FALL SPECIAL STAY 2 GET 1 FREE

This special is running September 26 - November 23

Please ask about my Fall Special in your inquiry. Stay two nights and the third night is FREE!

This is my 4rd year in this wonderful business and I want to thank all of our great guests for their gratifying response. I believed people would love our enchanted cottage on the river, and I was right. Everyone who has stayed here has fallen in love with it. I knew they would, because my husband and I live two doors south and it is so awesome.

We're perfectly placed on the Deschutes River between the Old Mill section and downtown. Many guests never drive their car the entire time they are here. Everything is within walking distance from the cottage, including tremendous brew pubs, restaurants and shops.

We set out to make our pet-friendly cottage a 5 star vacation destination home and that is how everyone has rated us. You must read our reviews! From the very beginning, our plan was to do everything we could to make your vacation perfect. We provide a lush and welcoming cottage complete with the finest quality furnishings and amenities.

You'll discover a beautifully-appointed kitchen with abundant spices and most of the basics you'd need for cooking. The living room has an enormous HD TV with Blu-Ray; the charming bedrooms are attractive and unique. The baths offer your choice of a roomy shower or an antique ball and claw foot tub for a deep soak. There is a full laundry room.

We provide welcome wine, a s'more kit for the fire pit by the river; coffee beans and a grinder (with regular coffee maker and a French press) and so much more.

We have completely decorated our riverfront cottage thinking of your every need. The photos will knock you out! There is all-new flooring and carpeting, as well as all-new furnishings and linens to give it that great resort, clean feel. In 2012, we added new

kitchen appliances.

The French doors from the kitchen open onto a large deck and expansive yard directly on the Deschutes River where you can swim, fish or experience any river sports you wish! (There is double fencing for your children's security from the river and a fenced yard for your pet.)

There is a very cool outside bar, plus all kinds of dining sets with umbrellas, comfy Adirondack chairs and a large, all-season gazebo with a full set of rattan furnishings in it.

Our Four Seasons: Each season has gems waiting to be discovered. In the winter, Mt. Bachelor is a mecca for skiers and boarders; plus, there are many areas to cross-country ski. Making snowmen with the little kids is such fun.

In the spring, you have baby ducks, geese, osprey, eagles and blossoms everywhere. As the greens explode in the trees and everything is in bloom, many of those snow sport fans shift over to golfing, bicycling, running and hiking.

What can't you do here in summer? Our summer sports equipment includes stand-up paddleboards, kayaks and floaties (all are provided at no extra charge).

Fall brings us the fabulous colors, and things start to quiet down to an easier pace. Relaxing by the river remains a favored pastime, as well as most of the summer sports.

We welcome friendly dogs, and they give us solid paws up ratings, too. Dogs love the big riverfront backyard and they can swim right here!

It's easy for them to get in and out of the river when the double fences are open, and best of all for you, we don't charge extra for dogs.

Last summer, our cottage was rented every single day. The only thing I hate is when we are vacant, because that means someone is missing the

vacation of a lifetime. So I will deal for last minute bookings. But if you are really smart, you will book TODAY and receive your desired time. Look at my calendar; you will notice we book well in advance. So book early if I have convinced you this will be one of

the best vacations you have ever had.

It really will be.

About Jackie Haworth

Ray and Jackie Haworth are retired and loving life living on the river in Bend. Ray is a retired LA City Fireman and Jackie ('Jo Jo') is a retired antique store owner who enjoys being a grandmother.

We enjoy all the beauty of Bend's outdoors : Snow Skiing, Tennis, Kayaking and more. We love seeing the eagles fish on the river, and walking to our favorite restaurant for dinner and a movie. We walk everywhere we need to go!

We look forward to meeting you and making your vacation perfect!

Jackie Haworth purchased this cottage in 1998

Why Jackie Haworth chose Bend

We live on the River two houses away and we love living on the river so much we want to share the experience with others. Bend is a fabulous find. We love floating on the river, swimming, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.

And of course in the winter, there is skiing, snow-shoeing, cross country skiing, and eating in all the fabulous pubs and diners we have in Bend, within walking distance of our home and rental cottage. Come join us you'll love it. Read our reviews; you'll see yourself writing one of these after your stay with us!

What makes this cottage unique

We go to the cottage to watch sporting events on the 55 inch T.V. or watch Blue Ray HD DVDs. Of course, if we didn't live here we would come for the River Kayaking, Floating, Concerts, First Friday Art Walks, Skiing, Les Schwab Amphitheater Events, Hiking and Biking.

