Riverfront Cottage on the Water THE PLACE TO BE! 2 Bed + 2 Baths Sleeps 6

MARCH MADNESS

Stay TWO NIGHTS today through the end of April and receive TWO NIGHTS FREE!!!

Enjoy spring skiing or on the hot and sunny days take a paddle board or kayak out right from our yard! We provide the boards and boats you enjoy the fun!

This is my 4th year in this wonderful business and I want to thank all of our great guests for their gratifying response. I believed people would love our enchanted cottage on the river, and I was right. Everyone who has stayed here has fallen in love with it. I knew they would, because my husband and I live two doors south and it is so awesome.

We're perfectly placed on the Deschutes River between the Old Mill section and downtown. Many guests never drive their car the entire time they are here. Everything is within walking distance from the cottage, including tremendous brew pubs, restaurants and shops.

We set out to make our pet-friendly cottage a 5 star vacation destination home and that is how everyone has rated us. You must read our reviews! From the very beginning, our plan was to do everything we could to make your vacation perfect. We provide a lush and welcoming cottage complete with the finest quality furnishings and amenities.

You'll discover a beautifully-appointed kitchen with abundant spices and most of the basics you'd need for cooking. The living room has an enormous HD TV with Blu-Ray; the charming bedrooms are attractive and unique. The baths offer your choice of a roomy shower or an antique ball and claw foot tub for a deep soak. There is a full laundry room.

We provide welcome wine, a s'more kit for the fire pit by the river; coffee beans and a grinder (with regular coffee maker and a French press) and so much more.

We have completely decorated our riverfront cottage thinking of your every need. The photos will knock you out! There is all-new flooring and carpeting, as well as all-new furnishings and linens to give it that great resort, clean feel. In 2012, we added new

kitchen appliances.

The French doors from the kitchen open onto a large deck and expansive yard directly on the Deschutes River where you can swim, fish or experience any river sports you wish! (There is double fencing for your children's security from the river and a fenced yard for your pet.)

There is a very cool outside bar, plus all kinds of dining sets with umbrellas, comfy Adirondack chairs and a large, all-season gazebo with a full set of rattan furnishings in it.

Our Four Seasons: Each season has gems waiting to be discovered. In the winter, Mt. Bachelor is a mecca for skiers and boarders; plus, there are many areas to cross-country ski. Making snowmen with the little kids is such fun.

In the spring, you have baby ducks, geese, osprey, eagles and blossoms everywhere. As the greens explode in the trees and everything is in bloom, many of those snow sport fans shift over to golfing, bicycling, running and hiking.

What can't you do here in summer? Our summer sports equipment includes stand-up paddleboards, kayaks and floaties (all are provided at no extra charge).

Fall brings us the fabulous colors, and things start to quiet down to an easier pace. Relaxing by the river remains a favored pastime, as well as most of the summer sports.

We welcome friendly dogs, and they give us solid paws up ratings, too. Dogs love the big riverfront backyard and they can swim right here!

It's easy for them to get in and out of the river when the double fences are open, and best of all for you, we don't charge extra for dogs.

Last summer, our cottage was rented every single day. The only thing I hate is when we are vacant, because that means someone is missing the

vacation of a lifetime. So I will deal for last minute bookings. But if you are really smart, you will book TODAY and receive your desired time. Look at my calendar; you will notice we book well in advance. So book early if I have convinced you this will be one of

the best vacations you have ever had.

It really will be.

About Jackie Haworth

Ray and Jackie Haworth are retired and loving life living on the river in Bend. Ray is a retired LA City Fireman and Jackie ('Jo Jo') is a retired antique store owner who enjoys being a grandmother.

We enjoy all the beauty of Bend's outdoors : Snow Skiing, Tennis, Kayaking and more. We love seeing the eagles fish on the river, and walking to our favorite restaurant for dinner and a movie. We walk everywhere we need to go!

We look forward to meeting you and making your vacation perfect!

Jackie Haworth purchased this cottage in 1998

Why Jackie Haworth chose Old Bend

We live on the River two houses away and we love living on the river so much we want to share the experience with others. Bend is a fabulous find. We love floating on the river, swimming, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.

