Hi, I'm a real estate broker with nearly 40 years of experience. I have owned and operated this property for more than 20 years. I've tried to make it the place I love to be in Monterey, I hope you will love it as much.
We enjoy being in Monterey because the weather is always comfortable, there are so many things to do and wonderful great restaurants. Our family thinks this place is heaven. We have everything we need here in our home, so when we arrive we can just settle in for true enjoyment. Mickie and Frank
Mickie Constantino purchased this house in 1994
Near the Presidio and Monterey Institute of International Studies. Please use echeck only.
If location is important, this is the place for you. It is near to everything, great restaurants, museums, ocean walks, incredible fresh fish and whale watching trips.
We loved our stay at your wonderful home. We would like to return next year and stay longer, one month was not enough.
We arrived in June and leave October 31. Our 5 months here have been a wonderful experience. The pictures accurately reflect the character and furnishings of the home. It's comfortable and nicely furnished. The back yard is very private and the grill and patio furniture make that a nice space to use. Having a garage was also an asset.
The bedrooms are nicely sized with lots of closet space. The kitchen is cheery and has everything one needs for fixing meals. The fireplace was especially nice on cool foggy mornings when it was nice to just "take the chill" off.
My husband and I do enjoy walking and within 10-15 minutes could be at the wharf, Custom Plaza, the library, downtown Monterey, and the Art Museum. The walk uphill can be a bit daunting, but is certainly doable--I preferred a saunter to an aerobic experience but either works. During June, July, and through Labor Day there is a FREE trolley that would take us from downtown out to the Aquarium. Often we would walk out and take the trolley back downtown, pick up some groceries from Trader Joe's and then walk home.
This is a very comfortable, clean and well maintained property.
The house is great, very comfortable and clean. The fireplace makes it very cozy too. It is conveniently located, in a quiet neighborhood, about 20 min walking to downtown Monterey and Fisherman's Wharf. We stayed there with our young kids and we all loved our two months in Monterey. Mickie is a wonderful person and was very helpful. Any time we had a question, we could reach her by phone. The kitchen is sweet in yellow, very well equipped, the patio is private and nice. Laundry is convenient too. The view of the bay in the morning when we woke up, was just amazing! Shopping for food is easy, Trader Joe's downtown Monterey or WholeFoods in the Del Monte Center. There are other options too. Thank you, Mickie, for a wonderful Monterey experience!
This is a a lovely home that shows much TLC. I have spent the past 7 summers in vacation rentals in Monterey. Mickies's home is the best cared for and best equipped I have stayed in. Mickie has thought of everything to make a vacation stay in Monterey perfect. The home is roomy and well appointed and matches the description perfectly. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, but has easy access to town and attractions.
I especially appreciated the cleaning service provided every two weeks. Having a garage was a wonderful perk for a Monterey home. It was so nice not to have to wipe mist off the windows each morning before I set out. I was overwhelmed by all the choices on the Direct TV and spoiled by the wonderful bed.
Mickie was very attentive to questions or problems and provided quick answers or sent the handy man to check things out right away.
The home is in a great location. During my stay I attend aquatic exercise classes at the Monterey Sports Center, line dance and watercolor classes at the senior center. The aquarium is a wonderful place to visit and on Saturday and Sunday nights during June & July when they have "evenings by the bay" with food and music from 6-8pm--a great time to visit when daytime crowds are gone. The Tuesday farmers market on Alvarado Street is a must. I love Point Lobos for hiking and tide pooling or just watching the sea.
The Monterey peninsula is such a wonderful place to explore at any season. It offers something for everyone: ocean and sea shore, art, theater, music, shopping, fine restaurants.
I was very comfortable here during my 6 week stay and plan on returning next summer for a longer stay.
This is indeed our home away from home. Do you want a well maintained, darling two bedroom, two bathroom home with a fantastic bay view, within walking distance of beautiful downtown Monterey and the wharf? We did and we found that and more.
This home comes with a gardner, housekeeper and an owner who takes pride in the property and is very responsive to any questions or needs. We didn't realize all of the added benefits this house provides. This home is in the sun belt. We spend many hours reading in the sunny, secluded back garden. The view of the bay during the day is always captivating but the lights across the bay at night are magical. We walk to the farmers' market, a movie theater, restaurants, the wharf, coffee shops, Cannery Row, beautiful beaches and either north or south on the 26 mile bike/hike trail along the coast. It is a short distance to Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach and Big Sur. We quietly hear taps from the Presidio at night and awake to the distant sound of seals in the morning.
Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay is here for your use. Everything you could ever need for a memorable experience is here for your discovery.
We encourage you to contact Mickie and make arrangements to stay in her home any other time than when we want to.
Mickie & Frank's home is just as they describe it; nicely furnished, clean & well maintained. It is just far enough away from the hub bub of the town but close enough to walk, if you can manage the hill on the way back up. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly & safe. We especially enjoyed the private patio, seeing the Bay from the front window & the sounds of the sea lions at night.
We enjoyed strolling along the water's edge & the sights & sounds of the sea. The seafood in the restaurants is much fresher than we are able to to find at home. Carmel is just a few miles away with all of its attractions.
Mickie & Frank are available & take care of any concerns immediately. The home is well stocked with the little things that one might forget to bring along. Our stay was a very pleasant experience!
I stayed here for two weeks during an intensive certificate program at Monterey Institute and the experience couldn't have been easier. The house is quiet, despite being attached to another dwelling, and all the amenities were perfect. It was so nice to have regular kitchen and laundry access as well as more space, for about the same price as a hotel. It is an easy downhill walk to town (yes, that means it's a somewhat more strenuous, but doable walk back up), and the environment was perfectly lovely. I wish I'd had more free time to enjoy the outdoor courtyard. Maybe next time...