There are so many reasons we left Laguna Beach for Bend, especially the four seasons. Everyone agrees it's a fantastic place to stay, and it would be even without all of the extras we provide such as the stand-up paddleboards, kayaks and swimming right outside your door!

Could not have been a better trip!

  • 5 of 5

My family just returned from a week at this amazing home! Jackie provided EVERYTHING including SUP, kayaks, bikes, tubes and even wine as we walked into the door! I have never stayed at a more equipped VRBO... Ever! Our 2 year old had a blast playing in the backyard and I never worried about him due to the two gates protecting him from the river. We've already booked for 2017 and it's a good thing, because the summer is already totally full. We cannot wait for our trip next year!

We keep coming back!

  • 5 of 5

Another amazing experience at the Enchanted Cottage! Jackie and Ray think of everything and this time we brought friends - who now also agree. We had both relaxing rain and glorious sun and we were equipped for it all thanks to their comfy and well appointed accommodations. Now our friends want to bring their family back to enjoy this terrific spot. We explored many new places as it is central to everything. What a great place, highly recommended.

Back Again!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Jackie and Ray's wonderful cottage so many times I've lost count. We keep coming back because it doesn't get any more perfect. The dogs love it, we love it. We feel content, comfortable, and totally relaxed when we're here and consider it "home". We roll in and roll out now like we own the joint (and wish we did). Jackie and Ray are the most interesting, accommodating, and delightful people who we now call friends. The location is ideal for anything you may want to do in this beautiful part of the world. If you can find a time to come to Bend and stay here, don't miss out. Cabo and Mikki give it 8 paws up!!

Adorable Cottage with all the comforts of home

  • 5 of 5

We were 2 couples + 2 year old baby + happy traveling dog. We enjoyed the cottage over Easter weekend and found it to be comfortable, very joyful decor, extremely well-provisioned, and located in a great spot on the Deschutes River with an enclosed yard, lots of grass that our dog loved to roll around in, and several outdoor seating areas where guests can enjoy the river, relax in the sun, etc., etc. There is a footbridge very close by where you can cross the river to a park where our 2 year old was able to play and blow off some toddler energy. Owners live just a couple of doors down and are kind and sociable. All in all, a delightful way to spend the Easter holiday with family. Thank you Jackie and Ray for sharing your happy nest with us -- we give it 2 big thumbs up!!

Awesome house! Definitely will be back!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 4 adults and 1 infant recently stayed in this house right on the river with a great backyard and deck to hang out on. The location is perfect for anything in Bend, mountain bike to Phils or Cog Wild, walk to the Mill, walk downtown for dinner/drinks, walk up and float the river back, or walk across the people bridge to the park just across the river from the house. The little details made this house memorable - welcome wine (2 bottles), a huge bag of coffee, smores ingredients, and all the toiletries available for your use (you don't need to bring any with you, maybe just toothpaste). Also this house was EXTREMELY/impressively clean, considering that they do allow dogs also. The owners are 2 houses down if you need anything during your stay. More than 4 adults in the house may be a bit tight but you can fit 6 people in beds.

Absolutely Perfect Location and Home

  • 5 of 5

I reserved this wonderful home a year in advance after floating down the river and envying the then current renters enjoying the lawn and direct river access. I am so glad I made that reservation. I just returned from a 2 week stay and wish I was still there. The house, the neighborhood, the location, the yard and river access, etc. make staying in the home a true vacation. The house is charming and well stocked for vacation needs. I used the bikes frequently to get some additional exercise or to run errands. Afternoons were spent watching the activity on the river and jumping in for a tube float to Drake Park and a short walk back home. Most nights I grilled dinner on the back deck and ate outside. I left Bend with my reservation in hand for next year. The best vacations are those you don't want to end, but when they do, you are refreshed and relaxed with great memories and a desire to return. This home provided me all these things.

float or kayak right from the back yard. Kayaks and Stand Up Paddle Boards included. Walk to Les Schwab Amphitheater, downtown Bend or Old Mill. We now also have Stand-up Paddle Boards the favorite with our guest. Don't miss out 2 weeks left this summer. Fall is great on the River also, the water is still warm. Try us for Thanksgiving, you could dine in the Gazebo on the River. For you that want to do the Ale Trail, the breweries/restaurants are within walking distance, what a great way to spend a fall day.