And of course in the winter, there is skiing, snow-shoeing, cross country skiing, and eating in all the fabulous pubs and diners we have in Bend, within walking distance of our home and rental cottage. Come join us you'll love it. Read our reviews; you'll see yourself writing one of these after your stay with us!

What makes this cottage unique

We go to the cottage to watch sporting events on the 55 inch T.V. or watch Blue Ray HD DVDs. Of course, if we didn't live here we would come for the River Kayaking, Floating, Concerts, First Friday Art Walks, Skiing, Les Schwab Amphitheater Events, Hiking and Biking.

There are so many reasons we left Laguna Beach for Bend, especially the four seasons. Everyone agrees it's a fantastic place to stay, and it would be even without all of the extras we provide such as the stand-up paddleboards, kayaks and swimming right outside your door!

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

Nice accomodations, private dock and lots of river toys. Beds were so comfy! Very quiet neighborhood. Kitchen had what we needed for cooking, but there are so many wonderful dining options close by downtown that we went out a lot. Snow at My B was awesome!

Everything you need, with extra special touches and stellar hosts!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in this home! When I texted the owners asking if they had fishing gear for our kids to try their hand in the river, they brought new ones over within the hour. The kayaks and dock were a hit with kids, adults (and dogs) alike. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and baking basics, a huge slow cooker and griddle and everything else we looked for. Jackie could not have been more clever with her homey touches and decadent soaps and decor and wine and a s'more gift basket (which we didn't get a chance to use since the weather was less cooperative than the hosts were). All in all a perfect place to stay in Bend!

Owner's Response: Cutest family ever! The boys 9 and 11 were so happy, being under 12 could fish off the dock without fishing licenses! Only problem, even though we went out and got new poles and worms for them they didn’t catch any fish! They did see a kingfisher bird dive in and get one, so they know they are there! Maybe next time they will get some, sure hope so! Love this family hope they return soon. Love this business!

Cozy and comfortable home on the river!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the riverfront cottage could not have been better. Jackie and Ray provide a comfortable, fully furnished home. The kitchen was great and easy to cook in. Such a comfortable home to relax in between all that Bend has to offer. Check in and check out was so easy and convenient! Highly recommend. We will be back!!

Owner's Response: It was so fun meeting these wonderful people, they had us over for a salmon dinner, the husband is a firemen, as Ray was, firemen make such wonderful husbands, and really good cooks. They made a big fire and we had s'mores around it, down by the river. I too love that cottage. I can't wait until they return again.

Cozy, comfy cottage in Bend

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our short stay at the cottage very much. The beds are very comfortable, both bathrooms are well stocked with towels, soaps, shampoos and hair dryers, the kitchen had everything we needed ... Plus! The coffee and welcome wine were very appreciated!

The location on the river is great. We visited Bend for the skiing and it was a little cold to enjoy the wonderful oasis in the backyard but as the weather warms up I'm sure that is where most guests spend their time.

Thank you Jackie for thinking of everything a guest would need!

Owner's Response: Makes me so happy when the cottage is appreciated! It’s my life’s work trying to keep it in perfect condition for our wonderful guest! Come again in the summer and enjoy all the toys on the river, the stand up paddle boards and kayaks are so much fun! And of course we have floaters for everyone so you can float the Deschutes and go thru the rapids at the safe passage! Hope to see you again this summer! Jackie

Cozy and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cottage for a couples weekend and it was perfect for our needs! The house was well supplied with everything we needed to make dinner in and we appreciated the large couch for lounging. The location is great with easy access to shops and restaurants, and we enjoyed talking walks on the river trail every day. We would definitely stay here again!

float or kayak right from the back yard. Kayaks and Stand Up Paddle Boards included. Walk to Les Schwab Amphitheater, downtown Bend or Old Mill. We now also have Stand-up Paddle Boards the favorite with our guest. Don't miss out 2 weeks left this summer. Fall is great on the River also, the water is still warm. Try us for Thanksgiving, you could dine in the Gazebo on the River. For you that want to do the Ale Trail, the breweries/restaurants are within walking distance, what a great way to spend a fall day.
