cabin on the river. You are out of the city and into the country in 60 seconds! Ducks, geese, birds are some of the wildlife you will see with a view from every window in the cabin. Drop in your fishing line, pick up that good book, and just relax...........
Back up the lane to restaurants, shopping, casino's, entertainment, and events in the Quad Cities that are happening daily. If you have a larger group we do have another rental right next door that you could go back and forth. That listing on VRBO is 559078 if you care to take a look at it.
Bring your boat/kayak and use the dock, or watch the Backwater Gamblers Ski Show just upstream every Wednesday and Sunday evening during the summer.
Winter is just as beautiful. See Eagles and deer right here along the river.

My husband and I have been married 30 years. We spent a lot of our free time with our two sons and their friends on the rivers in the summers (The Rock and the Mississippi):boating, camping, fishing, ice fishing - and in 1999 found a home on the river where we live today. We love it here on the river. It's the best!
Jeff and Rosanne Puck purchased this cabin in 2005
We have rented vacation rental cabins in Minnesota, Lake Okoboji in Iowa, and in Estes Park, Co. ourselves and have realized we have the best of everything right here and would like to share this we you!
Here you feel as if you are in the country, but right up the street are shopping, restaurants, theaters, museums, parks, 3 miles from the Mississippi Riverfront, casino's, and lots of live entertainment. Numerous events of the Quad Cities are DAILY! = NEVER A DULL MOMENT!! but without the drive!
Staying at this property was wonderful! It was very clean and well-maintained. The owners have gone out of their way to provide extra amenities which made the stay even more pleasant. Our interaction with the owners was enjoyable and made us look forward to returning should we need a place to stay in the Moline area again. This cabin comes with our highest recommendation!
There were 6 of us that stayed Wed thru Sun. Easy access, very clean, comfortable and relaxing being next to the river. Owner very accommodating and accessible if needed. Will come again and will recommend to others.
The cabin was lived in but pretty nice (clean, comfortable, accommodating). Definitely had the outdoorsy feel to it. We did not have any refills for the water cooler, as was stated somewhere in our rental information, so we bought extra bottles of water [I know we could have contacted the owners, but we had to make a trip to the store anyway]. The spots for fishing were limited due to tall grass at the shore and trees/branches in the river, so that was disappointing. We fished from the dock, which was okay since we were the only ones doing so. It would have been too crowded if the house next door also had guests. Overall, though, we enjoyed our family weekend. Our goals were to relax and fish, and we were mostly able to do both :).
We all enjoyed our time here very much. Roseanne & her husband were so nice to work with & helpful. Water pressure wasn't great but probably not much they can do about that. Cabin was clean & comfortable. Plenty of room & porch is nice facing the water. All in all it was nice to have this instead of hotel as we had room to gather & room for privacy.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The location was convenient to all the quad cities things we wanted to do. The river view and access was wonderful and my daughter had a great time on the rope swing! Older home has some quirky things about it (like weird locations for light switches, sounds, etc.), but overall nice stay at this rental!
I'm very pleased to say that our second stay was just as pleasant and comfortable as last year. We've come to love this house and the dock. See my previous review - 'A perfect little getaway place'.
This year, we took a day to spend in town and had a great time! (It turned into a Rock Island/Davenport pub crawl...)
Roseann is a wonderful hostess. By that I mean that she comes out and says hello, answers questions and gives us little local tips, but we never feel like she's 'watching' us. She likes that we enjoy her home and we're already looking forward to our third stay.
10 minutes from Moline Quad City International Airport, Casino's, QCCA, IMAX, John Deere Pavilion, Augustana College, Palmer College of Chiropractic, Rock Island Arsenal, Black Hawk State Park, River Music Experience, I-Wireless Center, plus too many more events to list. We now have 'The Cottage', so if you and another family are wanting to vacation together, we have another vacation rental right next door to 'The Cabin'.
